Wow what can i say, or where can i start to say the least…read more I am a very reasonable individual when it comes to working in retail and customer service industry. It was very clear that i was not welcome in this location to say the least. As I was shopping I notice a item that didn't have a price tag listed on it (mind you there was several items that didn't show price tag easy visible on it). As I stop NIYA which was the of the shift manager. I politely attempted to stop her saying excuse me several times - she then finally turned around in a very annoyances way saying what.. I was totally shock at her response I kinda chuckled a bit because it was relatable, again I get it we get busy at work at times and it's get hard I totally understand that. I proceeded to inform her that there a missing price tag on a item and there was no more of that exact item left that shows the price. She told me that front desk will be able to locate it in the system.. As I then walked to the front to finished up shopping I and several other customers head her (NIYA) say " I guess I can go do some more work". Again I was totally shocked. To be a manager and display these kinda actions on the work floor amongst customer was a EXTREMELY unprofessional & isn't leadership actions. The LAST STRAW: As I make may way to the checkout. I was greeted by the cashier, I explained what NIYA the manager told me the regarding the missing tag on a item. She search the system and found the price as I was fixing to agree on the price we both notice the item was damage. The cashier offer a discount. She called her manager, NIYA, to approve authorization to discount the damage item. she. As (NIYA) made her way to the cashier checkout NIYA replied with the a no. It wasn't so much what she said, it was how she said it and her tone and actions behind it. When she said no in a degrading tone I was taking back by her action that I was left with nothing to say. again I was once again shocked at her actions. it was as if she was annoyed or even worst disgusted - by me. I decided to not respond by her negative action Instead I swiped my card and left. When i purchased the items I left put thing in my vehicle. Got in the car and sat for a bit and started think about what just happened for a second. That experience wasn't good, it didn't feel good or Pleasent. I'm spending money I've worked extremely hard to get and to be treated like less of a person in a establishment like this was horrible. I RETURNED EVERY*THING! I wasn't going to be putting my money into a business that had a shift manager that treated customers like me less of a person. Again I am a very understanding individual, I try to under one's situation to the extreme. However I couldn't explain what just happened w/situation. Granted I get it she probably was over working, it could've been a very busy day. However, the treatment I experienced was and couldn't be explained. The store has a warehouse look, but it's organized & clean! The only area that wasn't organized was the area one of the workers were cleaning :) Most of the dresses I seen were $29.99, I felt like the person ordering things for the store could be my long lost sister or brother! I don't know if they are anywhere besides Texas and Louisiana but those are the places I lived when I used to shop at these stores. Since I moved to New York I haven't seen one. I got a blouse, two cardigans, and a dress all for about $100! That's a hell of a deal! Mama loves her some CATO!! The sales clerks were super friendly and made small talk with me as they rang me up. I have been to one of them there though. While visiting in Killeen, I stopped at this one. This store was well lit. The merchandise was laid out and presented well. A lot of cute clothes here at decent prices. I also love their accessories as they bring out an outfit even more. The staff was friendly and not hoovering over me as I shopped. The stores pretty much look the same. The plus sizes on one side and the regular sizes on the other. Shoes, purses, and accessories in the back near the dressing rooms. I did not go into the dressing room this time around, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I liked this store just as I have liked the others I have visited through the years. When in the area again and the shopping bug catches me, I won't hesitate to come back.

Even though there was a lot of traffic at the Ross I worked at, and I worked at night, for the most part, in the day time, the Ross I worked at was well put together and wasn't as messy as this one. Granted, there wasn't much on the racks for clothes and such, it was still a huge mess. Especially, the clearance sections and the home good isles. I noticed it didn't seem like they had a lot of workers out in the day time neither hence why it was probably messy as well but either way. More workers started showing up once the line got super long, they had everyone "man," the registers. Again, I've been told that business' in this area isn't always the best due to the area being impoverished. I guess, that could be the case and I find that a little infuriating because I feel that it's very stereotypical. The lines are long and the service isn't always the greatest but it's retail and for me, that's expected (a wait, sometimes bad service). I have experienced better but maybe I was here on a bad day. Definitely, going to try again. I will say, the DD's right next to this Ross is really nice. Maybe they just need more workers at the Ross?
