Julie at Maui Roost is simply the best! We had a condo rented months ago with a different company (a nationally know brand), but after we had already arrived on Maui and we're driving to it, that company notified us that the condo was no longer available and they didn't have anything comparable to offer us. A quick internet search led us to Maui Roost and we called them and Julie was able to find us a unit within minutes. The new unit was actually better than what we had originally booked with the other company. She literally saved our two week vacation. We will book with Maui Roost managed units from now on!

I cannot say enough great things about this company !! Julie and Gavin were the absolute sweetest , they provided so much useful information about things to do on my trip to maui ! They are so sweet they left a little goodie bag of shortbread cookies, tea , and coffee!! I've never felt so welcomed before. I thought that was so thoughtful and sweet of them to do , just that little extra something special. Julie was so wonderful to talk to on the phone and so patient with me. I had such a wonderful stress free vacation and Maui Roost was such a great help !! thank you

    Beautifully landscaped property

Our family of four (two teens) stayed over New Years in Wailea. We had a wonderful vacation. Everything was exactly as described and more. Don't hesitate to book, go relax and enjoy!! Mahalo Maui Roost!

Everything about this rental was spectacular. As a host, Julie had the upmost professionalism and provided tons of resources to make our stay comfortable. On a previous trip my wife and I stayed in the Wailea Ekahi village, the location is perfect. The poolside pavilion is terrific if you are traveling with a family or group (or just want to make dinner by the beach or pool). We spent quite a bit of time at the smaller and quieter pools scattered around the property after snorkeling in the mornings. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. Can't wait to visit again!

Lanai view... perfect coffee spot :)

The unit (Kamaole Nalu 103) was exactly as listed and I enjoyed every moment there. This oceanside unit was steps from the sea and a wonderful spot to watch sunset and whale watch. The condo had all of the added touches I wanted and expected. The beds were comfortable and overall aesthetics were lovely. A much needed Hawaiian escape. Julie (Maui Roost) was very helpful in assisting with the process of getting to Maui given the current Covid19 restrictions. She made the process as easy as possible. The cancellation policy if something disastrous came up made me feel reassured. I hope to visit again soon and very much appreciated Julie's help in making my trip wonderful.

Maui Vista 2408 was such an amazing place to stay! We spent a week there and it genuinely started to feel like home. They've done a really good job at providing basic need items in the apartment and there's a grocery store about 3 blocks away where you can stock up for your stay. There are amazing restaurants and food trucks within walking distance and the beach is literally across the street! We spent mornings there and it was never much of a crowd. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely stay at Maui Vista again!

Fabulous building adjacent to another complex with a high end new restaurant. All the amenities. Such lies and misrepresentations. We found nothing of the sort. And what view there was had filth caked on the windows. The unit was small. The bedroom had a slit of windows up near the ceiling facing the common hallway so as you are in the bedroom you hear everyone walking by. And the list goes on. We stayed 30 minutes and then booked our vacation at a beautiful hotel in Wailea getting the last room available. Complained to CB Vacation Rentals and was blown off multiple times. Jeremiah, Manager, was a joke! So we have now filed formal complaints with multiple jurisdictions and have demanded a full refund from VRBO and CB Rentals. Consumer misrepresentation is a crime and we will not sit back and be victimized by either party. If you see CB Vacation Rentals as a host - RUN away as fast as your feet will carry you. We are seasoned global travelers and have never experienced anything remotely like this. And we travel 1/2 the year to remote places where even in remote Patagonia, India, Mongolia, the Mekong...have never experienced such lies.

I appreciated the heads up. The issue was resolved to completion. We were offered another location and was able to view the property. We decided to stay since our entire family was at The Palms. CB Island vacations followed up many times via email and phone calls. I was very happy with the notifications and their attention to make sure we were satisfied. I did see the other 1-star reviews, however, they are older dates. Maybe management has changed. I was very pleased. We are reserving vacation condo with CB Island vacations again next year.

Great helpful friendly staff, lovely grounds, incredible views, choose the exact unit you want to rent, family friendly yet quiet enough for seniors/couples. My son and I were still in the pool on July 6th or 7th at ~8:20pm. I wasn't paying attention to the time. We were on vacation having a good time. Well I later realized the pool closes at 8pm and I genuinely hadn't noticed the posted sign. An employee (an elderly haole man) came outside and yelled "GET OUT OF THE POOL!!" to which I immediately replied, "OK I'm sorry sir, we are getting out, my apologies I wasn't aware of the time" and we IMMEDIATELY started leaving the pool. Despite that, he continued yelling "GET OUT OF THE POOL!!" I am not kidding he yelled at the top of his lungs at least 5x more times. To the point that I responded that we were already getting out and had apologized, and that repeating it was unnecessary. His response was, "Well, you guys don't know how to read the sign, so you clearly need to be told several times." Wow. I completely understand the pool has posted hours and have no issue being asked to leave once I realized it was closed. That part was my mistake. What was disappointing was the way my 11 year old son and I were treated after we immediately complied. There was no reason to repeatedly yell at us or make disrespectful comments. Guests deserve to be treated with courtesy, even when they've made an honest mistake. I hope management addresses how guests are spoken to, because this interaction left a very negative impression. As a suggestion, it might help to automatically turn the pool lights off (if this happened we would have left immediately) and/or disable the gate keypad when the pool closes. We honestly didn't realize the posted hours and those changes would make it much more obvious that the pool was closed while also preventing situations like this. Because of this my family and I will never stay here again. There are plenty of other options just as good or better on Maui. TLDR: The pool closes at 8pm! If in the pool after be prepared to get yelled at by the staff repeatedly with disrespectful comments made to you and your children.

We are now being forced to pursue legal endeavors, as they refused to refund our stay. When we arrived the sewage was piled up in the streets 10 feet high, sewage strewn all down the driveway. Additional flood warnings were active the morning we arrived and the place was not safe. All of their properties in the South Kehei region, are in what the state has labeled major flood zones. This area floods regularly, however during the Kona Low Storms of March 2026, local papers labeling this a once in 100 years flood, this company did not flag this as a hazardous event. They also refused to provide a letter that we could use to submit for insurance, even after telling us in writing that they would. Subject: Formal Demand for Refund - Reservation March 17-25, 2026 To Whom It May Concern at Maui Rentals, I am writing to formally request a full refund of $4,505.11 in connection with my reservation for March 17-25, 2026, which I was compelled to cancel due to the severe weather conditions caused by the Kona storm affecting Maui during that period. I. BACKGROUN I purchased travel insurance through Red Sky Travel Insurance in connection with this reservation. When I filed a claim for my prepaid, nonrefundable costs, Red Sky denied coverage in part by citing representations from Maui Rentals that the rental unit was available and habitable. I am contacting you directly because I believe that characterization, even if technically accurate in a structural sense, does not reflect the totality of conditions on the ground -- and because I believe we can resolve this matter without further escalation. II. BASIS FOR REFUND The Kona storm caused documented, widespread disruption to Maui's infrastructure, transportation systems, and public safety during the exact dates of my reservation. Travel to and use of the destination was not reasonable or practicable for any prudent traveler during this period, regardless of whether a mandatory evacuation order was formally issued. I sustained a verified financial loss of $4,505.11 in prepaid, nonrefundable expenses. I am not seeking anything beyond what I paid. I am not alleging bad faith on the part of Maui Rentals. I am asking that you review the circumstances and extend a good-faith refund consistent with the extraordinary nature of this weather event and the reasonable expectations of your guests. III. REQUESTED RELIEF AND TIMELINE I respectfully request a full refund of $4,505.11 within ten (10) business days of receipt of this letter. If this matter cannot be resolved directly, I will have no choice but to pursue all available remedies. I am hopeful that Maui Rentals shares that preference.
