The Taos Walgreens pharmacy is a joke. Understaffed and incompetent. And they charge 3x comparing their price to GoodRx.

We live in Albuquerque, but nowhere near an Allsup's, so when we saw this location in Taos, a stop…read morefor chimichangas was a must. The chimichangas were crispy outside and gooey inside, just like they're supposed to be. What was awesome about this particular location is that they have a great selection of groceries at reasonable prices. We ordered groceries for our visit, but the store didn't have eggs. Allaup's did--and they were actually cheaper than what the grocery store was selling them for. This is March 2025, and eggs are ridiculously expensive now. The eggs at Allsup's were $6.19, while the Walmart brand were $7. They had plenty of other groceries, from fresh produce to breakfast cereal. We come to Taos often enough that Allsup's will now be our grocery stop when we come through

The A.M. "manager" Alberta, is in need of some training. She discriminates in blatant disregard of…read more1967 Civil Rights Act. She also regularly makes false police reports. She accused a customer of not paying for milk that was in her bag. Calling the person a shoplifter. Alberta was then shown the milk in question wasn't a brand that allsups even sold. Instead of apologizing she told the women to leave because she was asking ppl outside for money and if she didn't leave then and there she would call the police. I was in the store and had purchased coffee and a burrito. The store next door hadn't opened yet and I asked the clerk when they opened. She didn't know. Ok I walked out and a woman ik was also leaving. She told me she had just got into a shelter. I enquired as to her kids well being and he was good. That was that and we said goodbye. I noticed my hands were dirty and walked back into the store where Alberta informed me that I was panhandling and she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. Now panhandling would mean I was asking for money from a stranger I guess. Since I wasn't doing that and no money was even discussed I believe this to be nother example of Alberta's discrimination while manager of store. If she had called the police it would have been a false police report which I believe is a felony. Go to allsups in the AM and see the fat headed ol racist 5days a week before she gets fired

There is nearly always a line to the cashier and card scanners at the pumps are frequently problematic requiring you to go inside. Security is fine, and there are a few less low-lifes lurking than at most public places in Taos. The layout is fairly spacious and ingress/egress is simple with any rig. They have a fairly wide selection of beers and beverages and an excellent tobacco shop (the only one in Taos County). Their humidor offers about 50 premium cigars, mostly trendy American mades. There is also a small bottle shop which mostly sells miniatures to pedestrians. I am a sports car enthusiast and mechanic, and I can say, clearly, there is nothing wrong with their fuel. It is ordinary E10 offered in 3 levels of octane and diesel. The tanks, filters and pumps are still new. There is, another, much older station in El Prado which is notorious for making cars sick. If you prefer ethanol free, there is a new Allsups station on Paseo Sur with middle grade ethanol -free. You won't save any money at Hail Creek or anywhere in Taos but you can feel good that profits go into the tribal coffers for the good of it's members.

Use the restrooms, let the dog take a break. My wife is handicapped and this last stop after a long day in the car is something my wife anticipated and looks forward to before going home. It usually takes us a little more time than the average customer because of my wife's handicap and all the things we need to get and do to prepare for the next work day and our long commute. We spend thousands of dollars a month here. Unfortunately, not only is our business not appreciated by Speedway staff, but the clerks are down right hostile. Tonight the clerk refused me service including gasoline because he didn't want me in the parking lot anymore. My wife and I had been there maybe ten minutes or less filling our water jugs before I pulled to the gas pumps. I went in to pay for gas and get some other items and the clerk aggressively stated he wasn't going to sell me gas because I had been there to long. ?????? Corporate is going to get letter. I have had enough bad service , bad attitudes, and complete rudeness by the employees the operate this store. Corporate is going to get a letter, a video clip of the inappropriateness of the employees towards a 63 year old handicapped woman who can barely walk unassisted. Enough is enough.
