They stated they did do an inspection on it but it was clear they did not after it was towed to another shop for diagnosis. The issue was very visible and very clear so for them to have "inspected it", the techs there are backyard technicians or just lazy. The shop that it was towed to was shocked they'd even sell a car with an issue like this especially with them being a Chevrolet dealer. Father is a technician also at a Chevy dealership but happens to be out of state and has been with Chevy for over 10 years and even he had called to explain how it could have gone on the lot with an "inspection" done on it. As is vehicles are sold as is yes but should go through a proper inspection before even being put on the lot to be sold as is. Stay away from this place. I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado from Mauer Auto Group in Anoka, MN on 6/3/2025 as a Certified Preo-own with 4,623 miles. In conjunction with the purchase, the original Factory Warranty Bumper to Bumper warranty was retained to 36,019 miles of 5/03/27 and an extra year preowned warranty was tagged on as a for 12 more months. The sales experience was good as was original prep and delivery process. Soon after getting the truck home, I noticed rust on the running boards was visible at around 7,500 miles. As I had an oil change upcoming, I decided to have it evaluated and fixed/replaced under the warranty at that time. When I arrived for my service, I identified rust to Service associate, the same associate who completed the 172 Point pre-delivery inspection at the time of the sale, indicating the Running Boards Inspected and no issues were noted or service required. The associate indicated that the vehicle was secured from Friendly Chevrolet for sale to me and verify who had installed the running boards and when. After following up multiple times I was told Friendly Chevrolet was non-responsive and therefore, there was nothing Mauer Chevrolet could do for me. I asked the Associate to escalate that decision to the Service Manager, who a week later left me a voice mail reiterating the same information and said that Mauer was not responsible. I then contacted my Sales associate who agreed to escalate to the General Manager on my behalf. After following up multiple times over the next 2 1/2 weeks, I had an unrelated service scheduled, so I spoke to the Sales Associate at that time and he told me the GM concurred, there was no accommodation of any kind forthcoming from Mauer Chevrolet. I am very disappointed with Mauer Chevrolet. To be clear, they were framing their denial of my request for any level of accommodation as not being their responsibility. I would recommend a buyer beware approach to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from Mauer in the future. They may not stand behind the vehicle they sold you or be willing to go the extra miles to find a middle ground to resolve any issues you may encounter. read more

I just visited this dealership this afternoon and worked with Selene. She was great. She took the time to pull the used truck around and a quick test drive. We noted several cosmetic issues such as deep paint scratches, rear bumper damage, deep curb rash on the rims, alignment pulling right (maybe the rims), chip in the windshield, and a broken front grill. The truck was also priced at $35,995 which is higher than most for that year, trim, and milage (not including the issues pointed above). After some discussion, we made a potential offer (a few thousand less than the listed price) as they weren't going to repair/replace any of the issues noted. Selene proceeds to inform her manager of the offer. As they walked towards my wife and I and while she's introducing her manager (i believe he was Jeremy McFarland), he blurts "I'm not here to have a conversation, I'm here to say See Ya!". Just like that, the manager walked back towards the building and we walked away without another word. I've never been so disgusted and disrespected in my life. We drove 45 minutes to see this truck...THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DEALSHIP I HAVE EVER VISTITED thanks for their sales manager. If you're looking for a respectable dealership who will appreciate your time and business, look else where. We were at Walser in Bloomington and even though we didn't find the right truck, they were outstanding from the moment we walked in to when we walked out. So to start, my husband and I had an '08 Chevy Equinox. It was starting to wear down on us so my husband and I went looking for new cars. Us being 20-21 and this being our very first time going to a dealership to get a car ourselves, we hoped for the best. We tried to get a car from here and things seemed to go well until the 12th day of having our new car. The day we signed all the paperwork and traded in our old car, we were told that everything was good to go, so we were given the keys to the new car and we left the lot. We were under the impression that the bank that accepted our car loan had already called my husband's employer and verified his employment, so my husband assumed it was safe to switch jobs because his previous one was becoming a very [mentally] unsafe work environment for him. Little did we know that the bank takes a couple of days to contact employers. WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS AT ALL!!! We got a call on Monday, March 29th, 2021 stating that we have to bring the car back because of my husband "being unemployed" even though he was actively working. Due to us being almost 2 hours away, visiting my family, we opted to bring the car back the next day. My husband had previously spoken to the bank about his employer switch and even told us that everything was good to go, but Mauer Main said otherwise. The 2 locations this fucked up company has, Anoka & Inver Grove Heights, are shitty. My husband's parents, sister, and best friend have had THE SAME EXACT ISSUE with the IGH location and my aunt, who lives in IGH, has heard nothing but horrible things about the company. They took advantage of the fact that we're young and weren't taught what to do and look for when going car shopping at dealerships. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET CARS FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I came here for the first time to get an oil change. Normally, I go to the main motors Chevrolet dealership in Anoka. There, it costs approximately $40 for an oil change and that's with full synthetic. Here, it was $65 after tax. In Anoka, it takes approximately 30 minutes (sometimes 45). At this location, it took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. So I paid nearly 30% more in cost, and it took about twice the amount of time. I do not wish anyone to go through what we went through--all of it was so unnecessary. My fiance' Rob and I had a very negative experience recently with Mauer Main Chevrolet and their sales rep Bob G. regarding servicing of my vehicle after purchase. This experience includes lies, a police report for my previously missing/stolen vehicle, and some VERY poor attitudes and approaches to the provided customer service afterwards that we received from their management, both Josh and Jeremy. I bought a used 2011 Ford Edge SEL through Bob G. at Mauer Main back in Nov 2020. I bought this vehicle because he sold me with the proposal of putting in a custom radio, since the current tech in it was the only thing holding me back. There were many excuses and delays with Bob before the radio was to be installed. Bob dropped off a small-car rental and finally picked up my vehicle on Feb 10, 2021 from my place of work to bring back with him to Mauer Main for a list of services we agreed upon prior. Some of these services were going to be outsourced by his favorite audio guy (contact), and the rest was to be completed at the dealership Mauer Main (his place of employment). Makes sense, right? Bob had my Ford Edge for a MONTH. The reason he got away with all that time was because he started making things free to compensate. In that time-frame, he took back the rental after only two weeks and he told us 11 different dates on when it'd be complete and ready for pick-up. We got sick of the run-around so on March 8, 2021--we went to Mauer Main. Rob spoke with a manager (we learned they knew nothing about this), Rob and the Mgr. called over to the Ford dealership in Roseville where Bob told us it was at for its final service (they had no record of my vehicle ever being there), Bob ignored Rob's calls, so we filed a police report for my missing/stolen vehicle. The next morning, March 9, 2021, Bob finally returned my Ford Edge to the lot at Mauer Main. He sent an email letting us know it was there, it was really uncomfortable for him having to speak with the police, he will no longer be helping us with any service moving forward, told us we were really good people though so he is sending $1,000 via Venmo for any remaining work we wanted, reminded us that he broke his ankle so he's been doing this from home, said he apologizes for everything, he was only trying to help us as a personal favor for us and Mauer Main had nothing to do with his helping, and then he apologized some more. Just quickly addressing that email, when I let Bob G. pick-up my vehicle, I was giving it over to Mauer Main for the servicing/installs/repairs. Not him personally to fill any favors? Bob was a face for the company to me. I bought my SUV through him there, he was using his company-assigned email, his company signature, and he frequently referenced using Mauer Main's loaner cars, their service department, etc to me the whole time. Rob and I finally got my vehicle back on March 10, 2021. Not a single thing Bob had told us, was done to it. He held onto our vehicle for 30 days while providing us with frequent updates. We attempted in more ways than one with management to make this right, and they neglected to do so. The attitude was that they had no knowledge what their employee was doing so it must have all been personal work on the side. The manager also deemed Bob's $1000 Venmo as a appropriate amends to the whole situation when I didn't accept the money. So far, Mauer Main Chevrolet and Bob G. have not made a proper and professional amends. Frankly, everything was a lie and their business practices are unethical and pretty sure illegal in our case? I was completely clear about what I wanted and that I intended to purchase by noon the next day from the dealership with the best price and most helpful salesperson. This didn't seem difficult to me, but Mauer was the only place that couldn't manage to come up with a best price. I did, however, get a 20-minute rant on how Mauer will ALWAYS provide the best price and customer service, but they actually had neither. If I could rate the Body Shop at Main Motors lower than 1 star, I would. My experience has been AWFUL and so are the employees there. They don't communicate at all and don't take any responsibility for promises they make. I had my car towed there to be repaired on 11/3. GM had been on strike, but at that time it was over and they were playing catch up. With that said, the hood to my vehicle was on a backorder with no delivery date in site. They didn't tell me that or that there were other options available. Every week for 4 weeks or so I would call and ask if there was an update. There was none. I finally requested them to order the hood from a 3rd party vendor since that was all we were waiting on. I only found out that was an option because of word of mouth from friends and family. That was on 12/12. They told me on 12/16 that all the parts were painted and all they had to do left was assemble my car and that it would be ready to be picked up on 12/18 or 12/19. My car wasn't done on the 18th or 19th. Then they said it would be done the 20th. It wasn't. I had the day off on 12/23 and went to go see them and my car in person. I spoke with Steve since the new manager Jeff said he didn't know anything about it. They said it could probably be done today, but for sure 12/26. I looked at it myself and my car was pulled up in the middle of their aisle with my hood on a fold out table. It looked as though someone warned them I was coming to talk to them and they were actually never working on it. Today is 12/26 and I spoke with Jeff the new manager. He said the baffles for my car just arrived today so he thinks my car will be done 12/30 or 12/31. Not only did they said all my parts were in 2 weeks prior to this, but they have broke many promised dates that my car would be "done". My husband and I have decided to try to have my insurance move my car to a different body shop. I'm unsure how this is going to end, but I wanted to post this before anyone else goes through something I have went through with them. They have wasted my time. They have lost my trust. I will never bring another car there and I will never buy another car there. They have lost my service forever and I will be retelling my story to other. Every time I take my car in for tire rotation they can never remember to reset the tire sensors. they also repaired a part on my car that was not broken. week later back in for same original issue and they wanted more money to correct the original issue . rather than owning up to their mistake and fixing the issue at no cost (due to the fact I already gave them over 1,000 for the original non fix) they had the nerve to ask for more money. I had a wonderful experience at Main Motor! The staff greeted me when I first entered the building. They are still under construction I believe but so far it's looking great. The sales people treated me very nicely and found me a car that suits my needs. The only con is that they ran out of coffee. Absolute worst dealership I have ever worked with. I brought my 2010 Traverse in to get the timing chain repaired (close to a $3,000 job) and about 60000 miles later, the timing chain again needs to be repaired. After speaking with multiple mechanics, it was agreed that the timing chain should not be going out after only 60000 miles. Main Motors itself admitted that this should not be happening, however, they refused to correct the problem unless we paid for a whole new timing chain repair. read more

After buying it I took it to my mechanic where I found out the right axel seal was faltering. I had a 30 day warranty which they honored and a extended bumper to bumper warranty also. I was told that they could not fix it until it was physically dripping. They call what I had a seep. Even General Motors backed them up. The body shop at Main Motors is horrible. Brought our vehicle in to have a few minor dents repaired from being rear ended and we were told it would take 3 to 4 days to fix. I specifically asked that they make sure all of the parts were in BEFORE we brought the car in. 12 days later they tell me the last part just arrived. They have now had the car for 12 days, and are telling me that it is going to be another 3 before the car is done. Never again will I bring a vehicle to Main Motors in Anoka.
