    Fire chicken mini meal
    Mark B.

What I ordered - Bbq combo plate; Fire chicken mini meal; spam musabi. This was a LOT of food. Came in at $38 for enough to feed two teenagers. What I expect: Big portions. Lots of protein and carbs. Crispy katsu. What I got: Crispy katsu, big portions - lots of protein and carbs. All the meats were tasty and well browned on the grill. Solid Mac salad. Katsu was super crispy and survived the drive home. Chicken was spicy and flavorful. My son DEVOURED the spam musabi. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for big portions, and well prepared simple food, this is a good place to go.

Run, Don't walk to Maui Hawaiian grill!! I rarely door dash food, less than 3-4x a year on a whim I saw this place and HAD to try it! I just had a good feeling and I was right! I ordered the Bbq & Katsu mix with steamed rice and it was delicious. My dasher had a stop on the way to my house (it arrived 30 min after he picked up) and the katsu was still SO crispy!! Nothing was soggy. All of my food was made fresh. I haven't found anything this close to the food I had in Hawaii until now. The Katsu sauce was the best I've ever had. The Mac was delicious, beef was flavorful, bbq chicken was tender and juicy. If this is your first time, I would highly recommend the BBQ & Katsu mix so you can try them all. This is a great addition to the area and kudos to the chef for still giving 100% when I ordered right before close. Thank you!

Aloha to a little piece of Hawaii in Indiana. Maui Hawaiian Grill just had its grand opening and I saw great reviews on Yelp. My husband and I were eager to try out the menu. The front is decorated with colorful posters and lights. We were greeted by a polite clerk. He provided an extra plate so we could share without us even asking. He checked on us to see if our meal was ok. Service was aloha friendly. Food is prepare fresh to order and our order took about ten minutes to prep. We ordered the Island Fire Chicken to share. The meal comes with rice, Mac salad and a generous portion of spicy chicken, onions, broccoli and a bit of cabbage. The chicken was tender and really spicy hot, which we loved. The rice and Mac salad helped temper the heat. The Mac salad took me immediately back to Hawaii. We also shared an order of spring rolls. The outsides were nice and crispy with a cabbage and carrot filling. There were delicious. They only serve bottled water (no tap water). They have a good selection of Hawaiian and Japanese sodas, along with Coke products. There are a handful of tables and booths along with a small bit of counter seating. Hawaiian themed posters decorate the walls. Ordering through the Web site is available or you can order at the kiosk or counter. The menu is on their Web site, but I will also post a photo. Meals are flexible and you can substitute rice out for Mac salad or whatever you want. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. We loved the Maui Hawaiian Grill and will be coming back.

The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly!! everything we ordered: - Hawaiian BBQ mix (our favorite item & a must order) - General Tso's chicken - Sping Rolls (side of 2) - Egg Rolls (side of 2) - Luau Punch - Passion Orange 6

I've been looking for an authentic Hawaiian BBQ restaurant. This is close to what I'm in the hunt for. The service was very friendly and the worker was helpful in suggesting meals. I did like the decorations in having a South Pacific vibe. I would recommend this place.

We ordered the BBQ Chicken and the Island Fire Chicken, and both were spectacular. The meats were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, especially the Island Fire Chicken, which had the ideal kick. Every plate features the classic authentic setup: a generous portion of meat, fresh veggies, a scoop of white rice, and that signature, creamy macaroni salad that ties everything together beautifully. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and we will definitely be returning for more. The store has cute Hawaiian decorations as well. Highly recommend!

The staff, drinks, food, music and overall atmosphere are consistently exceptional. The cocktail menu is fantastic. My personal favorite is the painkiller - a delicious blend of coconut, rum, orange, pineapple, and nutmeg. It's served in a skull glass and tastes absolutely perfect. I also appreciate that they make their noodles in house! Have you ever had a meal you can't stop thinking about? That's exactly how I feel about the shoyu ramen. It features their noodles, truffle zest, pork belly, egg, veggies and chicken in a deeply flavorful broth. Order a side of rice and dip it into the broth and thank me later! Patio seating available.

We came in on a Friday night at 6:30 with no reservation, and had to wait ~5 minutes for a table of two. We were sat at a high top at the bar, which we appreciated. Our server greeted us quickly, and checked in a few times throughout the night. Service was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. I had a hurricane to start off. Packed full of the good stuff, and one was definitely enough for the night. Appropriate price for what you get. This drink is what brought my review from a 2 for the food to a 3 in total. We started off with pork Bao buns. The bun was spongy, but somewhat dry. The pork lacked any sort of flavor, and the sauce on it didn't do much for me. The next part of the meal was the most disappointing for me: the curry chicken wings. Let me tell you- I was excited for these. These lacked any sort of flavor at all, and the only thing saving it was the ranch. The wings had a good crisp, but the sauce was lacking taste. I had the Shoyu ramen for my main. It was a pretty average bowl of ramen, but for the price, I expected more. The pork in it was flavorful, but the chicken in it was odd in my opinion with an unexpected herby flavor. Overall, service was average (but we appreciated getting sat fast), drinks were strong (and saved the meal) and the food was average. Would go if invited by a friend, but probably would not return on my own.

I went there late at night and by looking at the outside there was nothing that really stood out to me, BUT as soon as I stepped in it was a WHOLE vibe! Their tiki bar experience from top to bottom was decked out in tiki figures and every tropical decor you can imagine, it definitely felt like I was walking into a Hawaiian resort. The drinks were so fancy and they came in a fancy glass, tiki mug, or coconut shaped mug which I loved! I ordered the Tambaran Firedancer and I'm so glad I did, it came with a whole fire show and it tasted great. It had the right combination of alcohol and other juices. I also ordered the coconut cream pie and it was good. EDIT: My experience was so great that I came here again the next day and had an even better experience (didn't think they would too off the first one lol) The staff were so friendly and welcoming to me, they really made the night unforgettable! Second night I ordered the Corsair of Umbar and the basket of fries. The fries were amazing and definitely made my list of top five favorite fries!! The drink was good, but I wasn't a fan of the Fernet. Finding a parking space was easy since they have a parking lot, but the parking lot is pretty small.

I mean, it's just braised chicken with veggies, which is tasty, but I miss the Polynesian options they had a year ago... drinks were still excellent, and service was good! We wanted to sit in chairs with backs and when they sat us at a table with stools, we asked and they didn't really offer a solution. There were some highbacked chairs in the corner, but the table between them was small and low to the ground... I wish the waiter had just asked us to wait 15 minutes for someone to leave, but that was not an option, apparently. Leaving the old photos from my visit a year ago, including the old lettuce wraps.

First of all, this is the cutest little spot. They are located right on the strip in Broad Ripple, which is one of my favorite walkable neighborhoods. Every item on the menu sounds good, but I opted for the Birria Ramen and the Birria Empanadas. The young woman working at the register was very kind and helpful. She answered any questions that we had and did the same for the ladies that entered the shop shortly after we'd placed our order. We sat at one of the tables and prepared for what was to come. The ramen ($16) is definitely shareable. I got, roughly, 2.5 servings out of mine. The broth/consommé was a bit fatty/oily, but in the best way possible. It was flavorFUL and the birria was tender and abundant. The fresh onions and cilantro were the perfect final touch. I usually have to add salt and pepper to dishes when I eat out, but everything here was just right. A squeeze of lime did me just fine! The empanadas were also a bit oily. Obviously, they are deep fried, but once you have the addition of the generally oily birria, then you have leakage-level oil. I said all of that to say that they were still delicious and I still ate 2 out of 3 of them. My husband had the third! I can't wait until I'm in the area again to try out more of their delicious menu items.

The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.
