I'll admit I was reluctant to venture into a mattress store because I just needed a simple twin mattress for my son and I wasn't interested in being sold to or pushed to upsell outside my budget. He showed me everything from bargain prices to luxury brands so I could get a feel for what the differences were. My wife and I just moved to Tarzana from Canada. We were looking for a new mattress and bed frame for our master bedroom. We stopped by Mattress Stop to check what they had in store, and we were greeted by Ramin (he's the owner). He was extremely attentive, patient and professional. His guidance and expertise made us feel at ease, and he made sure we were comfortable with our decision. We opted for a Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt split CA King (firm) along with Power Base. For the bed frame, Ramin showed us several models to choose from within our budget. He has a huge selection at your disposal and let you go through all the catalogues. Once we sorted it out, the transaction was smooth and easy and the delivery date was set. Ramin called us days later to keep us updated (delays due to Covid) but he was able to meet his commitment and the delivery occurred as planned. The movers (Andrew and Richard) called us to make sure we were available, and they've delivered, unpacked, installed and took away any packing materials. They were very professional (wearing a mask) and did a fantastic job. It was a bit challenging since the master is located upstairs of the house but they were careful and took the time to set everything properly. Overall, we have nothing but great things to say. Mattress Stop did an outstanding job from start to finish and provided top notch service with great value!!! This place exceeded our expectations. My spouse and I went looking for a new mattress. We checked out two places in the Encino/ Tarzana area, before walking in to The Mattress Shop. We are so happy that we kept looking, not only were the prices much better than the other two, the service Ramin gave us was so top notch, that we left and came back within an hour. At first, we were only going to buy a king sized mattress. Ramin explained the difference between a King and a California King, and due to our specific needs, we went with the California King. We loved the feel of the mattress so much, that we ended up purchasing a queen bed for the guest room at the same time. What we liked about Ramin is that he never tried to upsell us. He is so confident in his products that he never once comes across as a used car salesman. He even threw in mattress pads. Lastly, we ordered a headboard, and after he realized that it would take way too long for us to receive it, he refunded our money, allowed us to order from somewhere else, and once it arrived, he had his delivery gentlemen Richard, and I can't remember the other guy's name (but he was awesome also) come back another day and attach our headboard to the bed. They will beat any competitors or online price assuming they stock that particular model of mattress. **update: the mattress display is very soft compared to what I got; The foam is entirely different. When I checked the foam in the store, it was more like temperpedic type. What I've received was really cheap foam. Also, Ramin had asked me to provide a yelp review to be the 200th reviewer, so I did. He stated that I'd receive a free pillow and mattress cover however, I've yet to receive any of those items. Also, if I check in, I too would receive another pillow. It's been 3 months. Nothing. He provides great customer service but, I'm not happy that I didn't get what I paid for and what I was promised. :( Thank you Ramin for being so great! The salesman, Ramin, couldn't have been more helpful, after our horrible experience at Sit&Sleep in Tarzana, where the salesman couldn't have cared less we were there (Didn't even thank me when I handed him a set of keys I found on the floor under a bed, obviously belonging to someone previously shopping). We had a small order - only needed a frame and box spring. He STILL treated us as if we were buying the most expensive item in the store. THAT is customer service.
