Thanks to Joey for quick service. 10 stars! We were returning from vacation in beautiful Geneva, NY when the tire indicator lit up. Joey at Mavis Discount Tire there was a wonderful find. He was very professional in his assessment that the tires were all down 4 pounds (our mechanic at home had not found any problem). He fixed the problem quicky and sent us on our way without so much as a bill. Brought in my car for a slow leak in my driver's side tire today and was greeted by Jose. He was courteous and clearly articulated that he thought it could be a small puncture or a leak in the valve and that they would take a closer look. It turned out to be screw in the tire, which they sealed up and sent me on my way on a 5 hour drive back home. Having driven in torrential rain for most of the trip, I cant help but wonder what would have happened if I didnt stop at your location. I needed brakes done and didn't have much time. Chris and his Manager took my time crunch seriously. They discovered additional critical issues that had to be repaired. They explained the issues clearly to me and I approved the work. They hustled to get the parts in time to ensure I was able to have a safe reliable vehicle back in the same day. Midday, I needed something from the vehicle and they had it up on the lift and they lowered it for me so I could grab the personal affects I needed and had forgotten to take when I dropped it off on the morning. I came in to get a replacement tire after a nail damaged the previous one. Scheduling an appointment was fast and easy. They even were able to fit me in the same day before closing. When I got there, they worked on my car nearly right away. While I was waiting though, the waiting area was not air conditioned and it was a pretty hot day. The television was not working. The water cooler had no cups, but there was a fountain near the bathrooms. The men's bathroom was fairly clean. Once my car was done, it took a long time for the front desk person to come back and get me checked out. It seemed like he was the only one managing the register and he was checking in other cars that needed to be fixed. The price was fair and the work was done well. This was an emergency situation and not many other garages were open on a Saturday at 3:15pm. This would be a 3 star if not for the convenience and price factor. read more

Terrible service- tires we ordered over a week before our appointment were discovered not to have arrived 50 minutes into our appointment. Took three hours to mount 4 tires, balance and do an alignment. Turns out there was a brand new tech on duty working on my car. Once I finally got on the highway to go home - the car was shaking badly. Being in a place I could not stop and 75 miles from home - I had no choice but to drive it. I made an appointment with my local Mavis explaining that we were due to leave in a week for a long distance trip. They took it right in and came to me about 10 minutes later and told me that the tires were not balanced and that they would take care of it right away. They did so professionally unlike the experience I had at this Geneva Ny store. I will never go back there read more

This was by far the worst tire experience of my life. Took 2 hours to get it replaced and I think the most frustrating trying about it was Chris was all by himself up front and there were 4 or 5 techs just standing around, didn't even offer to help him out. read more

Service was complete but it wasn't quick.. I scheduled an 11 am appt and almost 2 hrs later I am still sitting here waiting.. my car has been on the lift over and hour. All they are doing is an oil change and tire rotation. read more

Had an issue a couple months back had to call regional manager. They have a new manager there now and he took care of my warranty issue quickly and was courteous and professional to deal with. Problem solved. Quite pleased. I hadn't planned on going back after the last mngr. but she's gone and I get great tires at a good price and now I get great service. read more

Let me start by saying that the main reason for this review is the staff. Dennis was very rude and actually yelled over the phone with customers to his staff at he store. I bought 8 tires total In 2 years both 70k mike tires and they barley made it 20k miles. They don't stand behind the work or tires. read more

I had a TPMS light on (tire pressure monitor sensor, whatever). A friend had suggested I go there and ask for Chris to fix it. I called and asked for Chris, they said he worked there, and we agreed I could come right in. I get there, and they say Chris had the day off. Another guy comes out to my car, checks the sensor on all 4 tires, and explains which ones are bad. I ask him when he can fix it, and he says they are "idiot lights", and they mean nothing, and the car will work just fine without them, thanks for coming in, bye. I asked if he was going to fix them and he said it was unnecessary. I won't go there again. read more

Took my car there to get my new set of tires installed (everything was fine with the car) and when I went to pick it up the low tire pressure light was on. They explained that it was normal and it was gonna go away after a few miles. Went back 3 days later because the light was still on and the lady in the front was EXTREMELY RUDE and her excuse was that the car had other issues. she didn't explain those "issues" when I took the car to get the service. So far the WORST place you can take your car to get fixed around Geneva. read more

My daughter brought our car in to have them look at the brakes and give her advice on what to do. When SHE called to THEM ask the status later that day they said they had to order a part. They did the work without quoting her a price or receiving permission. They charged her close to $650. If she had been quoted a price she would have asked us for permission to have the work done and we would have had her get another quote. I believe they took advantage of her age and sex. When I tried to resolve this issue with them they implied that my daughter lied, even though the receipt shows she wasn't quoted a price on the brakes, only offered a quote on additional work (based on the car's mileage, not an inspection). After spending 3 weeks trying to resolve this issue, they offered us a $100 refund. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Do NOT use this business. What a joke. 5 guys working. left truck at 10:00 in morning. when I got there at 4:10 it was on lift, wheels off. 1 other truck on another lift. at 4:30 he said another 20. Truck finished at 5:15. Had four new tires put on car and alignment done. A week later too to my regular mechanic and found that three of my four tires were out of alignment. I was told if this continued I would have work put tires fast. My recommendation is use another garage. read more

They were open on a Sunday, even for an oil change! We were headed 300 miles back to CT and my truck needed an oil change. No other place was open, and Mavis had a steady flow of customers. The manager was professional and courteous. He got us in right away, and the work was done in 1/2 hour. The waiting area and bathroom was clean. There was a children's area for my daughter to play in while we waited. To top it off the oil change was only $20 due to a membership I have with another tire company. It was a flawless experience! Bought $600 worth of tires for my truck on 7/15... when the employee was backing it out of the garage, he smashed my passenger side mirror as well as breaking the housing unit. The manager told me to replace the mirror and take him the receipt to be refunded... I did and was told I'd receive a check(because it was over $200) in 7-10 days... I still have not been reimbursed for the mirror! Called the manager today and was told he'd discuss it with the district manager today.... read more

Dawn was great at the front desk. She was the only one who kept me sane during my wait. My car's breaks were screwed up and I took it in, they got to it very fast. They warned me if it was the break line they would recommend other places. They ended up fixing it, as it was the wheel cylinder. I thought it would be an easy fix, which was my mistake so I stuck around. It look a while, which I'm not complaining about. When I finally got my car back, I only made it maybe 2 miles down the road and it started smoking. Brought it back and they poured three buckets of water on the break, and steam came off. Hope they didn't warp the metal. The fixed it and I was on my way. Overall very good experience. Fair price as well. Just the issue when I got my car back is why I rated it only 4 stars and not 5. After scheduling an appointment to have my inspection done I arrived early only to be told they put a walk in, in my spot and told me it would be at least 45 minutes before they could get me in. I rescheduled for the next day, arrived early was told they would get me right in, after waiting 35 minutes I go to the counter to check on the status and they hadn't even brought my car back yet. The bay was being occupied by an employee working on his race car(Hobby) and therefore paying customers were left to wait. The women at the counter is beyond rude with the worst customer service imaginable. I took my car and left. I will take it to a real business that actually wants to take care of their customers. read more

On Friday 10/20/17, my mother got a flat tire. We called around and Mavis had the best price, so we set up an appointment for Saturday the 21st at 2 p.m. Upon her arrival, my mother was told that she hadn't talked to the store, so the appointment wasn't set up and it would be 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. before they could get her in. My mother was quite upset at this development, so they took a quick look at the tire and said it could be plugged. They charged her $22 for this service. Sunday a.m. she went out to discover the same tire was flat. She called them again and they said they would get her right in if she could get to the store. It seems to me they could have offered a tow or to come put on the donut spare to facilitate this. Not impressed and won't be using or recommending them. read more
