I had two hours before my next meeting, so decided to try to get an oil change on the Infiniti which was overdue. After visiting the nearby AAA facility in Hamilton Square which had no openings unless there was a cancellation, I drove the half mile to Jiffy Lube to see about their availability. I was in luck, as although the four bays were occupied, they were just finishing up one job and directed me to pull right up to the one on the far left. I would be taken next. All I wanted was an oil and filter change, but soon realized it wasn't quite as simple as that. First, I had to select the grade of oil - synthetic blend - which had been used in the most recent maintenance appointments at our local repair shop. Slightly more per quart, but I was prepared for that. Second, I walked around to the front of the bay where three workers were busily checking fluid levels, topping off where needed, and evening tire pressure all around. I watched as the air filter was removed from its housing. It was dirty and I knew it should be replaced soon, but when presented for my examination and told the price, I knew I could do it for less in my driveway after a stop at the auto parts store. So, I demurred. Third, I also declined the tire rotation, knowing I would get that done at the annual inspection in a couple of months. I thought the cost quoted me for those tasks exorbitant, especially when the filter wasn't even in stock and I'd have to return to finish the installation. As it was the price seemed about right compared to my local guy, but there was no reason to add to the expense with the overly expensive optional conveniences. As I drove off 20 minutes later, I could feel the the affect from the new slippery viscosity from the oil and filter, and felt good for finally getting the job done. Usually have no problems with this place. Fast and convenient. However my problem came after I had my oil change done. I looked under my car a month after I got my service and saw that my under shield was hanging down. Brought it to a mechanic shop and they said whoever put it back on completely messed up screwing it right and basically put it on crooked. I mean I understand if whoever was changing my oil fast was in a rush because a lot of people were there but when I went it was morning and no one else was there. Scott is really thorough and honest. Went here for an oil change and they replaced a burned out tail light (that I didn't know was burned out) along with some other things that needed to be replaced. I also got a free exterior car wash at the car wash across the street. They also allowed me to stay in the car as they worked on it (which is my preference as I have mobility issues). My mother got brakes and an oil change done here. They told she would be out of there by 7 and then proceeded to mess everything up. It took another two hours after and she is still isn't done. I'm rounding up here but can say that at no time did they inspire my confidence. You know, that warm feeling you experience when you suspect that the work you are having done will be done on time and in a thorough and well thought out way. Lately I've been having all of my car service done at dealerships, and with the added costs come added benefits. But an inopportune flat had me calling them on a Sunday morning. I wanted to see if they could plug it so my day could progress as planned. They said they could so I figured I would also do a synthetic oil change to get that out of the way. It had been years since I've come here so I forgot about pulling around to the back, I parked in front and was told to drive it to the back lot and come back in. Maybe better signage would have prompted me to do this before I parked in front? As I waited a few other customers repeated this mistake. Once" officially" inside it took several minutes to be acknowledged,it was unclear how to actually check in and arrange for service. Eventually I was greeted and we discussed what I needed them to do. It turned out that the only person in this shop who knows how to plug flats was not even in yet. I went ahead with oil change and I guess I saved about $20 from what the dealership charges. During the actual service the tire expert finally arrived( by bus) and proclaimed it unplugable. It was approaching bald so I can't fault them for that. But I can in their poor setup and even worse communication skills. I used them several times but I stopped going there. I cannot trust them. They pressured me to buy unnecessary services for my car. They showed me some printout with "recommended" services, which, when I matched them to the car's manual there where far off. Once my receipt showed "blend synthetic" even though I asked for "full synthetic".... what shall I believe? read more

I find that I am a jiffy luber because of convenience. If there is a wait, I type in another location. I have had one issue with them. I had exchanged my vehicle and went there for an oil change. They did not verify that it was a different car and told me I did not need an oil change. That was the only issue. Ultimately, I got the oil change. They will try to tell you your car needs this or that. I suggest them for oil change and fluids etc. not for repairs. I would see a mechanic for any concerns. But fluids and oil 100% read more

I went here to get a quick oil change about 3 weeks ago. The service was quick and speedy and the staff was helpful. I was in and out in about 45 minutes but only because it was a busy day. Fast forward a week, I bring my car to the dealership to get a routine service check. Upon checkout the maintenance man asks me when I last got an oil change. I told him about a week prior. He told me that whomever changed the oil had not put the oil cap back on and oil had leaked everywhere resulting in me having to pay my dealership for another oil change, making me have to pay a much higher service fee. So while the service at Jiffy Lube was great, the mistake of forgetting to replace my oil cap is a rather serious error for a business specializing in oil changes. I acknowledge this is likely a rare occurrence, thus I would recommend Jiffy Lube to others, but I personally will no longer go there. read more

I love this Jiffy Lube. I have always been able to just drive up, get directed to the back immediately, where a person askes me what I need, or what the trouble is, and then see my car get taken into the work area immediately, if not sooner! (Better than an Urgent Care for people for speediness, and faster than the "We Take Walk-Ins" for nails/hair.) Each time I have been there, the staff have gone out of their way to help me --First time, they got me a part for less than I had paid at a local hardware auto department (a headlight lamp), filled all fluids, got the light installed, and explained everything in less than an hour. --Second time, the OTHER headlamp (on a recently-acquired 12yr.OLD crossover SUV), had gone out. Again, immediate service, diagnosis, and it was found that a simple connection had come uncoupled--the manager himself got it fixed (which took, it seemed, some effort), and then didn't even charge me! Why has no one reviewed this location? What a difference a decade makes. Used to come to this location years ago but changed to the Broad St. Shop. See my review of that place to understand that I had to break ties with them. So....with much trepidation I came here on a busy Saturday. To sum up: I was treated like royalty as soon as I pulled into the lot. Customer service is very high on their list. Recommended some actions but did not push. Free car wash.
