L-R: Lilikoi Oatmeal, Ginger Spice, Chocolate Chunk Sea Salt - VN
    Vince N.

I have yet to step foot inside their new digs that took over the old Tutti Frutti spot. However, I was gifted a 3-pack sampler of cookies. It would've been nice if the package was labeled properly with its contents. Lilikoi Oatmeal This was my favorite of the trio as it had the best flavor and texture, but not by much. The lilikoi drizzle wasn't overly sweet or pungent like the fresh fruit and complimented the cookie well. A layer of oatmeal lined the bottom of the cookie for a mouthful of oats. Ginger Spice My second favorite cookie but it was too soft - squooshy like a Peep candy, though the flavor was spot-on. Chocolate Chunk Sea Salt Horribly crumbly like an old cookie that sat on the shelf for too long, killed it. OVERALL: Good luck, MCL, but I'm not a fan.

Nice shop but sold out some of my anticipated picks by 1p. Nice that they offer 6pk discount and a punch card. Got a chocolate, chocolate chip, and a lilikoi oatmeal to try. Liked the og cc best. Lilikoi was nice, and oatmeal was nice but just didn't work as a combo for me. Spice in the chocolate one was not my thing.

I've watched Maui Cookie Lab grow over the years from their little cookie trailers at various locations on Maui and now to this brick and mortar spot in Kahului at the old TCBY/Tutti Frutti. They've given the place a lovely facelift with fun splashes of color throughout and even have a great printed social wall that encourages those aesthetic photos for the 'gram. In the past few months I've tasted and experienced their cookies through various avenues whether it was a prepackaged dessert at events, a coworker picking up a box for the team, a very very large order of boxes of mixed cookies for an entire organization, and here at their store. I've found myself loving their cookies more and more and have especially taken a liking to their Chocolate Chunk Sea Salt cookie! Their Likiko'i Oatmeal is also a good choice along with their floral shortbread cookies. If you're wanting to try something a little different, grab a cookie ice cream sundae where they cut up a whole cookie and pair it with ice cream! It is a bit pricey at $4 for one cookie, 3 for $11, or $21 for six so it's definitely a once in a while kinda treat for me. If you want to try a larger variety of flavors, I'd recommend the Mini Cookie Gift Box (12 cookies) for $22. They also do custom orders and worked with my team when we needed hundreds and hundreds of cookies for our staff -- it makes for a great treat at those company parties and events!

White chocolate Mac nut pineapple cookie- delish from airport but pricey!

This is not a review of this shop, just of the cookies as I got the cookie at the Kahului airport. Had the pineapple mac nut white chocolate cookie and it was the bomb! Much more pricey at the airport but it was really good. Next time I'm in Maui will have to try the brick and mortar...

First of all yay for the reserved parking spots in front the store. Finally made it here after seeing all the yummy photos on Instagram. A very cute shop with the smell of fresh cookies as you enter. There's a good assortment of cookies, but not too many where you would be there for hours trying to decide. It's $4 for 1, 3 for $11, & I think 6 for $18. But don't quote me on that last one. The more you buy, the better deal you get. As much as I wanted 6, I went with 3. Got the lilikoi oatmeal, chocolate chip oatmeal with Mac nuts, & caramel toffee. Cookies had a good texture. Littlle crisp on the outside, softer inside. The chocolate chip oatmeal was thicker & softer. There with some salt sprinkled on top which was a nice touch. Very yummy & probably my favorite. The lilikoi was a nice surprise. I'm not a huge lilikoi fan, but it added a nice tartness to the oatmeal. Caramel was good, not too sweet. Being that we live in Kihei, I threw then in the fridge, so the chocolate wouldn't melt. It didn't change the texture, even the next day they were fine. Person behind the counter was very nice & helpful. Definitely need to come back & try more.

Maui Cookie Lab honu sprinkle shortbread cookies.

How sweet it is! Although I haven't tried all of the cookies they offer, I plan to one day! Maui Cookie Lab creates humongous cookies that are fresh, tasty, and make great gifts. They also have itty bitty cookies in case you want something more petite. My favorites are the lilikoi oatmeal and floral shortbread cookies (which you can get in the regular, large cookie size or as a mini 2" size). Their floral cookies are beautiful shortbread cookies topped with dedicate, edible flowers and finished with a citrus glaze. Sure the cookies are a bit pricey, but the big cookies are huge, and a lot of attention goes into each cookie, especially the floral ones that are individually handcrafted. What put Maui Cookie Lab over the top for a 5-star review is the owner Heidi. She really understands the importance of a happy customer, and I was pleasantly surprised at her great customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. She helped me complete a a big cookie order before the holidays and made me a bunch of honu sprinkle cookies that weren't even on their current menu. Mahalo Maui Cookie Lab!

A friend and I dropped by the Maui farmers market on a Saturday morning and this cookie truck was there. We split a coconut mac nut macaroon and lilikoi oatmeal cookie. I thought the latter had more flavor.

This is incredible customer service. Each malasada is large and filling and the fillings are delectable. There are tables nearby, but I usually take them home to enjoy while watching my Dodger games. They are right across the street so I may drive to the lot right next to the truck or just run across the street ! It's a cute, very clean food truck right off the hotel driveway & parking lot with parking stalls right near it in case you buy a bunch to take home. Or have a car full of luggage from your flight to Maui since it's just down the way from OGG airport. Malasadas put donuts to shame!!! ESPECIALLY if you like gooey fillings & toppings. My favorite ones are around Christmas but they have tons of regular fillings. I can never get less than three because I can't pass up my chance to try new ones. They have wonderful staff... especially the manager Sabrina...really know their way around dough and they do not scrimp on the Malasadas itself or the fillings! They ONLY cook just for you... so plan a few minutes wait but they have picnic tables under a tarp right there or you can walk around the other food trucks. But definitely at least take your first bites there while they're hot out of the frier!!! 'Only ONE piece of advice: ... G O. H U N G R Y !!!! ...

I had the peach cobbler warmed up and a la mode, and it was delicious. Crumble toppings on pie are my absolute favorite, that buttery, crumbly goodness you wish would never end. Hubby had the key lime pie a la mode, and it was the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and tart, but not too tart. Both slices came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is the only way to do it. The service was friendly, too. The indoor seating was full, so we sat outside, which turned out to be lovely for people watching and enjoying the fresh air. If you have a sweet tooth and appreciate a proper slice of pie, Maui Pie is worth the trip. Highly recommend, and I'll see you there for more peach cobbler!

ONE OF THE BEST PIES I'VE EVER HAD…read more ** But terrible customer service ** This place would easily be a 5 star if they had more polite people working there. My mom politely asked if they had any sugar-free pies available. The girl at the register stated " you need to ask for those a day in advance". So my mom asked if she could place an order now to pick up one tomorrow. The girl then looked up from the register with an annoyed look on her face and said, verbatim, " does it look like I'm the head baker? I only work the register. You need to leave the store and call us to order". We all looked at each other shocked. That was the most rude response I've heard in a while... like we are supposed to know who specifically ask to order a sugar free pie ... ... just a wild situation for such a fun place with great tasting pies. The good: - blackberry mango was probably my favorite pie - peach cobbler a close second place - loved the mountain berry as well The bad: - the girl working the register - you want a sugar free pie? Make sure to NEVER ask in person. You have to call in. - And they only offer whole pies and not slices for sugar free pies The verdict: - minus 2 stars for the rude girl who yelled at my mom - minus 1 star for only having whole pies and not slices for sugar free pies, even though they only have 3 flavors to choose from... Such a shame to have people like that working at a place that serves such a good product.

We stopped by for breakfast after dropping off a friend at OGG for an early flight as they were one of the few places open at that time. Hubbs chose the special Island Boy and enjoyed the spam, bacon, soft scrambled egg and French toast combo. Very filling. I opted for the fried egg sandwich with 2 eggs, mayo, cheese and tomato on Rye. I was a little disappointed as it didn't have too much taste of rye with soft bread. It definitely needed hot sauce to pep it up. However it was filling and cooked to order. They also do salads and sandwiches and sell coffee and Hawaiian salt too. We will definitely be back for sticky treats again.
