I was drawn in by a cute navy blue shirt with white anchors on display, but was quickly overwhelmed. The anchor shirt had a lace inlay across the back shoulder area that was almost a southwestern print that for me took away from the piece, and was a mild example of their clothes going overboard. The best (aka worst) thing I saw was a white and blue striped sweatshirt with the word DREAM in all caps across the back...in red sequins. The sweatshirt wasn't too bad in and of itself, but that ridiculous sequined message deemed it unwearable. I wish I'd have snapped a photo. Maybe okay for teens who are comfortable wearing "can't even" and "#latergram" emblazoned across their bodies, but I can't take much of anything in this shop seriously as an adult.

Everyone has bad days now and then, though, so I won't hold it against her. The other two were very sweet. My optimism disappeared pretty quickly when I found the men's section was the size of a medium walk-in closet. I know that guys buy less than girls, but the overall shrimpiness of the section was shocking to me. On the bright side, it did not take very long to see that there wasn't anything that I wanted to buy and was able to move on pretty quickly. Yet during that time, not one employee said a word to me, even as a new employee was being trained at the cash registers...

I checked the website when I got home and they do have one color available, so fingers crossed as the weather warms they'll expand their offering. There is a large women's clothing selection (almost the whole store), but the men's selection is very limited. Some of them were placed too high up to reach, and only after we had looked at a few did we notice a small sign taped to one of the mannequin heads saying not to touch them without staff assistance. This wasn't obvious when we first walked by, so it was a little confusing. Later, while checking out some decorative headbands, I tried to take one down to look at it more closely. A staff member came over and asked if I was going to a party. When I explained I just wanted to try it on, she firmly told us not to touch items unless we were planning to buy. My friend joined me, and the staff member continued to tell us we were handling things wrong. It felt awkward because we hadn't noticed any clear signs in that section before, but after she pointed it out we saw similar wording posted elsewhere in the store. Overall, the store itself is very unique and worth seeing, but I don't think it's very teen-friendly. The policies and signage could be more clearly displayed and consistent throughout the store to prevent misunderstandings. If you go, I recommend bringing an older person along, and definitely take a full walk around to read all the posted rules before touching anything.

Staff was very helpful and nice, and we both found a bunch of stuff! Their prices are very affordable: I got three dresses, a skirt, and a top for sixty bucks! You can't beat it. They also do consignment for items that suit their needs. Definitely worth a visit!

We spent close to 10 minutes wandering around and not once were we greeted or acknowledged, and we actually needed help. Finding someone was a bit tough too. The store is always well stocked, clean and in good condition. No issues there. Pricing is standard for a Macy's. Not a lot of discounts or sales on the major brands. Overall, it's a Macy's. There for when the need arises. This location is a solid 2.5 for me.

I think it's important to note that when you go in here, you're not gonna find really cheap prices. The prices are still up there. They're just a little bit less than you will find in the actually Nordstrom store and/or Nordstrom online. For me, the main reason I like Nordstrom Rack is their selection of shoes. They have a really big selection of shoes, particularly tennis shoes. They truly have a large amount of all of the name brands. And again, at semi discounted price prices. They're not cheap, but they are below what you would have to pay at the regular Nordstrom stores or most other sporting goods retailers. In terms of clothing, they have a lot of it. They have both a large selection of men and women's clothing. It's truly a vast amount. I don't usually find clothes that catch my eye at this store, but my wife always seems to find something. So, that may let you know of the mindset of the people who shop here. For men, they have a nice selection of suits, sport coats, slacks, and dress shirts. But, they're not exceptionally good deals. Personally, I prefer to go into a shop that is more devoted to those things when I buy such items. For my wife, however, she commonly finds nice dresses, tops, and also, shoes. She too, is a big fan of their shoe department. The one thing I will say is that if you want to get a nice pair of Doc Martens, this is a great place to buy them. They seem to discount Doc Martin's more than they do their other name brand shoes. This is just something to think about. Overall, if you want some high-end clothing, and/or shoes, and/or jewelry, and/or a little bit of anything else that Norstrom offers, this is a good place to purchase it.

Someone else took the socks while I was in the room. Next, I wanted some cologne. Took awhile to find someone to open the lock box where they keep it, and they looked at me like I wasn't making sense when I asked for cologne. When I tried to carry it up to go check out, they snatched it out of my hand and carried it straight to the register. Just a bit odd to treat paying customers like they're expecting you to rob them. It will probably make me stick to ordering from the online store in the future.
