Pilot Tyler was great! But unfortunately ride was with other people (which is was never mentioned while booking). I quote "The setting wasn't base on weight" ride with two minors (+ they were taking/arguing the whole tour, a bit of annoying) and one tall guy at front. So they go at the front, unable to see anything during the whole ride. 10-12 min looking at someone's head just because... as per my last ride in helicopter, setting SHOULD BE assigned by weight not by age. Before you get assigned, ask to ppl at desk who you are riding with, otherwise you might end up looking at someone else's head instead of Las Vegas.

The beginning of my birthday weekend in Vegas, started off with a surprise helicopter ride around the city with my girlfriend. Once we arrived at Mavericks we went inside and checked in at the front desk. The staff while getting us set had us get on their scales with everything we were going to be carrying. So that the helicopters could have a proper accounted total weight, to get carried on our specific helicopters. Being in the military we'd have to do this with military aircraft like cargo planes but not ever with military helicopters; but it makes sense. We waited maybe 20 minutes or so, before our group was called to meet up with our pilot who confirmed we w were all there. And once gathered we escorted out to our helicopter where we were asked not to take personal pictures. While I get it as the business wants to make money off of selling pictures at the end of the trip. Some people adhere to the rules, while I saw others still taking pictures, which naturally would want you to take your own as well. But we didn't to not cause any issues, and possibly be removed from the flight; but ultimatnothing happend to those who did take their own photos. Our pilot when over the rules for safety when boarding the helicopter and how to buckle ourselves in, and he chose particular people to sit up front (this will be importantly later). And eventually we were off, and in flight around the Vegas strip and surrounding area. The overall flight was pretty cool, and lasted maybe 15 minutes and then we were back at the Tarmac/flight line. Before leaving our helicopter pilot mentioned it was the man or woman's birthday who was siting up front, and said happy birthday to them. And once off the helicopter, we each as individual couple took our personal photos which we would eventually be able to look at in the souvenir area. Once inside various groups in in the photos area, eother buying their individual image, and or looking through their on the display and deciding on what souvenirs version they wanted or if they wanted their images at all. When it was our turn we opted for just the photo in the standard foldable cardboard display. And inquired with a staff member about how we could've sat up front with the pilot for our flight. As our pilot noted it was the man or woman sitting up fronts birthday. And my girlfriend booked the flight as a surprise birthday experience for me, and if she'd known they do special things like that for people. She would've mentioned it. The lady at the cou ter said they don't have a specific seating arrangement, but some people will give the pilot or staff some cash in advance. To get preferred seating up front. Wish we would've known that so we could've maybe sat up front, or at least had the opportunity to decide if we wanted to do that. Since my girlfriend specifically chose that tour as a surprise birthday experience. Note: A separate review on another platform was left about that the tipping thing, and we were told they don't do that. And while that may not be policy, that is NOT what we were told by the staff member we asked, when we inqured about how they chose seating. Other than that, the experience was good, and our pilot was friendly.

We had a terrible experience at the helicopter Maverick on my wife's birthday. We were sharing the helicopter with a family of four. Instead of seating us in the front for the views, the pilot decided to put us in the back corner, completely out of sight. He sat the family in the front and the big dad by the door, but we couldn't see anything. It was a complete waste of money. No videos could be taken.

Wanting the night helicopter experience this was the best choice! There are other companies but honestly their helicopters did not look as safe as these. Everything is so well organized it all ran smoothly. We arrived 30 mins before our flight as requested. Our pilot showed up introduced himself very nice guy. Took us around the city. It was such a beautiful experience. Recommend 10/10!!! Something you have to experience at least once in your life time!

What a fantastic experience! Maverick staff are very professional and made my first helicopter ride impeccable. From booking, to the pick up/drop off, to the ride itself. I can't think of anything that I didn't like or thought it could have been better. Kudos to the entire team.

What an amazing flight! We booked the whole helicopter for the 5 of us so we could have a more private experience. I would recommended Maverick to anyone! We felt safe and our pilot was wonderful- we also loved being first in the lineup. Seeing Vegas in the sky at night.. unforgettable! Thank you for an amazing trip

We had the absolute experience of a lifetime with Maverick for our Valley of Fire elopement! From start to finish, everything was seamless, breathtaking, and truly unforgettable! Marie, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She planned and coordinated every detail so seamlessly, and officiated our ceremony! Ryan, our pilot, flew the helicopter with incredible skill and ease. We felt completely relaxed and were able to take in the most breathtaking views imaginable. And Keiki, our photographer, captured the day in the most stunning way possible. We couldn't have asked for anyone better to preserve this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The team went above and beyond to make our day magical. We'll cherish this memory forever and can't thank them enough for making our special day so extraordinary! Highly recommend!!

We went at night for helicopter ride. They give you welcome alcohol drink. I did not drink it since I don't usually drink but that was nice gesture. When we got inside the helicopter, it was so beautiful with all the lights with high buildings. An nice city view~ it did feel bit tight to get in. We rode it in the front next to pilot and older couple on the back seat. Once ride was over, pilot escorted me out. We did enjoy our ride since my husband was in middle of training to be pilot. Once we got off the helicopter at front of gift shop there was our photo we took before we got in the ride.. Idk if they trash it if ppl don't buy it. Didn't love the photo enough but we bought it for the memory lol. :D Overall it was an great experience.

We had the most amazing experience today flying to the Grand Canyon!! It was breathtaking & our pilot, Bryce was so polite, fun & shared awesome information with us about everything we flew over! I couldn't believe the views & the champagne in the Grand Canyon made everything even more special!! Our flight back to Vegas, over the strip was a fantastic grand finale!! What a wonderful day! Everyone in our helicopter was so fun & we were all very excited!!

Cool choppers, I even bought one of the scale models for sale in the lobby.

I'm leaving this review on Thanksgiving, while co-incidentally watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I only mention that fact because I was in a similar position ( to the characters in the movie ) recently, and Maverick Helicopters really came through. I never considered for one moment that the weather on Catalina would be so bad that all boat service would be cancelled. After a while of trying to find other ways out, I discovered Maverick. The real surprise is how easy they made it. I'm used to ridiculous levels of paperwork and bureaucracy so I was in disbelief that booking with Maverick was so simple. I kept waiting for the catch where something else goes wrong but no, it was textbook simple and I thank Maverick management for that. We showed up a couple of hours early and to my surprise, our booking agent Grant was able to accommodate us for an even sooner trip out. We appreciated Grant showing us the different helicopters, talking briefly about their history and the company's use of them. The flight was only 15 minutes back to Long Beach as opposed to the 90 minute ( unavailable ) boat ride, so I'll probably book with Maverick again. Typically I park in Dana Point where Maverick service isn't available but I might risk the 405 just to get to them. ( But seriously Maverick, if you ever wanted to open an office in Dana Point or even Oceanside, I'm all with it. )

My husband took our two adult sons, one who was visiting from out of town on a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and they had a great time. They got to take a lot of pictures while inside the helicopter and beside the helicopter, and the views were amazing for them. Neither of our sons had been on a helicopter ride before so this was a special treat, kinda pricey but a wonderful experience to treasure.

Maverick helicopter your of the grand canyon is a good experience. You will see a different side of the Nevada landscape than other tours. The polots are very nice. Now the tour we this time did not go to eagle point so if you are looking for the glass bridge and eagle point try their other tour options.

Can I use my Mexico ID to fly?

Hello, Jose! You may provide any government-issued ID at check-in to fly with us.

Is there a way to ride with just your partner or is there always others along for the ride?

The seating configuration for our Grand Canyon flights seat up to seven guests while our Vegas Strip flights max out at six guests. Private flights are available if you book the full amount of seats on the helicopter.

Do they weigh you before the flight?

We will discretely weigh you with all your belongings (purse, backpack) at the time of check-in to properly balance the aircraft. If you have any other questions please let us know.

With COVID-19 restrictions, I assume you're crammed into a helicopter with strangers with no social distancing and they still have 6 passengers per helicopter instead of decreasing it to 4?

Not sure how you can enforce social distancing inside a helicopter cabin. No different than being inside a car with other people.… Read more

Before the drive back to Vegas, our guide stopped by the Joshua Tree forest, and we snapped a few photos. It was such a wonderful day! FIVE STARS.

From the moment we set off, it was clear that this was far more than a standard sightseeing tour--it was a thoughtfully curated experience that truly fulfilled our minds as much as it delighted our senses. John shared in-depth knowledge about the Valley of Fire's ancient rock formations, many dating back tens of thousands of years, explaining how tectonic movement, erosion, and time shaped the dramatic landscape and its vivid red, orange, and white hues. He also provided meaningful insight into the Native peoples of the region, including how petroglyphs etched into the rocks were used as a form of communication, storytelling, and cultural preservation. In addition to his expertise on the land itself, John was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Las Vegas, seamlessly connecting the Valley of Fire to the city's past--from its early days and regional development to how this ancient landscape influenced the growth of the modern Las Vegas we know today. This broader historical perspective added incredible depth and made the experience feel both educational and enriching. The tour was luxury-leaning and impeccably organized, with a comfortable vehicle, a relaxed pace, and ample time for photos and thoughtful discussion. John's passion, attentiveness, and ability to answer questions in detail made the experience feel personal rather than scripted.
