Location needs to hire new workers or something, it's literally like watching two turtles make sandwiches with no sense of urgency. Only averaging 1 sandwich made per every 15-20m. At 1:30p on a Saturday they had no tomato's or onions. Make sure they are changing gloves, I had a person with very filthy hands hop the line to buy brownies, the person making my sandwich stopped making my sandwich to ring him up. I was in town for 4 days, population 1854 people , so there's not much to do or go to, as far as food there's not that many options or other sun sandwiches to compare it in the area. I was passing through town coming back from Parma Idaho and decided to stop to have a sammy. I haven't been to a Port of Subs in over 25 years. I got the hot pastrami on white with swiss, lettuce, onion, and tomato. Wow! what a sandwich. The pastrami was so flavorful. It brought me back to when I had it way back when. Really good. Whenever I pass through I will 100% for sure will be stopping to have another sammy. read more

Yikes. Steer clear of this place. We love Port of Subs, and always stop at one when we're on a road trip. Today we stopped at this location. The ladies working seemed as if they were under the influence. One muttered "I hate this job" while making another customer his order. We're really concerned after eating here about food poisoning, as the amount of cross contamination was INSANE. They used the same rag to wipe the knife that they used to wipe the counters. Said rag came out of a bin of very dirty looking water. So, wish us luck on no food poisoning on our several hour drive (we did end up throwing most of our food away). The lady who cut my sandwich did so in a way that made the tomato squish out of the sandwich, and then just abandoned those tomatoes on the counter. All in all, this visit was like something out of the Twilight Zone, and I'm flabbergasted that this location hasn't been shut down by the health department. read more

Not too shabby, gabby! Nice lil' PORT OF SUBS right off the exit along I80, inside a gas station /convience store. I stopped in at noon, eating by noon-o-5. Lots of people ordering, super busy staff, and they performed very well to a lunch time crowd. The sandwich was filling, nice, hot, and fresh. The price, just right. Dry sandwich and nasty! Veggies weren't fresh and the help was unfriendly. No greeting, no thank you and they had the intestinal fortitude to have a tip jar out! Really? What would I be tipping for? Did you bring me my food? Did you clean up after me? You weren't even friendly so what's the "extra service" you provided me? I like Port of Sub's but this one is not on my list to ever venture into again. All I got was a "what you want" from the parolee behind the counter. Made a stop over for gas and food. The store is part of the gas station so we weren't expecting much but we were happily proved wrong. Great staff. We are vegetarian and the staff offered to clean the cheese cutter which was very thoughtful of him. Sandwiches are delicious. There is also a playground a little distance away. We had the kids play and then picked up sandwiches. We stopped again on our way back. If you are looking for a quick stopover on I-84, I would absolutely recommend Port of Subs. read more

We just stopped to get fuel and I went in and seen the clean, well stocked Port of Subs counter and thought that would hit the spot. Let me tell you not only was the large sandwich gigantic my husband said he has eaten a lot of sandwiches and that was one of the best. He isn't that guy. Stopped here yesterday on the way through to Lake Tahoe. WARNING! My friend has had severe food poisoning ever since. He had the pastrami sandwich here. We know it was not any other restaurant because, at that restaurant, I ate the same food. I had a turkey sandwich here where the bread was really tough and dry.
