Favorite place in town! The food is always amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is the best. I love the owners, and we always chit chat, my daughter runs up to them and they always make time for hugs and check ins. James even sits with us sometimes for a few minutes to check in. I really feel like when I go there that I'm visiting friends. The waitresses even know my daughter loves to color and they know she wants the horse coloring sheet every time. Well dang we thought it was gonna be great, but sadly it wasn't. The service was ok, but the food did not deliver to our tastes at all. She ordered a ribeye, I got the ribs. Her steak was very small, the first downer. It actually was cooked med. As ordered, but completely flavorless! I mean no seasoning or depth to the meat at all....bummer. on to the ribs.....very moist, but same deal......BLAND AS ALL GET OUT! The"house" BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup w a hint of Brown sugar. And they weren't grilled, must have been baked or braised maybe? I'm sure a 90 year old with a bad ulcer would appreciate them, I did not. Now the bill.......we didn't order apps or dessert and the check was $48 plus change....we wished we ventured to Spokane and hit the casino buffet instead, pretty dissatisfied with our meals. And it's her birthday, sorry babe. Not the worst, the place is very nice and our side salads that came first were good....but over $50 w tip for this caliber of food will keep us away. read more

Driving south from a wonderful ski vacation in Canada, my family and my friend and her family were looking for a restaurant with quick service and a step up from the usual fast food venues. When we arrived at Mavericks with its oversized solid wood entry door and western flare, we were eager to experience this establishment. We were met with warm smiles and quick and friendly service! When dining with twelve people, were pleasantly surprised by the speed and care given to all our diners particularly a nephew with a serious milk allergy. He was given special and acute attention to his dietary needs and the manager was careful to put everyone at ease with regard to the restaurant's efforts to keep his entree completely dairy free! (Not an easy task). Did I mention that their burgers had some of the best tasting beef I have encountered in many months. Worth all the effort for fabulous service, delicious food, and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a return visit when we pass this way again! read more

I have occasionally called in and picked up take out for lunch from Mavericks here in Colville, and my biggest complaint is that we never get napkins or silverware, but they do put both orders in a plastic bag. But its difficult when its brought back to work and its say a "Salad" or "Soup" I cannot eat it with my fingers........ And I have to say that this happens every single time. It is common knowledge that when you order take out, they include silverware. Without a napkin, fine, I will wipe on my sleeve but I will not use my fingers as a spoon or fork. And I have to say that they will not be my place for take out again. read more

I am pleased to say that Maverick's has delicious food, served with joy and kindness. They are very personable and make you feel special. Their service is "Top Notch" and the best part they serve foods with kosher salt for those of us who are unable to tolerate seafoods and other fish products. This restaurant is neat and tidy with a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. This will be our restaurant of choice! read more

We stopped here on our way home from our honeymoon. We won't be stopping by again. The service was ok but not good either. The food seemed as if it was all frozen and had no flavor. The thing that got us the worst was the amount of flies inside (and outside). We couldn't take a bite of our food without chasing flies off of it. read more

This visit was a big let down. If we could rate 0 stars, I would. We had decided to come to mavericks to have a celebration lunch for our uncle. It seemed as though they were very understaffed with two waitresses working the entire packed restaurant on a Saturday lunch crowd. We were asked for our drink order 15 or so min after being seated, then received them a following 10-15 min after that. We ordered 4 hamburgers and an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. After waiting 45 min from our order time, my husband went and asked the waitress if our appetizer and food would be coming soon. She stated that she forgot and will take care of it. 15 min later she came out with all our food (at this point we had been there an hour and a half). While the hamburgers were all warm, the mozzarella stick most definable were not. The waitress was unapologetic stating she has no control of when the kitchen gets things out. When brought to her attention at least 4 tables were sat after us had already received their food, the waitress got rude to husband stating that the hamburgers we ordered were some how harder to make than the neighboring tables... all 4 tables. She came back several times and continued to make comments that re-inflamed the situation with my husband. Her last comment when she brought the bill (full bill, no discount for the wait and full charge on the cold mozzarella sticks) was directed to my uncle in a very sarcastic voice, "I hope your birthday gets better than these 'hamburgers'". It took another 25 min to get the credit card run to pay for our lunch. I know everyone has a hard day once in a while, but to keep picking arguments with customers, is NOT a good business model. We will not be back, despite the warm food that we did receive being very tasty. read more

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. The food was horrible and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my enemies. I'm not sure why this place has great reviews but I suspect those reviews are from the employees. The food was bland and had no flavor. I'm not sure who is tasting and approving the menu but they need help. I will never eat there again. For those of you who are thinking of eating there (beware) and don't bother unless you want to be disappointed. read more

Traveling through town, looking for a place to eat dinner. New restaurant, 5 weeks as of 7/31/2010. Straight forward American menu heavy on steaks, burgers, etc. with no surprises. Couldn't tell if straight from FSA or all done locally. Food was very well done, steaks cooked perfectly. Small wine list but very inexpensive. Whole menu was inexpensive. We enjoyed a perfect summer evening in the patio dinning area, which included the food, drinks and service. It was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was almost full with what appeared to be locals, so word has gotten around. Friendly place, we were happy. read more

We came through Colville, thinking this restaurant would be great-- high hopes as there aren't many good choices. The menu looked okay so we ordered a steak and salmon, plus salads and drinks. The waitress was highly distracted, not sure what was going on with her-- maybe just spacey? It took a long time for salads to arrive and, frankly, they were way overpriced. The steak was simple, salmon overpriced. Bland food, unremarkable place, seems like a lot of processed stuff on the menu. Prices act like this is a high-end restaurant but food acts like its quick service. Do not recommend at all. read more

We eat here alot, nice decor, inside and out. Staff is very friendy, eager to please. Plenty of food for the buck.

unfortunately this is the second time my family and I have had not such an amazing experience. The service is friendly and fast enough but the food was yet again not appetizing. My husband ordered the ribeye which by the way for 18+ dollars was small and cooked way over done when ordred med rare. Son ordered a hawaiian burger and it was completely burnt and dry. We thought to order dessert to share and thought 5.75 was a bit expensive but not only was that the case it was the size of a sample cheesecake. tasty but super small. not sure if we will try a third time. read more
