We've been having sleep issues with our 15+ year old mattress. My husband would wake me up every night tossing and turning- it would shake the whole bed. We went to Mattress Warehouse Friday evening and explained the issues we were having to Gulia. She was AMAZING! She helped us pick out the right bed and pillows for our regular sleeping positions and sleep issues. She didn't rush us or pressure us into higher end expensive models. She listened to our needs and answered all of our questions. The financing process was quick and we got our mattress delivered Saturday morning (the next day)! I was initially happy with my shopping experience back in August 2020. Barbara, our salesperson, was knowledgeable and helpful. The bed we bought in August 2020 went on sale a week later and Barbara promised us an adjustment in price of $212 in the form of a credit to our credit card. 7 months later I am still waiting for that credit. Repeated calls to the District Manager did nott resolve the issue nor did and emails sent to corporate headquarters. Please be aware of my experience if you decide to buy your bed here. Ahh, finally a bed that you just want to flop into... I was holding off writing a review until exchange was complete. Back in January we visited Mattress Warehouse in Alexandria VA in search for a new king bed. I found Barbara and Cory to be very knowledgeable, personable and quite funny. We found the Tempur-pedic Luxe-Breeze to be comfy so we purchased along with the adjustable bed frame. To prepare, I had some furniture rearranging to do so they offered William (store muscle) to come over and assist. William and his friend arrived on time and assisted me moving furniture in order to prep for the new bed. Delivery day was easy and professional as well. Unfortunately after trial period we found the bed too hard and wanted to exchange it but because of covid, we had to wait for MW to reopen. Once the store reopened we met with Cory and picked out a replacement. I was expecting exchange process to be a hassle but it wasn't. Actually just the opposite. Cory listened to our complaints about the tempur-pedic and made some excellent suggestions. We ended up choosing the AIRE Capri-Plush and are so happy we did. Within a couple of days the delivery guys came by and swapped it out. Credit from original bed was applied towards the new bed and Cory even threw in two promotional pillows. Shopping for a new bed is something I don't normally look forward to but overall the experience wasn't bad. No pressure and they really worked to get me best price. I overheard Cory speaking with his manager trying to reduce the price which i really appreciated. All in all, i would recommend MW in Alexandria VA if you are shopping for a new bed. We went here based on the raving reviews however, I was a little disappointed. The gentleman was nice and had us do the bed match etc. We tested some mattresses but of course they're the higher priced ones. I told him a lower reasonable budget since we'd like to upgrade to a king in the future once we move, but need to replace the Queen we have now. We were shown a mattress that fit around the budget. Boyfriend liked it and I asked about shipping/delivery or how it works. He told me its $99 for delivery to the house (understandable), we have a truck that it'd fit in so I asked about how pick up works and he said it'd get shipped from the warehouse in MD to the store but its $54.99. I found that to be a tad odd because if it is delivered to the store on their usual Tuesday delivery day and I'm making the drive to pick it up, why would it cost anything? We said alright and I went online and ended up purchasing the mattress online, it's free delivery if we pick up apparently online and a representative called us, set up a local pick up location and it went smoothly. I was also able to use a coupon that saved me $54.99 on top of the sale which is awesome. We are looking forward to picking up the mattress next Tuesday, but I wish sales people would be a tad more honest regarding pricing, we were looking to buy in store but online just worked out better for us. This review is based off customer service. Last year we came and bought three mattresses with Barbara. We decided to come again because we needed a box spring and frame, we were hoping to see Barbara but I believe she was not in the store. There was a gentleman didn't catch his name but every question I or my father had he was sarcastic and rude. I explained him we purchased last year and if he could check (last time we visited during the fall Barbara was able to check) his answer was that that the system changed from a year ago so he was unsure if he would be able to see the mattresses we purchased. Didn't even bother trying to search in the first place, we simply walked off and decided to go to another location. read more

About 2 months ago I was in desperate need to figure out what I could do for my daughter to help give her the next edge in preparing for school...I walked by and saw a huge poster at MW and thought she desperately needed a new bed. The next day I brought my daughter in and we met with Barbara...my intent was just to get her something better than what she had based on my budget. After spending a ton of time talking and have my daughter try about 5 different beds (after the bed match program) we were able to narrow it down to 2. Now I will say that I ended up going with the cheaper of the two BUT in this case cheaper was not the wrong choice. I did go above my price point having also done some independent research on the bed we bought. We had 30 days to potentially return so I asked my daughter everymorning how she rated her choice...she gave the bed 9s and 10s. I went back a month later and let Barbara know the result. At that point I told Barbara I wanted to take the bed to the next level with an adjustable base but again price point was an issue. Barbara was able to show me some gently used floor models that the company was phasing out. But again I was able to hit a home run with her assistance. To be honest I was so impressed with all the help we received I went back and bout 4 additional memory foam type pillows...Yes I went over budget a little bit after 2 months I am no worse for the ware if anybody cares. My daughter has amazing nights of sleep and she is so well rested she wakes up as soon as the first chime of her alarms go off. The money was well worth all of the As she sustaining in an honors heavy course load... I will be back to upgrade my bed as well! read more

The manager Barb provided incredible customer service - she is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. When I had an issue with the comfort of the mattress I purchased, she worked quickly to satisfactorily solve the issue. Buying a new queen set was the objective today. Frankly, I was dreading it. Walked into Mattress Warehouse in the Wegmans Hilltop Shopping Center and was immediately greeted by Ed. He was very low key, no pressure salesman. Knows his stuff inside and out. Most importantly, he listens to his customers. This showroom is vast and full of quality products at all price points. The store utilizes a diagnostic system to narrow down the best choices of mattress for you. You get a printout and then go "test drive" the mattresses on the list. Prices are clearly displayed on each mattress. We bought the first mattress we tested. Ed is extremely knowledgeable about his products and mattress companies. He guides the process without any drama and I got the impression that if he hadn't made a decision he would have been respectful of that inability. I highly recommend this store in general and Ed in particular if you are in the market for new bedding.
