We went from store to store in the Portland-Beaverton-Tigard area and every place were sold out with a minimum 3 week lead time. We were about to give up until we happened to see an ad on FB marketplace for the couch we wanted! At first we were a little confused if this was an independent seller or an actual furniture shop. We messaged him through FB and he responded almost immediately. Hollywood Rooms is a furniture shop with a show room that is small/medium sized compared to big box stores. Jeff was very friendly, answered all our questions about the furniture, and was very familiar with his inventory. The couch itself was $200 CHEAPER than the big box stores and in stock! We didn't ask him about the warranty info because were were so happy we finally found the couch we wanted, and it was by far the cheapest we've seen them listed for. He offered a curbside delivery for $40, but since we were 10 minutes away, we decided to pick it up ourselves. The couch was still in the manufactures original cardboard boxing, but we just had to cut open the box and put the feet on. Overall we were very happy working with them because they were friendly and responsive. I'm glad we could support a Local business.

After much thought and time, they found me a Sealy Posturepedic they supported my body and still provided the perfect amount of comfort. I worked with both Joe and Emerald on different occasions. They both went above and beyond such as making sure I received proper spine alignment with the mattress and even discussed the health benefits of the power adjustable base I got. I had my bed for six months now and still love it! The mattress protector they sold kept my mattress pristine with no signs of stains, dirt, or dust mites. I even feel my allergies aren't as bad as on my old aged mattress. Also the Cool Tech memory foam pillow kept me cool every night. She said it was the nastiest call she can remember. She didn't even get to tell him that his pricing was also 25% higher for the same furniture. We never promised him the order! In our first interaction more than a year ago we went in shopping for a mattress to put on a child's bunk bed. We were looking for a comfortable, affordable mattress. They didn't try to sell something we couldn't afford, instead we were directed to exactly what we needed. As a result we have returned twice more. The prices were fair, in one case he even found extra savings for us in the form of a manufacturer deal that arrived in the mail while we were there looking around. They let us purchase a mattress, then return it when it wasn't quite the right one for us a couple weeks later, then helped us purchase the perfect mattress. We have been sleeping great ever since! We also purchased a sturdy bed frame, bunk bed foundations and all for great prices. They also offer a more affordable, higher quality mattress protector than we have seen elsewhere. It is nice to visit with someone who knows their products and can offer helpful advice. They have treated us very well as customers and we will be back again.

You've seen the commercials...."... you can now buy high end everything for your home, at a fraction of the cost". Don't believe it. This company is 100% fraud, scam, call it what you like, but please avoid this Direct Buy. All they want is your membership ($5k) and you get zero service. See the internet (rip off reports, 'google' direct buy complaints, scam...) you get the idea, this national franchise is 100% one of the most clever schemes this country of ours has. Canada is investigating them at the federal level, we aren't quite there yet!! For an experiment, go to one of their open houses (get invited from their website) and go under cover. Report back your findings/experience. (I did, it was an interesting 1.5 hours of a cult-like experiment, I will never forget. But hey, I got some Jones Town Koolaide and have the ability to share my story with millions on the internet, including my FTC, Attny General, BBB, etc....because I, as a consumer will not tolerate this!) One of their most infamous lines, "If you don't sign up today, you can never come back, this is a once in a lifetime offer" WHY: because if you leave here, and go on the internet, you will find out we are a fraud unit. What you get (NADA), is the right to shop in a PAPER or on-line catalogue (outdated from the 1990s at best) for furniture, cabinets, anything for your home. Well, the big surprise is...you actually pay more due to most items are scratch and dent, out-dated, discontinued and their outrageous shipping and "handling". Their handling must be pretty special, it's 12% of the items value.... HUGE rip off. ?Is this Legal? So, far they have (via their legal counsel) done very little which is actually illegal. Their contract states, any verbal promises are voided and not held accountable, etc. They can promise you the world, but when you sign their contract you agree to understand that anything they told you during the presentation, they can not be held accoutable-for ANYTHING (price quotes, manufacturers they work with, shipping/handling charges...). If you've had the mis-fortune of attending an open house, you will know what I mean. If you were badgered into buying a membership, for that, I am truly sorry....because you will NEVER recoup your money, not a penny! Get the word out there, be a savvy shopper and write your attorney general, FTC, BBB and protect others. No, I never bought a membership, but have a very good friend who did. I know a couple who have built and sold three custom homes in the last eight years. This couple will be able to eventually build a $1000,000 home at no cost. We are going to use direct buy to remodel our rental house before we sell it and then remodel the home we live in before we sell it. I have no regrets for joining direct buy. Tomorrow I will be buying a $1000 dishwasher for $603, shipping $24, extended warranty is $52.
