    Items off the Buffet...

We went as a family after the celebration of life service for my son's fiancée. Very nice place to eat with amazing bathrooms. Coming from me. That's a compliment. Cuz I hate public bathrooms. AYCE hot pot and Korean bbq at your table. There was much variety and everything was so fresh. You order your meats and some other type ingredients off the iPad at your table and then there are other things you choose off of a buffet. It's all really very good. And the service is attentive and good. There is a lot for parking.

Great service! The restaurant stays open late and servers are quick to replace food and quick to pick up plates for the tables with small table space.

My sister took me to Han's for my first ever Korean BBQ and hot pot experience a few weeks ago for my birthday and I already can't wait to come back!!! It was so fun and I absolutely loved everything we ate. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. We split a bottle of blueberry soju, had a couple rounds of Korean BBQ, and ate sooo many veggies, meat, and fun add-ins to our hot pot. I got the mushroom broth and it was so savory, delicious, and warming for a cold January day. My sister said she always gets the pork broth and I tried a sip hers and really liked it as well. The tables said there was a time limit of 2 hours and I think we were there about an hour and a half to two hours and had plenty of time to eat, drink, and chat. We opted for nothing extra to drink (besides water of course) because we had already planned on going into Saraga afterwards for coffee and treats. Still a perfect amount of time for 2 or more people to eat and drink their fill. All of the staff were very friendly and were constantly going around the restaurant to clear empty dishes, swap out BBQ grills, and refill waters. Our hot pot broths and meats were already waiting for us when we came back from getting our sauces and toppings, too. Such quick service! Wholly recommend stopping in at Han's for a delicious and filling meal the next time you're in Castleton.

Our server Billy did a great job, very attentive, kind, and explained the menu well! It's an elegant space and the presentation of dishes is very luxurious. I like that there are small unlimited portions so you can try a bit of everything. Sides, ban chan, appetizers, sauce, drinks, fruit, and dessert make the experience very worth the price. I'd love to come back soon!

This a surprisingly classey restaurant. Each table is semi private. In the center of each table is a grill and if you wish a hot pot burner The restaurant is done in black oriental and it is a really clean dining room Y The waitstaff brings a computer with pictures and documentation of each thing you can order. I was overwhelmed by all they offer for the $30 charge I I ordered a rib steak, my husband order pork belly, ribs, steak, beef gulgogi, crab, clams, oysters and trotters. They have several service stations , hot, cold, sauces and other sides. j I really liked the pepper chicken friend nuggets that were on the hot bar I could not believe how generous they were. Our Waitress I Kept coming back to offer more food. We had plenty but I saw people eating around us "hoghing@ food. That was ok they could have all they wanted and always get more Our waitstaff was Korean. Very caring and thinking we didn't eat enough. Nice cuts of various kinds, beef, pig, lamb I have a soy allergy and they worked with me to make sure I didn't eat soy. I brought my own. No soy and they were fine with it Would We. Go back, you betcha

5 stars. $35/pp on weekends for hot pot and BBQ and buffet. Even better during weekday lunch. Completely worth every single dollar. Probably the best fried chicken wings in the area. Crispy and flavorful. Hot pot and Bbq might have a slight learning curve. It takes a moment for you to figure it all out, but once you get it - you're golden!! Tip: Your ramen will get mushy if left in the hot pot. Remove them when done or just eat them right away. Mushroom hot pot was fantastic. Chicken was good, but I had to spice it up. It's very salty, too. Just ask for some hot water to thin it out. If you get low on broth, add some hot water and re-season. Or pay $3 for a new pot. Spicy bulgogi wasn't my favorite, but the regular was chef's kiss. Feel free to throw some veggies on the bbq, too. It's not just for proteins. Order on the iPad before you get ready for it. There's a tiny wait for your items. Eat all you care to eat for two hours, then go for a long walk because you will be stuffed! I'm a HUGE fan. Perfect for date night. Perfect for girls night. Maybe a pricey but fun birthday dinner. The drink robot was less excited than I expected, but the experience more than made up for that! Go! Now! You're welcome!

Great Indy find. AYCE Korean BBQ lunch for $20/person. Plentiful selections of beef, chicken and seafood. Even the vegetarian had plenty to choose from. Our group of 8 was immediately situated at 2 PM on a Monday. Beer must be ordered to a server. The other items are ordered on a tablet and delivered quickly for self grilling. There is also a cute robot that delivers the drinks. The Indianapolis food scene has come a long way.

We went to Han Korean Barbecue for a date night and had such a great experience. We both chose the hot pot and Korean BBQ combo, and it was absolutely worth it. Ordering through the iPad was super easy and intuitive. We could select our items upfront and add more later, which made the experience feel relaxed and customizable. The accoutrement bar for dipping sauces was well stocked with lots of great flavors to mix and try. The small buffet area had a nice variety of sides, and the fried chicken was honestly amazing. The fresh veggie and sides section was adorable, displayed on a chic wall that made everything look really fun and elevated. The overall vibe is very cool and modern. Everything is served on gold plates with gold metal chopsticks, there's K-pop music playing throughout, games available for kids, and even a small dessert bar. The meats we chose were fresh, high quality, and tasted great. We also ordered the grape lemon tea and mango lemon tea. Both were delicious, though we were a little surprised by how much pulp they had, but once we got past that, they were really refreshing. The bill was right in line with what we expected, nothing outrageous for the all you can eat experience. Service was polite, attentive, and very helpful when we had questions. Overall, a fun, flavorful, and well-executed spot that we'd definitely come back to for another date night.

HAN Korean BBQ is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant in the greater Indy area! I already have a table reserved for my birthday (next March)! Nothing is better than a restaurant where everyone can share--as you can probably deduce from my Yelp Elite status, I love to try new foods, and HAN is prefect for that! I came with a group of 6, and to maximize the HAN experience, we of course got bbq and hot pot. We each got to choose our own flavor of broth and our own mix-ins from the cooler bars, and we ordered our meats as a group for the bbq. I tried the traditional pork bone broth in my hot pot, which was a great base because it was flavorful without being overpowering. I tried lots of mix-ins, but my #1 favorite was the gyoza. I even went back for seconds! The crab meat was also a crowd pleaser, it was so tender that it melted in my mouth. As much as I loved the hot pot, the real star of the show was the bbq! The meat is top quality, so juicy and lean. My favorites were the short rib and the spicy pork belly. I would eat a whole plate of each of those by myself if I could! We ended the night with some tiramisu cake, which totally surpassed my expectations. It was so chocolaty and bakery quality. Finally, what makes HAN stand out from other Korean bbq restaurants in the area is the staff. Everyone I spoke to was kind, welcoming, and always ready to give suggestions or help us! It was the amazing service that put this whole experience over the top and solidified HAN as my new favorite restaurant!

First experience with hot pot in the Indy area. Han was really nice inside. They had a little robot waitress which was funny. Our waiter was nice but had it not been for my brother to explain the process to us we would've been lost. First you pick your base, then you can use the iPad to order different meats. For veg and noodles, you grab a tray and go to the back refrigerator wall and pick out any and all toppings. There is also a sauce bar where you can mix and make your own sauce. It was a lot of fun! We were a little confused by the broths though. Some of us picked the spicy option - we agree it was spicy but not intolerably so. Some at our table got the mild butter option and it was extremely spicy! We ordered new butter base broths and removed the giant hunk of seasoning that sat at the bottom. I guess that did the trick to decrease the spice.

The menu is straightforward and easy to choose your option. The whole table has to choose the same option (BBQ or hot pot) so discussion might be helpful before the waiter arrives. Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!

There's plenty of seating and service was great. As I looked through the menu the dish that stood out to me was the thịt kho trứng (caramelized pork and egg rice dish). This isn't a dish that is usually in menus. It's a special dish made at home usually reserved for the lunar new year. After living away from family for a year now, this dish felt like a piece of home and comfort. The flavor of the pork egg dish is absolutely delicious. While this dish is typically supposed to be made with pork belly, chef Ricky substitutes it with pork shoulder for a more familiar taste/texture to our Midwestern community. I'm not mad honestly. The meat was so tender and pulls apart easily to eat with the rice which means it was braised long enough. I only ate half of the serving as it feels like a generous serving. I enjoyed that it was paired with slides tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and pickles veggies. The only thing missing was the nước chấm dipping sauce. The chè ba màu three color dessert is also another home away from home dish that instantly brings me back to my mom's house. The pandan jelly, red beans, coconut sauce and mung bean combine together so well and it was definitely a splurge to enjoy something so delicious. Thanks for a cozy, comforting meal. I'll definitely be back again when I'm feeling home sick.

Unfortunately almost everything was disgusting. The shrimp on the stick was enjoyed by her, the egg rolls were gross. Who is eating cold pork that is pink in the middle? like the entire middle was pink! Not a small part of the pork. We noticed mold on the desert and immediately asked for the check. The best thing out of the tasting experience was the pork bon and even that was lukewarm. All in all I would say this place could be good for people who havnt tried Vietnamese food, but for someone to go as far as having egotistical writings on the wall with his name after them....like some kind of phenomenal chef....you at least have to know how to cook pork. Every meat dish was either over seasoned, or undercooked. Our server Ursula was actually the best thing and even made our day. She will make you smile super funny and loved her company. Lastly, one thing I would mention....my gf has serious pet dander allergies....and there was not a single animal in that restaurant, once she tried the pork on the stick...immediately started sneezing, coughing, and had trouble breathing....take with that what you will....(could be using certain meats) long story short we wouldn't come here if you paid us.

One of the reasons I loved it was the traditional charcoal grill, which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. Most places use gas grills, but charcoal really gives the meat that authentic Korean BBQ flavor. Because of my past visits, I came in expecting the same level of food quality and service. However, it seems the restaurant may now be under new ownership because the experience felt very different from what I remembered. Service was noticeably slower, and the food quality was not what I had come to expect from Bando. The bulgogi, galbi, chicken, and marinated pork were all brought out together on one plate. When I asked if I could order just beef, I was told that meats cannot be selected individually. Instead, I could choose three meats that would be served in half portions. We were also told that if any of the meat was not finished, there would be an additional $10 charge per person. Another surprise was that the usual Korean BBQ accompaniments were missing. Typically, all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ includes items like steamed egg and soybean soup, but neither were provided. Lettuce for wraps was also charged separately at $4. It's unfortunate because this used to be one of my go-to Korean BBQ spots. The charcoal grill is still a great feature, but overall, the experience wasn't the same as before. Free parking is available, which at least makes visiting convenient. Sadly, it may be time for me to start looking for a new Korean BBQ restaurant.
