If you are looking for a mattress read this first. I recently resigned from the military and moved to Raleigh, NC from FT Bragg, NC. On 8 July 2016, I starting looking for a new mattress. My first stop was Macy then Sears; both visits were horrendous. One person was texting on their cell with no concern for my business and the other sale person was unable to answer basic questions (warranty, delivery, etc). I started driving home being very frustrated. As I was Driving down HWY 1 I stopped at Oliver Garden for lunch. I saw Mattress Firm a stone throw away. With hesitation in my mind and still needing a mattress I decided to stop in. Once I entered the door, Ricky McMillan greeted me with professionalism. He did not invade my space, like a coyote seeking his meal for the day, he simply said "If you have questions I am here for your service." After walking the store, I addressed Ricky with many concerns and questions. Without pause in his voice everything I asked he answered. From the time I enter Mattress Firm, my purchase, delivery date, and satisfaction all took place within 30 minutes. I left and went to lunch. No I am not paid for this rating. After 30 years of military service, and the poor experience I received from two major retailer I felt Ricky deserved a kudo. You, the consumer, should go out of your way to visit this store, why...save your time from hopping from retail stores. Job well done, Ricky! Let me begin by stating that I usually do not hand out 5 stars in a review. However, the service we received was enough to warrant such a rating. My family went to Rooms to Go in Dunn, NC to look for several items that we needed. No such luck...we left empty handed. On our way back to Wake Forest we made a last minute decision to look for a bed and stopped in at this store. Both doors were locked. I looked at the closing time and noticed we were 15 minutes late. A gentleman inside came to the door and said that we were welcome to come inside to look around. Expecting him to go back to closing things down, we proceeded in. After showing us the beds we were looking for he noted a deal they were having at the time. I asked if they had any discounts for students and he said that he would do what he could. Within 30 minutes we had decided that we were gonna buy the bed. In and out. By the way...I asked Rooms to Go if they had discounts for students and they said no. If your in the market to buy a bed, let me recommend this store. I later found out that the store manager Ricky is the one who helped me. If his staff is anything like him, then you will be treated well. As far as the delivery goes, they arrived right on time. They setup up the bed, gave me the warranty and some important information to remember and off they went. Total setup time for a king tempurpedic 15 min. The setup time was a bit worrying because my daughter had an event to get to. But I had no reason to worry. They did great. read more

We are relocating from. the Washington DC area to Wake Forest NC. Since we wanted to spend the night in the new house after settlement we were in need of a bed. I originally ordered a bed at our local Sleepy's and was going to pick it up at Matress Firm since they are the same store. A few days after I placed the order I received a call stating that Sleepy's and Matress Firm were still merging and the order would not be there on time because of warehouse issues. Since we were running short on time I called the Matress Firm store in Wake Forest Crossing and spoke to Ricky (the store manager). After explaining my situation he assured me that if I came to the store he would have a bed at my house the same day. We stopped at the store before we closed on our house which was going to take place at 11:00AM. We arrived at the store when they opened at 10:00. We met up with Rickey and had a bed selected in 15 minutes. He told us it would be delivered between 7 - 10 that evening. Since we left our house in MD very early that morning to do a final walk thru at the new house at 8:00AM the thought of 10:00 wasn't appealing. To our surprise we received a call and the bed was delivered about 4:30 that afternoon. My husband and I went to get a new mattress. We decided to go in this new store in Wake Forest to look for one that would be cool for sleeping. I had a $ figure I wanted to stay in but after the expert advise from Ricky we decided to upgrade to the Tempurpedic Breeze. He did all he could to get us the very best price. He understood the anxiety of such a large $ purchase . We wanted to get it delivered that day but due to being late in the day, the delivery team could not get this done. Ricky made sure it was delivered the next day and one of the items we got with the bed was not in the warehouse so Ricky personally went to another store and brought this to our home himself. I think that is outstanding that he went the extra mike to make sure we got all that we ordered. He also called to make sure the bed delivery went seamlessly and that we were happy with our choice. I had a wonderful experience at this Mattress Firm location. Ricky was very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. I am really impressed by the Mattress Firm return policy (return for an $80 change or exchange for another mattress), I feel that the company really wants to ensure that I made the correct choice. Ricky was very accommodating, due to my pending home purchase I was unable to purchase my desired mattress immediately, I was able to lock in the sales price with a small deposit and will be able to obtain the special no interest financing after my home purchase is complete in a couple of week. Ricky was wonderful. I was comparison shopping with my daughter for a new mattress, and we had been to a couple places already. We were leaving his store, headed to Macy's, and he came out and basically sold my daughter a mattress in the parking lot. He was very helpful in helping her select a mattress that was perfect for her. He delivered the mattress at our convenience and took her old mattress away. A very easy process, and she got a great deal. She's been sleeping on it for two days now and loves it. Honestly, my son & I just went in to look/price a new mattress for him but, Ricky did such a great job and the price was great for the quality of mattress that we wanted we bought then & there. I was surprised all we had to do was tell him what we were looking for in a mattress and we only tried 2. He didn't try to sale us on the higher priced mattress when my son actually liked the lowered priced one better. We were in & out in less than 30 minutes. Great store and Ricky, the manager, really took the time to make sure that we left with the right mattress for us. He wasn't pushy and let us ask the questions. We thought we had picked out our mattress when he suggested a different style of mattress we hadn't even considered. It ended up being our dream bed. We can't thank him enough because it meant the difference between a good bed and our dream bed. The idea of shopping for a new mattress was so stressful to me that I've put it off for years. But something told us to go to the new Mattress Firm in Wake Forest. So glad we did. Ricky was so helpful and professional, and so human. He answered every question we had. He helped us find a mattress both my husband and myself would like, and while he informed us of higher end mattresses and their qualities, he never pressured us to get more mattress than we could afford. He made sure that we were happy with what we decided on. He also went over the delivery and how they would put it in our room and take our old bed out. I bought a Dreambed Lux LX510 - This mattress was a great price, felt good in the store and the salesperson "Ricky" was wonderful. He spent a great deal of time with me and went over about 8 mattresses with me, never selling me the one he wanted me to buy! Ricky was the reason I bought at this store.
