I love my new bed, the Spinal Care "stone" extra firm mattress. I know about how beds are made, and literally went to a dozen stores, including Macy's, JCPenney, Sears, Sit nSleep, and no one had a bed like this. If you need a FIRM, STRONG, HARD mattresses, "flippable", this is the place. Its all about the gauge of the spring, and that its 'flippable'. The lower the number, the thicker the gauge you want, and this had it. When I bought my old Posturepedic, they changed firms from 13 gauge springs to 14 gauge, no-flip, so they fall apart faster. This is actually a 13 gauge, and for not much more money, 'flippable'. Compared to my old Posturepedic, non flip, this is like sleeping on a rock (which I need), and it literally cost less than the Posturepedic (which was their firmest posturepedic) when I bought it 10 years before. This is a product that needs more attention for those looking for the REAL rock-FIRM, thick spring gauge, flippable mattress, that the big name brands, as well as other small stores, don't provide at all anymore, and never will. At an exceptional price as well. Ramin is 'exceptionally' knowledgeable of the bed industry, and is awesome to work with. He is also very aware of back issues too, considering he's an athlete. Needed a twin bed for my visiting dad quickly after several nights of him sleeping on an air mattress and not getting much sleep at all. Highly recommend!!! About six months ago my wife and I decided we needed a new mattress. Our plan had been to stop at two or three different mattress stores. Once we got to The Mattress Stop, however, that plan went out the window. First the store itself is great. It has dozens and dozens of mattresses organized by type and price. Second, and more importantly the owner is amazing. Not only does he have what has accurately been described as an encyclopedic knowledge of the mattresses but he has a warm personality and provides EXCEPTIONAL customer service. He patiently explained and re-explained the features of each mattress, the manufacturing process and how each mattress compared to each other mattress and gave us all the time we wanted to test the dozens of mattresses on display. I knew that first day that we were going to buy our mattress from the Mattress Stop. It took two more visits - in which we met the owner's colleague who was very helpful and the owner's dog who was adorable. When we finally selected our mattress, the owner threw in lots of extras which made it very easy to transition from our old California King to a Standard King. He told us he would make sure he gave us the BEST price and experience. He explained that even though the same mattress is given a different name depending on who sells it, there are places on the internet where you can see which ones are actually the same in order to compare prices. He was very open and very transparent with his pricing. And he delivered, both figuratively and literally. His team arrived on the set date at the scheduled time. They took out our old mattress set, assembled the new set - including our new headboard - and were in and out in no time. Reliable, friendly, courteous and neat. The owner had told us there is a breaking in period of three months while you soften the factory-fresh pillow top by sleeping on it and rotating it every week or so to keep it level. I waited to write this interview until after this period of time had passed to be sure everything worked out okay and it has. My wife and I love our new bed. These days great customer service and reliable products are becoming rare. So knowledgeable in fact, that my husband and I wondered if he wasn't secretly the owner. Leo, the Lion: Ramin has a dog on the premises. A LARGE dog which might be intimidating to some, but I would encourage you to get past any fears of dogs you might have and still go.
