I'll make this short...I went in to purchase a mattress, upon arriving I was met by an older man, (who I now know as Rich, because I just called the store) who didn't even introduce himself...I told him what set we were interested in, the whole time he was standoffish didn't elaborate on any sales and was not helpful in the least, it's like he just couldn't be bothered. He rushed me through the application process and it wasn't even a second after putting my information in he was like declined. You'll get a letter...he didn't discuss options before, during or after applying or anything? Just ZERO help. The whole interaction was awkward and I never felt so unwelcome in a business. My wife and I had visited several mattress stores looking for a new mattress. When we walked in to the Sherwood BedMart, Rich Kuske greeted us and asked if he could be of service. We kind of knew what we wanted but explained our physical situation with hip and knee replacements. Rich took a lot of time and worked with us. He explained several mattress constructions and showed us several that may work for us specifically. We even took the the test on the computer bed to see if we were close to what we thought we wanted. We felt very comfortable with him and felt that he was not trying to "sell" us but rather wanted to help us get the mattress that was best for us. We purchased a mattress right then and there. I went with my friend to check out mattresses and there were 2 men working in the store. We had gone to a couple other stores before coming here and were appalled by how rude the salesman was. Because we are women in our 20s, I believe that the people working in the store didn't think that we had money or that we were worth their time. The salesman even seemed to chuckle when we thanked them and walked towards the door (who's going to buy a $2000 mattress from a jerk?) We would never go back to this store to purchase or even ask more information about their products. Very disappointing. read more

Overpriced and Matress sides buckled less then 4 yrs old. Stay away. The Matress brand Comfort Creations Turnberry model isn't even listed on the Warranty complaint page. The set was over $1,000.00 and isn't lasting 4 yrs. Unbelievable. read more

Normally I don't post reviews, but I thought this needed a review. We were in need of a queen mattress quickly with everything that is going right now. We stopped at Bed Mart and Rich was there to help. He showed us a variety of mattresses and explained all the different options. His knowledge about mattresses was impressive. Once we found the bed we needed he arraigned for delivery the next day. The delivery team was on-time and very professional. I was out and they asked my wife where it should go. They set-up the bed completely and were very careful going up stairs. If you need a bed I would highly recommend calling Rich at the Sherwood store. We went in with a budget, told him what we were looking for and he hooked it up with a fantastic deal on a serta queen matress and frame. The initial price was well over what we had planned and Rudy was able to point us in the right direction and even got the price to fit perfectly. Horrible experience! One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My fiancé and I were shopping for a new king mattress. We only saw one older guy in the store. He greeted us and that was about all he did. I started asking questions about prices and firmness and he treated me like I was retarded and acted like he it was an inconvenience to help us. We ended up walking out after a couple minutes of being treated poorly by the salesman. Save your money and go a half a mile down to sleep country by the target. They were wonderful and helpful and deserve to have business. I would suggest no one step foot in this location! read more

UPDATE: A man did reach out to my husband, believe his name was Lance? He did apologize for the experience and also gave a refund for the delivery fee. It was not about being refunded but the fact that they actually read the reviews and reach out to their customers, I don't think the man worked at that location but it was very kind of him and we did appreciate that. Worst bed / mattress buying experience EVER!!! I took a day off from work to get a room set up for company we had coming, so I only had one day to do this. I planned to go shopping for the bed and mattress that would work in my room so I could get it all set up that day and not have to worry about anything after. I went into America's Mattress in Sherwood and the salesman helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I explained my objective which was to have everything set up that day since it was the only day I had to do this. I wanted a platform bed with drawers underneath in a color to match the dresser I already had. He did not have the bed I wanted in the color I was looking for set up in the store but there was another bed there in the exact color I wanted and he said he had the bed I wanted in that color in stock (I took in stock to mean in the store). He showed me a picture which did not look like the same color as the bed in the store but he assured me several times that it was the same color as the bed in the store and that the picture just made it look off. NOPE. When I got the bed home to set it up, sure enough it was the wrong color so my initial worries were correct. The salesman also found me a "great deal" on a mattress. He explained it was because it was the floor model and once they start to get just slightly worn from people trying them out they are able to sell them at a huge discount so he showed me a couple he was able to sell because they had started to get a little worn and I picked one. Coincidentally, the suckers who came in after me also bought the same majorly discounted slightly worn mattress (yes, I call them suckers because they were suckered just as I was). Both of these mattresses were brand new. This was obviously a way of selling a cheap POS mattress in a way that made me think I was getting a great deal on a nice mattress. Since I know nothing about mattresses and which are good or which are cheap, I was duped. Every time I sleep on this thing I get bruises on my hips! Yes, I did try it in the store, but that's nothing like sleeping on it. Additionally, after I was all wrung up and got all of the financing complete and was ready to take everything home, the salesman apologetically explained that the stuff was in a warehouse in Beaverton and not only was it there, but they were missing a piece; the footboard; kinda important to have everything set up. I ended up having to 'borrow' a different one in a different color until mine came in. I also was sent to 2 different places to pick all of this up; driving a huge gas guzzling 77 Ford Pickup which I borrowed for the day to do this, I had to drive all over in horrible traffic to get this stuff. I arrived at the second place to pick up the borrowed piece and the guy working there was completely confused and had no idea what I was talking about and did not have the piece so I then was sent back to the warehouse that I had just come from! So after all of this I took everything home and began to set it up, only to find I was missing another major part; the center piece which prevents the whole middle of the bed from breaking! Uhhhg. My roommate ended up having to build a temporary one so that our company would have a place to sleep. I called to tell him it was missing and this inconvenience seemed to be no big deal to the guy who had sold me the bed. It was as if as soon as the sale was made and I was out the door I was no longer his problem. And the pillow he said he was going to comp me for all of my trouble never happened either. Surprise. I am not a complainer and in fact this is the first and only review I have ever left for any business. I usually am a pretty easy going person, but the fact that I had up front explained to this guy that this was my one and only day to get this done and that I was trying to stay in the Sherwood / Tigard area to save fuel and hassle and that I had to have everything set up that day otherwise I would just need to move onto the next place, but he still continued with the sale even after he found out what a royal pain in my ars this would turn out to be, only shows me that he wasn't thinking of providing good customer service, but only making a sale. I should have stopped the whole transaction but was already an hour in so just said screw it at that point. I had to later take the bed apart to take back the borrowed piece and pick up the correct one, and to remove the make shift center piece. Additionally, I now have mismatching pieces of furniture and also the height of the bed I told him I wanted (they had 2 different heights to choose from) was also wrong. I thought I was getting the taller one, but I ended up with the shorter one. Buying a bed should be an easy process but instead I came out of it feeling like I spent the day at a used car lot and I still get pissed every time I drive by that place! Kudos to Chris & Rudy for the excellent service they provided. Chris worked with me on getting the mattress of my dreams within my budget. Plus he didn't try to sell me on a pricey bed set just to make a sell. He was straight out honest and isn't the typical pushy salesman. Rudy searched the warehouse to make sure it was in stock. My back had become so bad that it was affecting work, which thereby affected my attitude about life. I tried a brace, chiropractic adjustment, exercises, all with minimal results. My bed didn't seem like it was too old or worn, but having exhausted all other options I dropped by this Bedmart in Sherwood on my way home from work. The salesman, Rich, really listened to my concerns and gave me a lot of great information that I hadn't considered. He suggested a couple of mattresses to help with my back issue and I pulled the trigger - for a better deal than I had anticipated - and after a few nights of shockingly better sleep my back started feeling better. Within a month I was feeling 10 years younger and my productivity at work was noticed by my co-workers. We were set on buying a sleep number bed, but decided to swing into Bedmart. I had seen the Serta Icomfort beds on television and thought, what the heck..were here, so why not have a look. Rich was the only person working. Not only did he help us he answered many questions. He put a package deal together for us. We still went to Sleep Number, but we just werent that impressed, especially for close to $6000 for the one qe liked best. And so after deliberation, it was a no brainer to come back to Rich. I wish every retail business had an employee that was as good as him. He never pressured us, answered all our questions, and in the end HE WAS OUT DECIDING FACTOR. Customer aervice is key, we own a small family run business and how we treat our customers is how we qould like to be treated. Rich went above and beyond.
