We waited so long that someone who worked there eventually came up and asked if we needed help with anything- we stated we were waiting on our order and they said it was gonna be another 10 minutes. All that waiting around for burnt sourdough, half melted cheese, and bland sausage. Kitchen seemed frazzled although it wasn't busy, felt like they threw our food together to start cleaning the kitchen to close, although we weren't there near closing time. The tab was also somehow $52 for two iced coffees and two mediocre breakfast sandwiches..talk about a ripoff. I haven't even had breakfast that expensive in Aspen or Jackson Hole. One star because the coffee was really good, and the bathroom was cool but that's about it. Everything else about the experience there was lackluster, and I will not recommend this place to anyone who visits Taos. This experience was so awful that I had to send in an email in hopes they respond/take my feedback and improve on things, but I will not go back next time I'm in town personally to see if these issues have changed. In fact, they fed everyone there. It was an act of generosity I promised to repay when things reopened. Since then, I've been back many times--and I've loved everything I've tried. The food and drinks are consistently excellent. Yes, it can be a little pricey, but it's absolutely worth it for the quality and care they put into every order. I wholeheartedly recommend KOKO's.
