We wanted to love this place. The condo itself was perfect, and a great size for my family of 4. The location is great, and the view is spectacular. However here was our experience. On the day before our departure we were out of the condo all day. When we arrived back around 6pm we noticed that a staff member had entered the condo without our knowledge or prior permission. Thwy left a welcome basket for the next arriving guest, complete with a welcome note to them. Since we were out, we don't know how long they spent in there, what else they did, or what rooms they entered, which is a terrible thought. I immediately messaged Maui Roost and got no reply. I sent a follow up note the next morning, and now several days later have still heard nothing from them. We were also not given a parking permit until a day after check-in and were not given the code to the pool read more

We have stayed 3- times at Menehune and twice in unit 411 which by far has been the best Condo. The bed is very comfortable with quality Linens, everything you could possibly need Cooler, Beach Bags, Beach Chairs, Water Toys, Sand Toys, Iron, Blow Dryer, Curling Iron, Kitchen is fully stock with everything you might need, Electric Sofa, It's Clean, It's perfectly located in Kihei, Great Communication! We had a condo rented months ago with a different company (a nationally know brand), but after we had already arrived on Maui and we're driving to it, that company notified us that the condo was no longer available and they didn't have anything comparable to offer us. The new unit was actually better than what we had originally booked with the other company. She literally saved our two week vacation. Wailea Ekahi 45C - Very comfortable condo. Very clean, up to date. Wonderful patio. Some street noise but minimal and did not interrupt sleep. Maui Roost, meaning Julie, was wonderful to work with. Accommodating, responsive and genuine. Quiet pool near unit. Access to a 2 mile walkway from beach was a nice way to start each day. Very nice main pool and clubhouse. read more

Everything about this rental was spectacular. As a host, Julie had the upmost professionalism and provided tons of resources to make our stay comfortable. On a previous trip my wife and I stayed in the Wailea Ekahi village, the location is perfect. The poolside pavilion is terrific if you are traveling with a family or group (or just want to make dinner by the beach or pool). We spent quite a bit of time at the smaller and quieter pools scattered around the property after snorkeling in the mornings. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. Unit 501 We arrived at the condo at 3:53 carrying groceries and luggage to find two people inside who didn't introduce themselves but greeted us with "You can't enter until 4PM!" After a long flight it wasn't the welcome we were expecting. That night we noticed the refrigerator wasn't keeping cool and we found it had been turned all the way down. We put it all the way up and by next morning it was working. The unit was tired looking with windows that worked poorly, and loud noises from the parking lot below at night and every morning. It was poorly stocked with one wine glass, inadequate utensils, pans that were so worn out they couldn't be used without food sticking to them, only 4 beach towels and no extra linens. A pillow case had a large hole. We have rented condos in Hawaii 5 times and never had such a disappointing accommodation and management. read more

The unit (Kamaole Nalu 103) was exactly as listed and I enjoyed every moment there. This oceanside unit was steps from the sea and a wonderful spot to watch sunset and whale watch. The condo had all of the added touches I wanted and expected. The beds were comfortable and overall aesthetics were lovely. A much needed Hawaiian escape. Julie (Maui Roost) was very helpful in assisting with the process of getting to Maui given the current Covid19 restrictions. She made the process as easy as possible. The cancellation policy if something disastrous came up made me feel reassured. I hope to visit again soon and very much appreciated Julie's help in making my trip wonderful. read more

I would have given 5 stars except for two reasons. Our stay was for 22 days (in February), the pool was very cold the entire time. No guest ever used the pool. The ocean temperature was much warmer than the pool. Second, our unit wasn't terrible but it could have been cleaner. The unit was a little dated but nicely stocked with everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus for us. The bed was too soft for our liking but that's just an opinion. Also there's a tree by the entry door and at 6pm and 5am the birds are CRAZY loud! We got use to it and actually laughed about it. The location and the views off the lanai are AMAZING! We watched whales from the lanai and slept listening to the waves. The condo grounds were very clean and well cared for. There's even a hose available to wash a car on the condo property. I used it to clean the car before going to Mamma's Fish House. Communication with Maui Roost was excellent, easy check in and check out. Plenty of helpful information about the area from Maui Roost via email before visiting. Maui Vista 2408 was such an amazing place to stay! We spent a week there and it genuinely started to feel like home. They've done a really good job at providing basic need items in the apartment and there's a grocery store about 3 blocks away where you can stock up for your stay. There are amazing restaurants and food trucks within walking distance and the beach is literally across the street! We spent mornings there and it was never much of a crowd. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely stay at Maui Vista again! read more

Unit 411: Adequate accommodations, but disappointing overall. Management left a small box of Swedish (not Hawaiian) cookies that cost $1.49. Almost nothing about this unit presented a Hawaiian expression. It could have been in Chicago, but for the view from the balcony. The unit is very dated back to the 80s-90s and could use a facelift. The dishwasher leaked all over the floor. The kitchen had no basic essentials like foil, baggies, cooking spray or ketchup packages. The bed was old and was disguised with a topper which slid around like a waterbed. No beach towels other than very thin microfiber "towels" not made from terrycloth. No place to store luggage. Drawers on dresser opened on their own and wouldn't stay shut. Closets filled with beach equipment didn't leave much room for guest clothing. A storage unit on the balcony would resolve this issue. Overall, not very clean, especially in light of the cleaning fees charged. Artificial flower arrangement and ceiling fans were dusty and disgusting. "Shag" carpet probably hid things that we couldn't see. Sporadic loud motor noises came out of the washer/dryer area without warning. We rented another unit in this complex that was far cleaner, updated and superior drawing us back to Menhune Shores. Wouldn't recommend this unit in its current state. read more
