it was time for a "Foodie pit stop" - the name is fitting Yummy Bowl. It would really be hard to mess up the order since I picked all the vegetables, protein, starch for myself and sauces and seasoning. The service is great very attentive. The crab ragoons are homemade and really good. They have a full menu that you can order off of including sushi, salads, and entrées. I just wanted to pick my own ingredients and watch it being cooked on the big round flat top grill. Great value for the service and meal $12.95 for the bowl you fill up and they cook for you. Nice decor and ambience Clean and well kept.

I got the King Kong roll and it was good but the seared salmon was almost too fishy for me and it barely had any chef sauce on it.

It's hard to mess this up when you "make your bowl" yourself. When you walk in there is a foyer with a claw machine for the kids. Immediately in the main restaurant, there is a host stand with the sushi bar to the right. They serve lunch until 3pm Mon-Fri. All day dinner Saturday, Sunday and holidays. There's always plenty of big booths or tables. I have been during different times of the day and never had to wait for a table. You have the option to order sushi, appetizers, etc from the menu or you can order a "make your own" yummy bowl. They give you a bowl that you fill out with your name, table number and the type of rice you want. Next you get in line to place all of your desired veggies, meats, sauces and seasonings. Whatever you can fit in the bowl. I have seen people pile up pretty high. I always have leftovers, they do accommodate allergies if you have any and it's pretty affordable with under $20 per person. The wine is pretty good too. They also have saki and some desserts. You can take home your make your own bowl. You have the option of an "all you can eat bowl" but you cannot take any leftovers home for that selection. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is always friendly. We come here pretty often and don't plan on stopping.

Service was quick and friendly at this location. My husband and I picked both meats and vegetables and sauces for our dishes. I chose combo of teriyaki and garlic sauces for my dish and it was both sweet and savory. We both chose a different Japanese beer and we both loved them. Their restrooms are very clean and stylish here.

The Yummy Bowl was an expected surprise. The food was very good with an overwhelming amount of Asian options on the menu. The restaurant is new... revamped in an older strip mall. I found myself confused during my first visit, but our server, Yuki, was kind and walked us through the menu options for lunch. They specialize in Mongolian style stir fry. They provide you with a bowl that you fill from a buffet of fresh ingredients that include starch, veggies, meats and sauces. Lunch is $11.99 and dinner is $13.99. You fill your bowl and then they fry it on a huge grill. I was a little apprehensive about the raw ingredients on the buffet, so opted for a selection from the menu. I've been craving some good udon so ordered Udon with Beef from the menu. The bowl came out fairly quickly. The beef (steak) was absolutely delicious... tender with a teriyaki sauce and piping hot. The sauce had soaked into the noodles too. It was so good. The portion was huge so I took half of it home. They also make sushi and have lunch features. My husband had a 2-roll lunch portion sushi for $8.99. The sushi comes with soup or salad. The Miso Soup is some of the best that I have tasted. He picked the Spicy Salmon Roll and the Baston Roll. The Baston Roll was a winner with the lettuce providing a crispy freshness. The rolls are on the smaller side, but perfect for lunch. Yuki, our server was attentive, kept water full, checked on us regularly with a big smile. The restaurant is clean with a lot of seating in booths or tables. I saw at least on tv up. The restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking outside. They do have a small selection of beer and wine. I'm giving it 5 stars for great, fresh food and wonderful service. A perfect stop for a quick bite. I'll be back.

Thanks to Katherine A's review I now know of this location. I had thought there were only two but after a Yelp search I have discovered there are at least five around the Indy metro area. This is my third different Yummy Bowl location I've tried so far. The dining room is about the same size as the other locations I've been to in Avon and Greenwood. Okay after doing this four times now I have a couple of suggestions for the readers of this review. Suggestion One is don't fill up your bowl. In my opinion, this food tastes much better eaten on the premises. Leftovers reheated at home just don't taste the same. Suggestion Two: Keep it simple. Stay with a few of your favorites. Don't put everything in your bowl. I think it tastes better when the number of ingredients is less than ten. Today I had only six ingredients plus the rice. I visited my endocrinologist today and he gave me my usual diet lecture about good vs bad foods. So today I tried Yummy Bowl's brown rice. I couldn't really tell any difference from the fried rice. I came here at 2:45 and they weren't crowded at all so service was fast and correct.

Sooo delicious!! Pack on your bowl. There is plenty of room. Good deal for 2 meals. $15 got two servings out of it. Ordered sushi but our server never put it in. Wasn't sure of what spices and sauces to choose but I like spicy so the jalapeños, szechuan sauce, and Thai pepper sauce was a great combo. I loved my meal.

This is one of the newest Yummy Bowls in the Metro area. It can get pretty busy, so be prepared to stand in line to fill your bowl before giving it to the cooks. Otherwise, the food is cooked pretty well and they have a good selection of items on the buffet (and they always keep it filled).

This place is OK. If you like Mongolian grills you will love it. However, it's not really better than other Mongolian grills. I got one make your own bowl. It was very good and you can really load it up with TONS of whatever you want. I also got crab rangoons. They were amazing. The service was really quick. The inside was pretty standard for a strip mall restaurant. This 86th street location is OK. Pretty much only accessible by driving and driving near 86th street can stink sometimes. This place is OK. Does not stand out from its competitors much.

Ready to a memorable experience? That is what you will find at Yummy Bowl! You can choose all of your own fresh ingredients at the bar and watch your food prepared! Everyone I talk to who has been there keeps coming back because of this fun concept! Our waitress was helpful in explaining the concept to us. Keep in mind you will only be able to go through the line once so it is recommended that you pile that bowl high if you want to take home leftovers!

You can stack your food as much as you want just for $15 dollars, and the service here is great, very straightforward.

I had a much better experience at this location and time than I did at the one on Emerson. It's not as busy. They have lunch specials. It's 6.99/lb for lunch and 7.99/lb for dinner. There were only a few families in the restaurant. I was in and out. It was also very clean.

Yummy Bowl is so delicious! They have an entire menu but you can build your own stir fried Mongolian BBQ and they have all you can eat as well! I love food off of a grill, it cooks the vegetables and meat to perfection! I have been twice to this location and I will definitely be back!

I sent it back, but wasn't offered anything else, not even steamed rice. The coconut shrimp was not what I was expecting. It was tempura-battered shrimp with a sweet sauce drizzled over the top, with a few sprinkles of shredded coconut. The shrimp itself was very good. Fresh and hot, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce being drizzled all over it, and adding a few flakes of coconut doesn't make it coconut shrimp.

The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.

I'm not a fan of raw sushi, so I always get the sweet potato roll and/or the stop 11 roll. We ordered DoorDash last night and added the tomago roll and it will be added to my favorites at Sushi Club. The stop 11 roll was all gone before I could snap a picture, but there are pictures uploaded by other users. Note: I do substitute soy wrapper instead of seaweed and I add cream cheese to the tomago and sweet potato rolls. It's $2 extra but well worth it. As far as pricing goes, when you order DoorDash there is a slight up-charge, but it's still fair pricing. We got three rolls for $40 with tip and service fees. Three people ate, so overall not a bad deal. If you want to dine in, they do offer AYCE made to order appetizers and sushi. The restaurant itself is no frills, but it's a good bargain if you can eat a good amount of food. If you don't like something, tell the server and don't just leave it on your plate at the end because you'll be charged extra if you leave a certain number of pieces. If you're a light eater like me and AYCE isn't for you, there is a full menu to order from. If you haven't tried this place, give them a shot!
