When we had made a decision On our choice of dining table and chairs, we met with the salesperson. He spent a good bit of time looking over everything on the computer with us. We got a beautiful set at a good price. We also had delivery and set up. The furniture arrived as expected 2 weeks later and was delivered and all set up for us. great service from start to finish. We have purchased three times from Johnson's Furniture in Newberg. Eric and Scott have been great to work with. Both are very friendly. Scott who we have spent the most time with is quite personable and really goes out of his way to take care of his customers. In our first interaction more than a year ago we went in shopping for a mattress to put on a child's bunk bed. We were looking for a comfortable, affordable mattress. They didn't try to sell something we couldn't afford, instead we were directed to exactly what we needed. As a result we have returned twice more. The prices were fair, in one case he even found extra savings for us in the form of a manufacturer deal that arrived in the mail while we were there looking around. They let us purchase a mattress, then return it when it wasn't quite the right one for us a couple weeks later, then helped us purchase the perfect mattress. We have been sleeping great ever since! We also purchased a sturdy bed frame, bunk bed foundations and all for great prices. They also offer a more affordable, higher quality mattress protector than we have seen elsewhere. It is nice to visit with someone who knows their products and can offer helpful advice. They have treated us very well as customers and we will be back again. read more

When we walked in the salesman was asleep in a recliner. When he woke up, he talked non-stop. Everything we even glanced at, he recited the entire history of how many he'd sold and how popular it is. Do I care how many people own it? No. Tell me about warranty, fabric, deals, delivery, etc. They didnt have what we wanted in styles or quality, and we wont shop here again because the sales guy was weird AF. read more

Hands down the best furniture buying experience EVER. The store is located in a historic building in old Newberg. I like that I was able to browse without being hassled by salespeople -- and when I found something I wanted more information about, Eric and Scott had answers to every question. They were friendly, polite and they know their products well. I found the perfect bedroom set in their showroom. Eric made a copy of the catalog page for me, and wrote the prices down for me..... which, as it turned out, were substantially lower than other furniture retailers were charging for the same bedroom set. I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived early. I was even more pleasantly surprised that they could deliver and set it up the same day. And I was even MORE pleasantly surprised with the care they took to make sure that there was zero damage to my walls or the new furniture (I've had that problem in the past). And (almost) best of all, they took the old furniture off with them, to be delivered to Habitat for Humanity. They made it easy for me to help others! We have purchased from this store in the past and it was fine. However, yesterday we were shopping for coffee and end tables. We decided to order them in the color and shape we selected. The owner, I believe his name is Scott, then said that the price that was on the large sign on the end table was actually a mistake and it would be $200 more per table! We asked him if he would honor the price we see on the table and he said just for one, not both of the end tables we wanted to order. This just felt wrong. It felt to us like we were being tricked although I can understand how a mistake could be made, he should have had the integrity and good customer service to stand behind the clearly posted price! So we left. ALSO, he was not following the Oregon rule that he should be wearing a face mask and he did not keep a 6' distance but kept approaching us closely. He even came right up to my husband and reached out and touched the brochure he was holding! The whole thing was a bad experience and we will not be going back there. read more

First, I bought a couch from them that had no warranty, because the factory was out of business for years' Next is the mattress that went bad. I stopped in today to replace some missing wheels on my bedframe. Even though they didn't sell the wheels, they looked through the backroom and removed a pair from a frame for me. I offered to pay, but was turned down! It's the little things that make a difference and I will think about Johnson's first the next time I need home furnishings! read more
