We revisited this location on a Saturday morning around11:00am for a warranty exchange of a mattress we bought last year. The place was not busy at the time and we were taken care of after verifying the warranty specifics. The sales rep was very patient and courteous. We finally up grade to a better mattress after a lot of testing and back and forth negotiation. The rep was very helpful in making suggestions and concessions on prices. At the end we were satisfied on the outcome. I would recommend anyone to at least visit this place when looking for a new mattress before deciding to buy. Got a defective matteress... twice! (see pics below) Spoke to Justin, the manager and his answer was "submit your issue online, we don't have anything to do with that." When I tried to talk to him about customer service, he cut me off and started quoting his memorized lines again. When I asked if I could finish my sentence he said "No. We are done." He was about to hang up on me, but I beat him to it. lol! I was upset, but I didn't use foul language or raise my voice. I'm sure they will check the recordings after my complaint. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! this was my first time buying a mattress and after doing loads of searching online I decided it would be a good idea to try the mattresses out in store. on my first visit I encountered a sales rep (very knowledgeable and nice I unfortunately didn't catch his name but had short blond hair) who answered all my questions and told me the best recommendations for what I was looking. after showing me the different options, he let me be to try out the mattresses. so glad I tried out the online mattresses (for example: purple) because it was so much more different than I thought it would be. I, of course, ended up at tempur pedic and simmered between medium and firm. after this I left to think and wait for the Memorial Day sale. on my second visit, I was assisted by Angel and oh my goodness was he an Angel!!!!! he answered all my questions regarding firmness recommendations that would work best for me along with answering all my questions on pricing for foundations, pillows and mattresses. I told him I would return Memorial Day weekend to purchase... and on my third visit, I knew this visit I wanted the tempur pedic but needed to decide between the two firmness options and was luckily assisted by Angel once more who helped answer all my questions. AND he remembered me! there was a deal that weekend for accessories and he was there patiently answering all the questions I had (seriously for so long) and he did not rush my family while we were making decisions trying to find products that fit within that offer. he was very informed on the products on the floor. he truly made the purchasing experience great. I did not feel pressured at all and when I went to checkout he made sure everything was perfect and tried to help me get the best offer I could. the delivery process was great! it came when I wanted it to and I got multiple notifications. the team was on time and followed my instructions and put the mattress and foundation bases where I needed them to and I was completely satisfied + they were super nice! on my fourth visit, I had gotten an email that because I had purchased X amount I was eligible for a $100 credit for the promotion they had at the time and another sales associate (short dark hair) helped me answer questions regarding the best bed sheets for me and took care of my purchase. plus I ran into Angel again and he still remembered! overall: such a great experience I didn't expect especially when it comes to such an expensive, large purchase. great location - please come here and ask for Angel. he will make your experience awesome!!! also all the other sales associates I encountered were equally as nice and great. We walk in and are instantly greeted, and are asked what are we looking for. A full size bed frame. They have none on the floor and they think there is one in the back, they check, and they do! That's not the reason for the five stars, the five stars is for the attitudes of the two employees in the store. There's a pandemic going on. We have to wear masks (I add this because if you're asthmatic, it can feel like you're choking), but their spirits were so high. Everything was smooth, fast, and just a really nice atmosphere. Great deal and fantastic experience at Mattress Firm thanks to Cliff. First, although it may not seem like the safest time to go mattress shopping, we also happened to be moving during the pandemic. We needed a new bed in our new home. All staff were wearing masks and they provided us pillow covers while we shopped to keep us safe while we tried various mattresses. As soon as we got in, we were welcomed by Cliff. We didn't feel pressured or rushed in the whole process, he just listened to what we had to say and made some recommendations. Intentional or not, we felt like he had a system for figuring out what we liked. He paid attention to what we liked or disliked about the first few mattresses. He then walked us through the store to specific mattresses to narrow it down further. Clearly very knowledgeable and patient, he helped us figure out between two beds we were stuck on to select our favorite mattress. This was the third mattress store we visited and the third sales associate we worked with. We're glad we drove down to Irvine to try this location since the one closest to us was closed. We did our shopping and the price we paid was competitive and we received excellent service as well. The only con of this experience was the delivery. I am deducting one star for this. Per the website, "sanitary blue booties [will be used] to protect your home" however when I asked the delivery man if he had booties he said he didn't. And as soon as I asked that, it seemed he was displeased with me, and became not very friendly. $50 "red carpet delivery" but it didn't feel very red carpet at all. read more

Me and my girlfriend were looking for a Purple mattress and wanted to feel what it's like to be on one. I had the pleasure of having Clayton Spires as our sales rep. I am always leery of sales people being overly pushy, but he was the complete opposite. He was extremely kind, humble, and knowledgeable! He helped my wife and I find an excellent mattress at a price that was better than any of the other stores we had been to (Sit 'n Sleep, etc.). Plus MattressFirm was able to deliver it the next day (compared to the Tempurpedic store in South Coast Plaza said it would be at least 3 weeks). What kind of company delivers an obviously USED mattress to someone? Hell-freaking-lo we are in the midst of a Corona Virus Pandemic! The mattress had a DISGUSTING stain on it, and one layer of the inside mattress material was obviously bunched up at the foot area of the mattress! Now I know why the 2 delivery drivers were so fast in wanting to get out of my house after they had installed the used mattress. Although another mattress is being delivered today, I am tempted to refuse delivery and go elsewhere to buy another mattress. I spent over $2000 on a used mattress. I ought to be compensated in some way shape or form for this fiasco! I will NEVER refer ANYONE to your company. I'd give you ZERO stars if I could. They charged me 3600 for a sterns and foster cal king. Shipping is terrible not white glove. Guys are rude, they needed 4 men to bring in bed. They didn"t know how to put together a frame it was in a pie shape not square. Asked them to fix. They were mad wanted to leave. Gave me dirty looks. Trashed the bed up my walls in to my stucco wall outside tears the packaging off bed and ripped package before in my home. Bed is a second! The pillow top is sewn off center so it does not cover mattress. They left and had my kid sign the form. This place is a joke! Rip off! I am irate! read more

The bed is comfortable but the toxic chemical fumes emanating from the bed are overwhelming and cannot possibly be safe particularly when you will be spending 8 hours a day in close proximity to the noxious fumes. I'm also fairly disgusted that I wasn't forewarned that there would be a horrific smell until AFTER the purchase when I received an email stating that the "smell of new materials and foams will dissipate within a few days" and when I talked to the store manager they said it would be more like a week that the mattress would need to be "aired out". They also tell you AFTER the purchase that it's normal for the mattress to conform to your body permanently i.e. an impression spot will form and they compare it to the insole of your shoe conforming to your foot and they state that it is not a reflection of a defective mattress. But this just sounds to me like some marketing BS to explain away the fact that the foam mattresses is actually an inferior quality and will form sinkholes in your bed within just a few months. My mom purchased a new foam bed from MattressFirm at the same time and she told me after it was delivered that there were no tags on her bed - and coincidentally her bed does not smell - as if it had been previously aired out. So apparently they sold my mom a floor model or returned bed at the full retail price. She loves the bed and I'm grateful that she does not have to tolerate the toxic smell but I will never shop at MattressFirm as they clearly have no ethics taking advantage of customers and selling products that are clearly full of toxins. I'm also wondering if MattressFirm broke California's AB-2998 law that bans certain toxic substances and requires stores to let people know when there are dangerous toxins in products. read more
