Pretty good green chili soup, worth to try! It's interesting to have the elk sausage burger, little bit salty but taste is not bad. The fries were the best! So fresh and crispy! Great spot and service.

Drove into Granby and stopped for lunch. She remembered this place from her prior visits and suggested it. That was good enough for me. There is parking and patio seating which was nice. We opted to sit inside the quaint dining area. Lots of cool decor and there was a game room with some gaming machines that weren't hooked up - due to covid maybe? She ordered the Italian beef sandwich which came with an au jus sauce. It's a shaved steak sandwich served with pickled giardiniera vegetables and sautéed green peppers on a hoagie roll. She also ordered Maverick's award winning pork green chili in a cup size. I ordered the tuna salad sub. We both added garlic herb chips to our orders. Ate half my hoagie roll so I could eat all of my garlic herb chips. I love potatoes in any form. The chips were a little overcooked for me because you couldn't taste the seasonings for the burnt flavor. But I ate it all anyways as I can't bear wasting potatoes. She loved her sandwich and definitely the green chili. I tried some and it was pretty tasty. The server was friendly and the place wasn't very busy which was nice for us. There was a large screen tv which was showing a hockey game and would make this an ideal place to watch any sports at. It's on the main road of Granby so not hard to find. The menu isn't extensive so if you're not a fan of sandwiches, which I am not, it's not a great place to eat at. They also have salad, pizza and appetizers. My friend thought they had more items but maybe it's abbreviated because of covid.

Food is always amazing. service is always great too. Food does take a while to come out but worth it. Restaurant is country style and homey! Always a pleasant experience!

Well, not sure what to say other than it's a typical mountain community restaurant. Telly's to watch your sport, limited menu offerings, so-so service (must be the lack of air in high altitude?) Saturday had college football in the screen, the dining tables are in much disrepair, the food, well, it seemed made in a hurry. The green chile was good, the rest, not so much. We had to ask for everything and ask twice. Condiments, refills....you name it. Big group? Don't expect the bill to be broken out and 20% gratuity added immediately to parties of 6 or more.

I just called the restaurant back after picking up an online and my partner picked it up and when he got back questioned how much we were charged. He told me the burger and fries were 18.39 - he was charged extra for the fries and the bacon. The menu online - see photos below, advertise that the bacon cheeseburger is $15 and $1 to sub fries. Note we paid cash. We were not given or offered a receipt. I spoke to Tamra and she interrupted me everytime I started to speak. She would not listen to my complaint. Tamra was very defensive in her tone and started to tell me the price of the burgers (build your own burger). I told her the online menu says a bacon cheeseburger is $15. She argued she had told me the price when I called - she did not, and I corrected her. I would have corrected this then. She argued she handed Joel a menu and everyone else when they walk in that has the correct prices. She started to accuse me of yelling at her - bunch of drama, that sounded like she was being attacked. I was not yelling at her or raising my voice. I told her I was being assertive to correct the price and she said no you are being aggressive. It should be noted that it is a typical sexist response to accuse a woman of yelling or being emotional when she asserts herself. She hung up on me three times. I had to call back to try to ask for a refund but she was too defensive. It was at closing time that I called. Perhaps she had a long day and was fed up. But she left me feeling very upset and taken back at her rudeness, lack of professionalism, and the lack of basic customer service skills. When my partner picked up the carry-out Tamra came out with multiple to go orders. She turned to him and said "Which one are you?" He replied "Bacon Cheeseburger". She responded "how am I supposed to know which it is?" He saw she needed a name. [perhaps greet the person and then ask for the name on the order]. The wait staff we experienced in the past were wonderful. The burgers were great. The green chile was pretty good - a lil' salty. Guac was a lil' salty with a unique test. It is very expensive but we had enjoyed ourselves there. We are here every Summer and eat out often. Maverick's was our place to go this year up to this point. Because Tamra's need to be right was more important than giving us good service we will not return. And we will no longer recommend Mavericks and discourage people from going there due to the poor service. Not sure who will enjoy that extra $2.39 but is the last of the profit you will get from us.

Colorado dining at its finest. Great atmosphere and small chairs. Great soup de jour joke on menu.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful right from the start--especially when my wife was deciding what to order. They even suggested the option of getting a half burrito for half the price, which was a great tip and much appreciated. She went with the Mama's Burrito (with bacon), and I had the Christy Breakfast Burrito. We both had ours smothered in the green chile (pork) sauce--highly recommend. Both were excellent. The chorizo in the Christy was especially well done--full of flavor without being greasy. My wife loved hers, and the half portion ended up being perfect. We also had coconut lattes, which were smooth and really well balanced. Even though you order at the counter, the staff checked in on us several times, which added a nice personal touch. The space is bright and welcoming with lots of natural light. It's in a strip mall, but being on the end gives it a more open feel. The Southwest, slightly kitschy décor fits the vibe well. We noticed a steady stream of regulars and to-go orders, which says a lot. Places don't stay busy--or around this long--without doing things right. If you're anywhere near Granby, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

Woo, okay this is going to be a long one…read more... Bluebird bistro was a rollercoaster ride, starting with a frustrating welcome. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate our group of (14). The "helpful" person on the phone offered two options: 1. We could be seated separately at different tables right away OR 2. Wait about an hour for one large table. We decided to go with option 1. Arrived at the restaurant just 5 mins later (we were literally already down the road), only for that exact person to tell us when arriving a completely different story. She claimed that we didn't call her back to let her know we were on our way... ? .... Therefore she had no wait time for us and didn't know how long it'll be.. uh? Ok? We were all confused, and frustrated. As we talked amongst ourselves in the waiting area, we decided we were going to take our business elsewhere..... well what do you know suddenly a table was ready for us. At this point, it was getting late, chilly and hangry. We decided to stay and give it a try. And honestly I'm happy we did because we were blessed with a waitress named Kendra, who was phenomenal! Kendra transformed our experience, her service was top-notch. When a few people in our group were not happy with their drinks/orders, she quickly took the items off the check and brought out replacements. I had ordered the elote nachos, and they arrived without queso, instead of just bringing a side of cheese, Kendra took the entire plate back and returned with a fresh, hot order made correctly. Let's talk FOOD: Honestly it was mostly a hit. My margarita pizza was delicious. the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the balsamic drizzle was a perfect touch. The others in our group were happy with their pizzas, wings, burgers, and steaks. Even the kids seemed pretty happy with their basic chicken fingers and fries( lol ) .... I was told the only miss were the fish tacos, which were on the dry side, and my elote nachos. While the nachos were good, they didn't have much of the classic "elote" I was hoping for like the crumbles of cheese, sauce etc... Overall, it was a decent spot, and thanks to Kendra, our meal/experience was really SAVED. I took off stars because again while the food was generally good, the confusing and unwelcoming check-in process was a major let down.
