My tire pressure sensor light was on and I called asking if they would add some air in or take some air out of my tires. John said to come by and they'd take a look. He knew who I was as soon as I walked in the door and told me to pull up to the garage. Tom checked the air in all of my tires and made sure they were the right pressure. I was good to go in 5 minutes and they didn't charge me a dime. I was missing some valve caps and they even replaced those for me too! Excellent customer service and very friendly!! I phone shopped for a particular tire. I was told that they would order them and have them by the weekend. When I got to the location on Rt. 33 in Hamilton, NJ I was told they had them. When I returned for my car, they told me some story but basically they did not have the tires I wanted. Of course they offered some lower rated tires but at the same price. Talk about bait and switch. I believe I was lied from my phone call on so I will never step into a Mavis location again. Also, while I was waiting there was a guy who returned who complained about the poor installation of one of his four ties. He got the same attitude back from the staff that I got- too bad for you. I would definitely stay away from Mavis if I were you. read more

Don't trust these guys. They DON'T take instruction well and wound up putting the spare tire WITH A NAIL in the trunk. They told my wife when she picked the car, but not me they guy who brought the car in. I originally brought the car in with a flat (the first time) . They sold me two tires and mounted them on the wrong rims (they mounted the new tire on the spare rim which has no low tire sending unit, so the dash said low pressure). That time they didn't even put the spare back in the trunk. I got a call the next day when they discovered the wheel in their shop and had no time to have them do the switch since its my daughter's car and she was leaving for college. So now my wife brings the car home and says that they didn't bother fixing the tire because they claim I told them not to---they never mentioned it to me at all. read more

This place is hands down the worst thing that could happen to your car. The manager, Ken, has no customer service skills and treats his clients like garbage. They will cause more damage to your car. Do yourself a favor and bring your car to a more trustworthy mechanic. I brought my car in for servicing and had my wipers replaced. The technician clearly dropped a tool on my windshield and didn't tell anyone. When I came later to pick it up obviously noticing the chip and crack, Dan the receptionist said that he was extremely sorry and he would call me back about this. When I didn't receive the call, I called him. He told me that he was waiting to hear back from his "windshield guy". Again, giving humanity the benefit of the doubt, I waited another day. Three days after the incident and still no call, I called Dan back and he puts Ken on the phone. I was calm the entire conversation while Ken, like a crazy man, told me that it was "my problem" to fix my own windshield. I told him that something was clearly dropped and caused the crack. Likewise, why would his technician tell me that he was trying to call his "windshield guy".Ken continued to make excuses with no clear, logical idea of the situation. (He wasn't even in the shop the day it happened!). I know that it can be hard to find a trustworthy mechanic nowadays but I'm doing you a favor by scratching this one off of the list! read more

Do not bring your car here they hire idiots who don't know what they are doing!!! I bought tire there and have been putting air in constantly for a year, my tech at Hamilton Mazda VW looked at the car and noticed every tire was leaking from the bead, this ONLY occurs when the tire is not installed right but the manager there tried to pull an idiot move and tell me maybe salt got in there from the road. This is not possible so they lied on top of it. Never again!!! They hire kids for $10 an hour not real techs. read more

I walked into Mavis on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 after finding my tire flat and seeing a screw. You could hear the air coming out around the screw. There were 2 cars in the parking lot and 1 car in the garage area. I asked the gentleman if he would be able to plug my tire for me. I told him that I understand I may have to wait. He proceeded to tell me that he couldn't get my car in for at least and hour to an hour and a half. I explained to him that I would need to pick up my truck by 3:20 in order to pick my children up from school. He informed me he couldn't guarantee that he could accommodate that because I have to wait my time in line with the appointments scheduled. Seriously?? There was no one there? I left totally irritated and went across the street to Jeff's Top Notch Garage. I was greeted by the nicest young man who told Jeff my issue. He told me to pull my truck around front and they would fix it right now. It literally took 10 minutes and they didn't even pull it in the bay. Did it right in the parking lot. I will never return to Mavis or suggest them to anyone. Typical corporate BS. read more

I was en route from CT to GA when I realized we had a nail in our rear tire. It was Sunday, so most places were closed, but thankfully, these guys were open. When they found out I was going to be driving all day, they worked me in quickly, patched my tire, and had me back on the road in no time. For doing an emergency repair on a Sunday morning, they charged me less than I'd have paid in Atlanta on a weekday. I was very grateful and highly recommend this STS. Also, there's a bagel place right next door, so my son and I were able to grab Sunday brunch while I tire was patched. read more

STS of Hamilton rocks! While at a softball tournament, I hit something which caused a flat tire. I put the spare on and drove to my local STS and asked (frantically) if they would repair it and in time to get back to my daughter's afternoon softball game. Not only did they repair it for me but they rushed me in, were super courteous, didn't try to "upsell" me anything and got me back on the road. Dave & Ken were super nice, knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me. It's rare that you have this type of super customer service experience and STS of Hamilton is fantastic! for oil changes, sts is a few dollars more than the usual mom & pop place I go to, but whenever my usual place is too busy to squeeze me in, these guys always seem to be able to give me an oil change in less than an hour. after I have gone through two magazines, my car is ready. read more

when this was sts they were a good place to go. now that it is mavis tire, customer service is not a priority at all. yesterday i got a flat tire replaced and picked it up this morning. they called yesterday at 530 for me to pick up but they closed at 600--a little inconvenient. so i pick up the car today and the tire light is on; i know that sometimes it takes a couple of miles or so for it to turn off but I drove it home (probably like 5-10 miles) and the light is still on. I call the individual store to complain and they tell me bring it back in we should have checked that when we put the new tire on. i told them i don't want to bring it back to someone who didn't do the right job in the first place. this is the second incident of subpar service. my boyfriend brought his car in for something and after having been there he kept hearing a rattling when he drove so he brought it back. the mechanic had left a screwdriver under the hood. never going back to this place--very unsatisfied. read more
