Major delivery issue with Ashley Furniture(Carle place location). I ordered a couch on Black Friday. Only half was delivered. Haven't heard from the manager(Akeim) in months despite multiple requests for him to call me. I did hear from a solutions manager(Marlon) in NJ two weeks ago who tried to help reschedule and they were unable to deliver the piece. We negotiated with the sales manager and were told this is absolutely the best price we can get and that the price of our couch would be never go lower than his price. So we took what we thought was a deal. The couch was delivered and a week later the price dropped by $1500 . We immediately contacted the sales manager and were told nothing he could do about it. Great service, great experience! My boyfriend and I purchased a home recently, so we've been shopping around for a dining set. After looking at a few things online and being disappointed by some oddly textured, fake-looking wood peices at another store nearby, we found a beautiful, real wood set at Ashley and were assisted by Curtis. Curtis is the best! He was super friendly and very helpful. We were toying around with the idea of mixing and matching different chairs with the dining table, and he graciously took us around the store, discussing pros and cons of some of our chair options. He was very honest and helpful in discussing different tones of wood, fabric, leather, etc. In the end, we decided to stick with the matching chairs. While waiting for the paperwork to be printed, he brought us each complimentary coffees. After everything was said and done and we were about to leave, we decided to inquire about an additional bench option. Curtis came back with not only the name and item number, but also measurements and weight and price, simply for our reference. He was so helpful, we decided to just add on the bench, too! :) We would definitely come back and work with Curtis again for any of our future furniture needs! read more

I bought a curio shelf and paid for it on my credit card. When the unit came, it broke on delivery. They told me they don't have another one and I would have to wait a month. After seeing the way it was constructed I said to cancel it. They told me I would get my refund in 48 hours. It's now a week and nobody knows anything. My suggestion is if you buy from this company put it on their financing so you don't have this problem. At this point, I'm still getting the runaround. I wish I can give a better rating because the quality is pretty decent. The issue I have is selling people insurance/Warranty for furniture but the warranty is not really covered ever! They will not replace your damaged sofa, bed, or anything. The technician who came to my home was very nice and was brutally honest with me and said it's 99% chance they will rather have a tech come fix it then replace it. The email I attached here is proof they will never replace or repair anything. Which is sad because after paying over 9k in furniture you will think they will help their customer. the service in the store was very good. it was when I was recovering the set of bedroom furniture that was a horrible experience In the first delivery, the dresser drawers didn't close all the way. I was told by my salesman, not to accept delivery. I called customer service to set up another delivery and told her the problem. The second delivery was just as bad. The drivers wouldn't even bring the dresser up the steps. they noticed the damage right away Again I called customer service. set up another delivery. They promised to be sure the set was I good shape. This next time the drivers wouldn't even take the furniture off the truck, it was so bad. The warehouse told them that furniture was made that way and I should take it whether I like it or not. Then a couple of hours later, I got a threatening call from the warehouse saying I have to take the defective furniture becau that how the manufacturer made it and if I don't I will be charged for any other deliveries I finally was able to speak with a manager who was able to get in touch with the warehouse and make sure the furniture was put together correctly. Joseph was a nice sales guy and the reason why I came back to patronize this store above the others. We had shopped other places but chose this store. The management team is inept and unprofessional. I was offered a 10% discount off of three pieces of furniture by the sales person and had agreed to buy them for that price. I continued to purchase other items. One on clearance, and a mattress. I was also going to be returning to purchase a dining room table with 4 extra chairs. I was also offered additional discounts there. A manager came over when we were finalizing the transaction saying to the salesperson, "I'm your T.O". His name was Paul. He is in dire need of training. I would not recommend using inside business terms with a customer present. It's tacky and doesn't present well. This checking out ordeal must have went on for no less than 30 minutes while my family sat in furniture waiting for it to be completed. There was a flyer that I have that states 10% off on regular priced merchandise which is where I thought the salesperson was offering his discount from. The management team said they couldn't give the 10% off and that they would have to raise the price to a higher price to give that discount. What? Yes, this is what was said. Your pamphlet does not meet advertising guidelines set by the New York states attorney general. The disclaimer font is smaller that the legal size required. I was told the explanation was in there. I could not read it. I will not be returning to the store and plan on writing reviews on yelp and google. I will also be contacting the AG office and be filing a complaint with the BBB. This is certainly not over a discount of $150.00. It's the principle of offering one, having a flyer that's states there is one, and not honoring it. Ads are required to be clear to consumers. When they are not, it's considered deception and are illegal. Sad that your management team is unwilling or unable to handle a small customer service issue and allow it to turn to this. Candice our salesperson told us the sectional we liked wouldn't be delivered until 12/17, so we said no that's not going to work for us. She said hold on let me speak to my manager, comes back to us and said I can have it to you by next Saturday. We call to confirm our delivery since we never heard anything the night before. Poor customer experience and chaotic selling process. Buying furniture here means coming prepared to haggle like in a used car dealership. The sales rep will tell you a discount only to be told that they can not honor the discount. I literally had a coupon for 20%, when presented the sales rep told me that they can only do 15% because the sale order was under $3000. No where on the coupon does it state that there is a minimum spend to avail the coupon. And the weird part is that prices on the Ashley website are comparable to what the sales person will give you. I recommend going into the store only to browse and get a feel for the furniture. If you like something order it online and avoid haggling and knowing you will get ripped off. Fast forward to 5 phones, a visit to the store, texts with the salesman, a call from the manager and customer service -- nothing was done. THE MOVERS AND WAREHOUSE put the wrong piece in the computer that I declined... EVEN THOUGH I SPOKE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE WAREHOUSE ON WHAT PIECE. It took 2 WEEKS to then get that one piece THE WHOLE REASON I BOUGHT THIS SECTIONAL, to arrive at my house. It is now 3 WEEKS since I've spoken with Marlin, apparently a manger (but the lady in the store stated Racquel was the manager???), to get back to me about refunding the one sectional as well as the delivery fee they made me pay $500+ for. Do not waste your time, money, or effort... you will be disappointed & left with a headache. Buyers remorse is real on this one! I wasn't even going to post a review because I feel one bad experience should not ruin a business but based off other reviews, this business sucks. This company messed up in so many ways it is hard to even count. Without going into too much detail, they delivered a broken chair to my parent's house. Customer service was so poor I eventually went to the showroom. Thankfully, the manager their was able to help me get the chair repaired, but the overall experience with the company was a nightmare. Three full days on the phone with them and I was eventually able to schedule a service appointment. We ordered our furniture from our salesman, Jeff Post in December. He was great to deal with, in fact gave us his cell & email address should any issues arise. Boy, did we fall for it! We were told the furniture was in stock & would be delivered within 4 weeks. Well, we are now in the middle of February...and no furniture. Every time I call customer service they give me a date that's 3 weeks out-seems like bs to me! We paid in full for the furniture, donated our living room & moved with no living room furniture thinking our new furniture would be arriving quickly. Customer service gives you a phone number to call the store manager that only brings you back to customer service again. I recommend that you purchase your furniture elsewhere-where they tell you the truth. Update 3/11/2021: We have received both pieces of furniture-as you can see, our living room looks beautiful! I would give Ashley's zero stars if I could! Buyer Beware -- go shopping anywhere else and save yourself the headache and frustration that's too come. I understand there are delays due to COVID, but I don't appreciate being lied to in order to make a sale. We purchased our dining room & bedroom set Labor Day Weekend 2020 and I was told all of our pieces were in stock and being held for us for a month while our home renovation was being completed. Fast forward to the expected delivery date - I had to call to confirm delivery only to find out nothing is in stock & there won't be a delivery!!! It was the first couch as soon as you walk in. We were specifically told it was the best seller. We called today to confirm with the store the name of the couch, like I said, directly in front of the front door and the "best seller". Before my husband finished his sentence, just to CONFIRM the name of the couch, the rep cut him off and said "IDK, IDK IDK. I don't have anyone to help you right now." I called another location and they knew exactly what we were talking about, and gave us all the info we needed. When we called the Staten Island location, we were ready to make the sale. Since the rep who picked up was so nasty, we decided not to go with Ashley and found another furniture store that isn't bothered to help customers by simply COMFIRMING a name of the "best seller" that's the first couch I've worked in retail and never would tell a customer that I can't help them, especially when you as a rep are in the store and could've just walked to see if it was the same couch for a $3,500 minimum sale. Went in knowing what we wanted, purchased it no problem, it was delivered and had no problems. Fast forward a couple of years and cats, kids, means we need a new couch cushion. Well apparently that's possible, but you have to speak to a dozen people. Our warranty is still good, it's not good, call this number, call that number. Nobody seems to have any idea how anything works. We need to call the store to get our receipt because of course we don't still have it and the serial number is too faded to read. Except when you call the store you speak to a customer service call center that can't help you. Speak to manager time? They can't help you either. This place is a joke. Ordered a couch on 5/23 and was guaranteed delivery by 6/24. Three weeks later, didn't hear from anyone and we called our salesperson to find out she no longer worked for the company. Fine, not a big deal. Called customer service and was told we won't be getting our couch until late July. First week of July, we call again and now it's early August. Two weeks later, it's end of August. Another two weeks, it's now early September. These guys will sell their soul to make a sale. They do not care for customer service. I've paid for the couch in full and they happily took my payment. I'll give the salesperson Andrew a bit of credit. He convinced me We should receive the couch in August. Even explained how Ashley's biggest shipment order is expected in August and that we are #3 on the priority list for this couch and he would hate for us to wait all this time for nothing. After stopping in to see if we can find another couch, we texted him and he even told us we would be getting the couch on 8/9 just for it to be delayed until September the week after. I know, all things people in sales are trained to say. Shame on me for keeping an open mind and giving them chance after chance after chance to right THEIR wrong. My advice? Stop selling a product you can't deliver! Stop blaming Everything and everyone and own up to your mistreatment of customers. I've been sitting on a lawn chair for over two months now because your staff made a promise and couldn't deliver. Waiving the delivery fee does not fix the problem. I would gladly pay it and more if the couch showed up at my door tomorrow. I should've listened to my friends to stay away from this hell hole. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I was told by the salesman to call customer service then customer service told me to call the store. Each time was placed on hold for a hours. Today it was delivered. Wow no sleeper. We call and they tell us the sleeper is $300 more. So I said well the one we looked at with the price on it was a sleeper. The person I spoke with said yes it was. Well the sales person never ever said that the sleeper was $300 more although she now claimed she did. But no no she did not. Based on my experience in the last 2 months i can completely agree with the very low reviews for this store. The level of customer service is atrocious and the sales representatives and managers are incompetent to say the least. There was a lack of knowledge of product, bare minimum service and little drive to assist clients. While so many locations are dealing with delays due to COVID Ashley Homestore promises prompt delivery, according to our Salespersons, Kim and Justin. They reassured us that Ashley Homestore was delivering on-time because they have US based home warehouses unlike their competitors. Sadly, it has almost 2 months and there is no ETA for all my items. So much for that promise. I would much rather transparency. It also was disappointing that my first order was incorrect, the second order was missing items which are yet to be delivered and my third order as i mentioned before has no ETA. There is no way to contact the store directly, and each initiated contact I made was met with promises that were never fulfilled, even promises to simply follow-up with a call. I understand, they are the cheaper option(in every sense of the word) when compared to their competitors and yes, you always get what you pay for, but in this day and age, good customer service is the baseline for all companies. I would not recommend visiting this showroom or any other. It might serve them well to take a page from Raymour's book. I'm sorry to read so many negative reviews on this store as my experience was completely different. I had an amazing experience with Ieisha! She greeted me at the door, walked me through the showroom and listened answered all my questions in a friendly and polite manner (and I ask A LOT of questions). If she didn't know something, she asked a fellow worker to confirm. I needed to change my furniture during the process and Iesha was not available at the time I was able to go to the store so she referred me to Tim. Tim was great also! They worked seamlessly together to ensure my happiness. The delivery was great! The delivery men arrived on time and assembled the furniture perfectly. I purchased a couple of counter height stools and took away that day. During assembly we discovered that the hardware kit is missing so many screws and none of the holes for the screws line up. They're intentionally selling products that are damaged or irregular and don't explicitly say what's wrong first. I would avoid. read more

At about 10:55 3/26/22, I walked into your store 11514. I was not greeted by a sales rep. I had to walk over to the sales rep. I chastised her for not walking up to the customer. I told her what I was looking for. She walked over to the Manager's office. He told her I should walk around and someone will find me. I said no, I am an old lady and not wakingaroud. She said she would get me a sales rep,she has a customer. I told her I did not see a customer around. She walked into the customer service room and was talking to a lady. The original sales rep had her hand partially covering her mouth so I could not see nor hear what she was saying. I started for the door.
