We needed to get a tire repaired on one of our fleet vehicles and was referred to a nearby Mavis in Tuckerton. Upon arriving I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Toni and Denny. They asked me a couple questions and advised me that they'll be happy to take care of my vehicle. I noticed that they had my wife's favorite plant on the counter which was full of positive energy (see picture). It was reassuring to see such care and attention paid to the customer experience and a place like a tire shop. They cared so much about the customer waiting to include healthy plants, then they will most likely do the same with my vehicle. They They were able to repair the tire and recommended an alignment after completing a courtesy safety inspection. I authorized the work and was back on the road in no time flat. once again, I went to Mavis, who installed my tires for me. After getting a flat tire and not being able to loosen the lug nuts, I went back to Mavis. Explain my situation girl said she would go get her boss approached me moving at the speed of a turtle with a giant frown on his face, I asked him can you please loosen my lug nuts he asked me did we put the tires on? I said yes I had new tires installed in January at the Mavis in Little Egg Harbor. He asked me four more times did we put the tires on , I said yes I already told you four times. If you think I'm lying just look it up in the computer at this point he said listen I don't like your attitude I repeated about the eighth time can you please just loosen the lug nut? I'm losing air in my tire as I'm speaking and I need to be able to remove the tire so I can put my spare on. He told me he didn't like my tone on my attitude and I can leave or he was gonna call the police. This is the fifth time I've had to return because I couldn't remove the lug nuts in service and I constantly have to humiliate myself in order to please the customer. How can we help you? What can we do to solve your problem? Will get that right away. I apologize for any inconvenience. That's the definition of customer service. Not some slob who has no sign of emergency no expression of care for your problem, no sense of urgency and when you ask him a question, he blankly stared me in the face I had to say, why are you staring at me? Can you please loosen my lug nuts I was refuse service and had to go to Mastercraft and I wasn't even there for more than 15 minutes. They took the tire off and repaired it. They didn't interrogate me. They sent me to the front desk. The receptionist made up a service ticket. The mechanic took the ticket from the receptionist and immediately pulled my car in and fix the tire. They had three bays and they had six cars lined up in the bays. Mavis Tire had one and they have like five bays. This is why if you drive by there they don't have any business. read more

Biggest scammers ever!!!! whoever wrote good reviews must be a friend or relative to someone who works here...long story short had a flat..took to get fixed along with another tire that had a slow leak... next day tire flat again!! Beware, I took my car here for a simple oil change and I left with it smoking and too dangerous to drive. The car was just checked out by my dealership two weeks before and everything was in good working order. I towed it to the dealership from this lot and the car is deemed to likely be now totaled because the work to be done is so extensive. It has blown head gaskets and transmission damage. My insurance may reimburse me but I'm working thru what to do next with my lawyers and insurance company. I'm not one to give bad reviews but this has put me in an awful position.. read more

Don't even bother going here! Absolute incompetence! I made an appointment and when I arrived I was told they could not honor my appointment they were "too busy." I was given an appointment for the next Saturday at 10:00 am. I arrived at 10:00 and was told they would call me when my oil change was completed. At 3:00 when I could not wait any longer, I went back and my car hadn't been touched. Five hours after my appointment! I would not recommend this place they are terrible! Honestly, I saw all the negative reviews here and on the local facebook group, but decided to give them a shot. Someone had hit my car early one Saturday morning while it was parked and destroyed the tire and rear side of my car. To be completely transparent, a contributing factor I gave them a shot is that Mavis is open on the weekends so I had hoped I would have my car fixed (well, drivable, anyway) for Monday morning...Despite everyone else's experience, I CANNOT say enough good things about them. All the guys were so helpful, polite, and truly concerned about the additional damage my vehicle had sustained, which they realized when they tried to do the alignment. They showed me exactly what was going on, which made it easy to understand and trust they they weren't just out to get extra money out of me. They quickly moved to try to source the part needed and were willing to work with me while I felt I was super needy, (thanks to my insurance claims adjuster). Unfortunately, my insurance wouldn't let them do the work due to the additional cosmetic damage that needed to be repaired as well, wanting to move my car to a certified collision center who would repair the cosmetic and mechanical damage, but they were understanding, reassuring, and willing to do whatever my insurance company needed in order for me to be compensated. I highly recommend them - plus, I ended up needing all four new tires and they were very reasonably priced for the tires and the work/time they spend on my car. read more

No knowledge of wheels and tires. I purchased aftermarket wheels and brought them the wheel to review with them and discuss the tires that I would like to purchase. They (counter person, manager and service tech)looked at the wheel, took measurements, and ordered the tires and scheduled an installation appointment. I brought the wheels in at the scheduled time, waited 20 minutes and was told the tire is not compatible with the wheel. They did not know why and could not offer any suggestion as to an alternative fitment. I was told to Google it myself and figure it out as they don't have internet access. My teenage daughter went in for a tire plug which should have been a 20 dollar job. She was talked into buying 300 dollars worth of tires for a car that isn't even worth that much, and they were for the front when the busted tire was on the back. As soon as she left her brakes failed, and she had to use her emergency brake so she didn't crash. When confronting the manager he told me "nature did it". What a condescending jerk. Amazing how the brakes were fine when she brought the car in, and not when she left, because nature picked that exact moment to make them fail. Also amazing that she has no leak when she got there, but her brake line was messed up and leaking after. I will never use this shop again. I will tell everyone in town not to use this tire shop. Way to destroy your reputation before you have a chance to build a relationship with the members of this small community. Buyer beware. Words can not describe how enraged I am at this predatory business. A teenage girl looking for a tire repair is not there to pad your commission check. On 05/03/2020 I took my car to my local Mavis in Little Egg Harbor, NJ to get and alignment and two new tires. Assistant Manager Tony strongly insisted to replace my drivers side ball joint, claiming that it caused a safety issue with my vehicle. I paid a total of $563 for all services. On the same day after my car was serviced, I noticed a faint knocking sound underneath my driver seat. Over the next three days, as my car was driven to and from Cherry Hill, NJ for work, the knocking became a constant rattling. I brought my car back to Mavis on 05/07/2020 to have the noise examined. While waiting for a technician to look at the car, I was able to remove the bolt (by HAND) which holds the control arm to the frame of the car. I am extremely disappointed with the service which I received, as I have been a valued customer of this Mavis so long as I've lived down here, and because the ASM Tony strongly urged me to replace the ball joint in my Kia because he personally did not feel comfortable taking my car off the lift as it was not safe to drive. I would have hoped that he, who was so concerned with my safety, would have ensured that the vehicle which his technicians serviced and returned to me was safe to be on the road. read more

My 20-year old nephew who is away at college most of the time went to Mavis tires 3 months ago for 2 back tires. Two weeks ago, he took the car to Parkertown and they informed him that there were 2 different size tires on the back, one of them was the wrong size and that they had to put the correct size on for legal reasons. He didn't have an option to drive away with the car with the wrong tire still on it to go and show Mavis Tires. Now Mavis Tires will not make things right by giving my nephew his money back. Not only did Mavis put the wrong size tire on it, they never wrote it down properly - hmm, was that a coincidence? I think not. Whoever is working there obviously can't read, don't know what they're doing and are just disgusting human beings. Not only did they let my 20-year old nephew drive around in danger for 3 months but now they won't make right by him?? What kind of Corporation does that and how do you sleep at night?? It's a $100 and you won't make this right? You put him in DANGER for over 3 months, you're lucky he didn't get into an accident. After spending almost $1900 for maintenance services including shocks, struts, and 4 brand new tires my tire pressure monitoring system light comes on which never happened before so I bring it back to him which he says he checked it out and everything is fine.The light stays off for a day then comes back on again. Fast forward 10 months later (TPMS light still on) my car starts shaking come to find out my back tire has a big bubble bulging from the middle of the tire. Bring it back to the shop to see what they can do about this brand new tire that should've lasted me more than 10 months the condescending garage head Perry goes on to tell me that the tires were past the year (which it wasn't) and would've been covered if it was a faulty tire and says that I hit a pothole and shifted a belt. Then goes on to say that I should've bought the insurance for the tires and they would've been covered. First of all, the vehicle in question is driven the same route 4-5 days a week to and from work including a drop off at a daycare I would've known if I hit a pothole! But nice try trying to blame me for the faulty tire that you sold me!! Then on top of that tried to sell me another tire and insurance again on the other 3 tires! Uhh NO THANKS! Really tried giving this place a shot because I am a local and was looking for a honest place but I'm sorry to say this is not the place. Went in to have two tires replaced, left with a new battery, new brake pads and rotors for the rear. They knew exactly what to do, or so I thought. The car has been running like crap ever since.
