The restrooms have a strong mildew smell even though they look clean. Dusty boxes are stacked everywhere. The fountain machine has very limited options, no Diet Coke?! While I won't rank it among the worst burgers I've ever had, it certainly wasn't good, either. Yes, it's a gas station. My total came to $13.31 (2 monster drinks and 2 bags of corn nuts, and a cup of ice) I didn't even get gas. There was no one in the store besides the employee, there wasn't even anyone getting gas as the gas area was taped off and the ground was getting some kind of pressure cleaning. Two toilets were completely plugged, one stall had no toilet paper, there was no paper towels, and every garbage can was overflowing with trash--inside and outside. Garbage littered the ground. It was genuinely gross. What's worse is this station is brand new--but you'd never know it. It looked and felt completely neglected. We've always counted on Maverik as a reliable stop for gas, food, and a clean bathroom break during road trips, but this experience was terrible. I worked late into the night, and have a history of gassing up, purchasing snacks etc. well before I picked my snacks and paid for my gas, I visited the ladies room. I'm not kidding you, but the restroom was filled with the local lot lizards drinking and cleaning themselves. I did noticed an employee standing near the door observing the raucous; I quickly used the restroom and walked out, picked out my fav tea and a bag of Chex muddy's. I stood in line for about ten mins, once I reached the cashier to pay, the same employee that was in the restroom was standing near the cashier. I was approached in a very unprofessional manner and accused of stealing some alcohol and drinking it in the restroom. Now, let me make this clear, I am not a drinker, let alone a smoker or drug user. I feel as if I were racially profiled by the employee who was literally observing in The bathroom. I politely explained my position and asked the manager to pull the cameras or call the police to have this insane accusation handled. The manager declined all of my requests. I was literally livid and embarrassed. I did call the corporate office the following day and demanded the cameras to be pulled and an apology' for discrediting my integrity. I will not do business with this place of business based on my negative experience.
