MINI CREAM HORN. There...I just saved you time by ordering your dessert (and save some for me). My friend brought us some in Honolulu, so I had to go there when visiting Maui. Just don't eat it in a place you don't want powdered sugar all ovah da place. Definitely a place to put in your GPS when driving around Maui. Stop by, get the cream horns and coffee or milk and have some right there.

Great bakery offering a a nice breakfast and lunch menu. I love it that you can get noodles or a sandwich in one spot - so typical of Maui! Everything looked very fresh. I grabbed an ice coffee and it was very refreshing. I would totally come back to try the food but I was limited on time and couldn't wait. Please come and create your own adventure.

The cream puff was delicious. The cream inside was sweet. I enjoyed the chocolate side of the cream puff. It was messy to eat due to all the powder sugar.

We stopped by coz the hubs wanted to check this bakery out. The plan was to get pastries but then we left with lunch too! Hubs got the Chow Fun, kid got Tuna Melt with chips, and I got Club House with Caesar's salad (one of the cashier's favorite sandwiches; the other is the BLT). The hubs decided to get a slice of Mac Nut Cream Pie and I couldn't resist getting a crème brûlée. I mean, might as well, right? Chow Fun: At first glance it looked like a small portion for the price, but, it's quite filling! Ends up being perfect portion for one person. The noodles are thick and fresh, the seasoning is simple but tasty, even with only one type of protein (ham). Club House (on focaccia): the bread was thick but because it's fresh it was light. There was ham, crispy thick bacon, juicy tomato, and lettuce, with mayo and mustard I think? Delicious. Caesar salad is what you'd expect. Mac Nut Cream Pie: a lot of Mac nut pieces. Nice chocolaty crust. Sweetness of the custard was just right. Good! Creme brûlée: Rich and thick custard, not eggy. Thin caramel crust. Sweetness is just right. Good! Cashiers were courteous and helpful. We didn't wait long for our food. There are chairs inside for waiting and tables and chairs outside for "dining in". I am curious about the eggnog latte and may return to try it sometime soon. Overall 4.5 stars.

    Dry mein, no sprouts

So in the past, it's been hit or miss with the sandwiches. The last time I ordered a sandwich, I was pretty disappointed. So for today's lunch I decided to try their dry mein. Unlike Maui style dry mein (AKA Sam sato's) which is thicker and usually comes with a sm portion of dashi to dip into, this is more like Oahu's fried noodles. And lucky for me, I love both! The noodles are nice and chewy. Oyster sauce and dashi have soaked into the noodles, which gives it a nice flavor. Not salty at all. It usually comes with ham, bean sprouts, and green onions. But I asked them to omit the sprouts this time. Overall, pretty darn good!

Looking for a scrumptious lunch spot in the heart of Wailuku? Look no further and go to Stillwell's. They serve Breakfast as well and Dinner and is probably one of the few spots on Maui that close late if you're looking for somewhere at night. I got myself a yummy Tuna Melt with Caesar Salad to go! Their breads are baked fresh and mine was on Multigrain bread with slices of tomato inside of their homemade tuna salad mix. I noticed there was a few dill pickles inside for some crunch, a generous portion of mayo (for the extra creaminess) and went perfect with the melted provolone cheese! I wish my Caesar Salad had their homemade croutons on it then I'd rate it a 5/5! They're also known for their homemade desserts! The #1 seller is the Cream Horns! They have regular and mini size. Don't leave Maui without trying it. It's flaky puff pastry with pastry cream oozing out and a dusting of powdered sugar and a crisp chocolate shell is utter perfection! Other go to desserts to try are their Apple Tart, Strawberry Florentine cups, Chantilly Cream Puff, assortment of Cheesecakes (I noticed a Pumpkin Cheesecake) according to the season. They have daily specials and also have salad dressing, croutons, fresh bread, local ground coffee, and cookies inside for purchase if you're wanting to bring something home or if you need a gift!

There is nothing more perfect than freshly baked wheat bread with crispy, thick bacon. Add in lettuce, tomato, and turkey/ham/cheese, you have the perfect club. My husband's corned beef hash and egg breakfast sammie was wonderful too. Add in a hashbrown and voilà the perfect breakfast sandwiched between two slices of perfectly baked bread. Portions are as generous as we remembered and half came back with us. Service is always friendly and efficient. Ambiance is a shaded, cushioned seat in the front of the store.

No luck back in July 2015. However, we were finally able to stop by the award winning, acclaimed Stillwell's Bakery & Cafe in Wailuku (8/29/25). Easy peasy approach from the road entrance to their parking lot. Covered outdoor seating available. Enticing pastry case and other savory menu items. Welcoming and patient customer service. We ordered a box of pecan butter balls and a lemon cheesecake bar. Both were delicious. I gobbled the remaining pecan butter balls before entering the TSA checkpoint at Kahului Airport. They were still in peak form four days later. A worthy detour while in Wailuku!

Inside of breakfast sandwich, lots of bacon

I stopped by here earlier today with my dad for breakfast. We had just arrived on Maui that morning and checked Yelp for a place with breakfast sandwiches when Stillwell's Bakery and Cafe came up. This bakery is located in a strip mall right off of W Kaʻahumanu Ave in Wailuku. The inside looks like what you would expect from a bakery, with display cases filled with baked goods and a place to order coffee. Outside they had about 10 tables for seating. Since I am not normally a breakfast person, I ended up going with the lilikoi cheesecake since it looked good. Meanwhile my father went with a breakfast sandwich with bacon on rye. My cheesecake here ended up being quite good. The cheesecake itself was rich with a nice flavor that was slightly sweet and slightly tangy. Then the lilikoi flavor came through on the finish and lingered nicely. The base was buttery and had some coconut in it, which made for a perfect tropical pairing with the cheesecake. My father's sandwich took about 10 minutes to come out, but it looked good when it was ready and he thought it tasted good as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My cheesecake was quite good and my dad enjoyed his breakfast sandwich as well.

The Chinese Chicken Salad was so good! Def recommend getting the 1/2 size- its still a good amount. The Hapa Boy breakfast is pretty basic, but filling. The sweets were a little too sweet for me and I'd skip the overly-milky matcha latte. Staff is super friendly. A good amount of seating outside. A good spot for groups!

Amazing selection. Very decent priced. Nice staff. Very quaint and small. Smells so good.

Famous for their "Cream Horns" ... OK, place one on my hips... and add a Chantilly Coco Puff, a Lilikoi Cheesecake and a Crème Brûlée. Just passing through, but the 4 of us gladly killed a few minutes here before heading to OGG and polished off four lovely desserts! Happy we stopped by, and sad we're not locals... Everything was delicious and since I'm a baker, I can appreciate every speck of homemade feel and love in everything you do here!

A classic Maui bakery and dare I say, the best cream horns I've ever had. Stillwell's has been a go to institution for my family for as long as I can remember. I was craving for a cream horn the last time I was home and decided to visit. Happy to report the cream horns are just as good as I remember. Flaky pastry with a creamy custard (thats not too sweet!!), covered in velvety chocolate-- you can never go wrong. Also decided to try their cream puff and although it's not my favorite, the chantilly on top was enjoyable. Also got a cheesecake bar, which I thought was also good but I will have tos tick to my cream horns! Service is quick and friendly, you can be in and out in a few minutes. There's also lots of outdoor seating with plenty of shade to enjoy the treats there if you can't wait to eat.

Do they package for inter-island travelers?

They don't pack for travel, but they do sell frozen cream horns for people who travel, or are not eating right away. It's best if you use an insulated bag.

I got the smoked salmon bagel and my boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich, and we both really enjoyed them! We also split the bubble waffle. We ended up eating it cold, but I'd definitely recommend eating it fresh/hot. The real star of the show was the Maui Melt panini I got when I came back a second time. LOVED IT. Easily my favorite thing I've tried here so far. I also got one of their specialty lattes with cold foam and asked for it less sweet. It was delicious! The barista was also super sweet and friendly. I sat inside at one of the corner tables and there was an outlet right next to me to plug in my laptop, plus WiFi, which was really nice since I wanted to get some work done. They also have outdoor seating if you'd rather enjoy the weather. Cute spot, great food and coffee, friendly service, and a good place to hang out or work for a bit. Definitely coming back!

I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
