Food just tastes like they went shopping at the managers special section of Safeway. I feel like I'm in a clinic waiting room while in here. I mean it is Lovelock You could maybe season the food to make it better. I've never had dirty dish tasting radishes until here.

We were the only eaters for a late breakfast so the food came quickly. It was filling and tasted good. Our Tobasco sauce bottle was empty so I asked for another bottle. The server said she hoped they had some but was able to find a bottle. After serving us, the server went outside to water the flowers. We were never offered refills of coffee so my husband went to the counter, and the cook gladly helped us. The cafe is clean so that was a plus.

Chips were average at best, but the margaritas and salsa were excellent!

Traveling through Nevada and stopped in the lovely town of Lovelock looking for a nice place to eat. Found this little diner and couldn't be happier. Wonderfully flavorful and perfectly prepared 8oz steak, chile relleno and very tasty salsa. Nice comfortable, clean seating, good for large groups and families. The service in particular was outstanding. We loved our waitress Mel(?), hope we got her name correct - she's from Seattle - she was super friendly, attentive and made great margaritas! Apparently her daughter makes great sourdough as well, so the next time we're through we'll have to stop by and get some. Can highly recommend this as a nice relaxing place to get good food at a good price!

Stopped in Lovelock and found exactly what I needed: a café untouched by the plastic gloss of chain diners. The walls carry the story -- framed photos of weathered cabins, wagon wheels, and ranch relics, paired with little bronze cowboys frozen mid-ride. It all anchors you to the place before you've even tasted the coffee. No tacky jukebox -- just a modest and real Bluetooth speaker humming old country songs, your server is also your DJ. It sets the right tone: unpretentious, steady, familiar. The French toast came golden, bacon crisp, scrambled eggs hearty -- exactly the breakfast you want before pointing east into the desert. Nothing showy, just real food served with quiet confidence. This place feels genuine. Not curated, not themed, but lived-in -- a little pocket of Americana holding its ground on the long highway.

Service was ok, but waitress seemed a little distant and put off. Food was pretty good for a small town but not amazing. Will try again.

The burger was good but the Mexican food is not. We ordered enchiladas and macho burrito.

I was kind of in the aisle and felt like I may be in the way of people and staff walking by, but it worked out ok. Despite it being busy, we were waited on quickly. They brought out chips and salsa to start while we reviewed the menu. I ordered the chicken with shrimp that came with rice, beans and tortillas. My husband got the chili verde chimichanga with rice and beans. The food was fresh and the plates were hot. I really enjoyed my meal and liked the flavors of the shrimp and chicken topped with cheese and fresh mushrooms. I must have been hungry because I cleaned the plate. The beans were good, and had a sweeter flavor like I like. The rice was cooked well and did not have any undercooked crunchy bits. I would surely return again when I'm in the area.

The waitress didn't bring chips and salsa until we asked for it. Ehhh. The chips were stale. Must be bulk Costco chips. Nope! My daughter ordered a Michelada. She asked if they had Chamoy and Tajin? They did. The waitress must of misunderstood her as she wanted the rim with Chamoy and Tajin. She had it put in the actual drink. My grandson ordered chicken nuggets and fries off the child's menu. He must not of liked it as he didn't eat very much. He is super picky though. I had the same thing as last time. Surf and Turf. I enjoyed my meal. My daughter's mom got enchiladas again and she liked it too. They both did NOT like the rice which was unfortunate as they ordered double rice with their meal. I will still stop here on any future trips to Idaho. 3*

Late post 7/22 - lunch…read more We frequent this restaurant from time to time and are usually served by Rufino, who is absolutely amazing. On this visit, however, Genaro was our server, and he was just as friendly, attentive, and funny. He made our lunch even more enjoyable. My friends hadn't been here in a while, but we all left happy with our meals. We each ordered one of the lunch specials: the taco & enchilada combo, the chile relleno, and the tamale & taco combo. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I also like taking advantage of their drink specials, and my family never skips their delicious cheese crispy appetizer--it's always a favorite! If you haven't been here yet, it's definitely worth a visit. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or dinner, it's a great option with good food and friendly service.

Portions were generous. Everything was fresh, the cheese delicious, and the seasonings out of this world. I said then that I would gladly drive from Reno to Fernley any time I had an excuse to come here. Today, a different friend handed me an excuse. Two bites into her chile relleno she (a professional chef) looked up at me and said, "Oh, yeah!" The the people were nice, the dining room was very clean, the ambiance cheerful, (tables and booths), and the restroom spotless. I'll be back!
