After 10 sessions, my back pain was completely gone and they'd given me a list of stretching exercises that I have done twice a day every day since then. I went back to Physical Therapyworks a few weeks ago. I'm 65 now and my lower back aches every morning when I get up. I was afraid this would be my permanent condition. But Michelle diagnosed me and showed me new stretches I needed to add to my daily routine. Then I had 10 sessions with Brit, who made sure I was doing the stretches correctly and getting to the right muscle groups. 6 weeks later, my back pain is gone and I feel like myself again. I decided to go to multiple physical therapists for the next 1.5 years and it never was getting better. I decided to go to Dr. Steve in May 2022 and I can honestly say he's the best physical therapist I've ever been to (I've been to many over the last ten years for my shoulder). Instead of just giving you band work like most other physical therapists, Steve gave a ton of different exercises that were able to strengthen my shoulder, improve my posture, and eventually get my shoulder to the best it's ever been in my life. In my personal experience, I feel like most physical therapists get your shoulder to the point it doesn't hurt in everyday life, but Steve is able to get my shoulder to the point I can workout and lift heavy weight again. My shoulder was in great shape after seeing Steve for a few months, but I continued going to him for the next year for other miscellaneous aches / pains like lower back and hip issues. Unfortunately, I'm moving from LA and don't know the next time I'll be back, but whenever another injury pops up, I'd rather pay the money for the flight to LA and see Steve than find another physical therapist. Would recommend Steve to anyone with literally any pains or aches in their body!

I went to several doctors, got cortizone injections and the doctors and injections were unpleasant experiences to say the least. This was the place that saved my ass. Brooke is incredible and really helped me recover from the injury. I also saw Merideth several times when Brooke was away, she was also fantastic. When someone loves what they do and truly wants to help it makes a huge difference. I also had some massages from Moon which were extremely beneficial. My PT seemed good at first and after awhile he just phoned it in. They alternate between many patients and left me alone for periods of time. I felt like most of the time the PT just wanted to leave me in the Normatec boots and move on. Because the size was way too large for me it was actually quite uncomfortable. I've unfortunately had to go to PT's six different times for various reasons and this experience was definitely the least personal attention. Overall it was ok but I wouldn't go back.

However,…read moreI was fortunate to end up in the wonderful hands of Marisa Neumann, DPT, who properly diagnosed it as an old right sacroiliac joint issue that had been caused many years earlier from a ballet injury. This resulted in my having to wear a boot for six weeks for a fractured toe, which, at the time, had a heel on it. This threw out my pelvis causing the sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pain. Marisa's careful treatment, including manipulations, stretching and strengthening exercises, and the pilotes reformer has resulted in a significant reduction of pain that I thought I would just have to live with, as well as an overall sense of increasing strength and well-being. Marisa's high intelligence, careful listening, kindness and sensitivity to one's state of mind as well as one's body, always leaves me feeling hopeful and in a great mood!
