THE BEST Mavis in the area. After having an absolute nightmare of a time at Mavis in Butler they took care of me quickly and efficiently. After letting me know they Butler broke my TPMS sensor and did not inform me. Oakland Mavis also without me asking rebalanced and replaced the poorly attached wheel weights. Found a nail in one of my tires so I went to Mavis in Oakland to fix it since they installed all the tires. I have used Mavis for years as they have installed tires on all of my vehicles and trailers. They are always courteous, friendly and reliable. I will continue to use them but I have to complain about the price. They found a nail in my tire. They plugged it. They didn't take the tire off of the truck and patch it they just jacked the truck up pulled out the nail and plugged it. The price $50.00. I mean come on that's insane. 5 minutes of work for $50.00. If they actually took it off and patched it like I wanted since the tires have 6,000 miles I wouldn't be worried about the price but a plug for $50.00 is just insane and unreasonable. I then asked how much an oil change would be and was quoted $140.00. It's a Chevy Suburban that uses conventional oil so $140.00 is completely insane. I understand everything is expensive in today's world but this is getting out of hand. read more

Just went there today for new tires, oil change and brake inspection. They called me ahead of time and confirmed my tire size. My car was ready when promised and I know they were busy. They also said I did not need new brakes, I had more than 50 percent of the pad left. They could have sold me on new brakes, I would have had no idea but they were honest. I will be back. I hit and curb and the side wall of my vehicle was damaged. I called and they had to special order the tire, which they did for first thing the next day. We were heading on a road trip that next day and they squeezed me in. I showed up and Keith came out and looked at my tire and said, "you don't need a new tire." He explained where I hit there is extra thickness and I didn't need the tire. I was floored. Seriously? You ordered me a tire and squeezed me in and then told me I didn't need it, nor that I had to pay for it. I will never go anywhere else for tires. What a breath of fresh air. Honesty and integrity. I got into my car and after driving a minute a message came on the screen of my VW Tiguan indicating low tire pressure. I stopped by a gas station thinking I needed air. Nope..my tire was flat. So I pumped it up and limped Over to Mavis. Now I knew my tires needed to be replaced soon but I was leaving on vacation the next day driving a few hundred miles. Mavis was sooo great. They took my car in right away to diagnose the issue. Of course I had a large nail in my tire and it was not able to be plugged. Knowing I was leaving on vacation the next day they worked to get me two new tires. The tires were competitively priced as I looked online while waiting for my car. I spent over $2500 on new tires and alignment. Unfortunately both cars were returned filthy! the mechanic must have put extra brake dust and grease all over his elbows, feet and hands because it was all over the steering wheel, door, armrest and floor! 3 times in a row!!!!!! I called on Saturday morning and asked if they could get my car done the next day (Sunday...yes, they're open). I knew they had to order parts so I told them I would drop it off mid-day (Saturday). I dropped it off a little after lunch (Saturday) and was told at that time they wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday. Not sure how that happened but ok. I left it there anyway (Saturday) and told them I needed it Monday afternoon. They said, "Not a problem". I should have known there would be a problem. No call all day Monday to tell me I'm not getting my car back on Monday afternoon as stated. I called at 3:00p and again at 6:00p. Still not done. They said it will be done "sometime tomorrow" (Tuesday). Never again. Never. read more

I have recommended many people here and have serviced my vehicles here for years. Unfortunately I will never go back. I got 4 wheels and tires mounted and balanced, they tried to change the price after the install was done. Then, they used the old lug nuts and kept the new ones that were in the box, they said there weren't any in there. Keith really helped us out when my son got a flat tire. When we purchased tires for my sons car last fall, we paid an extra $15 per tire (I believe that was the price) for a full guarantee to replace the tire if something went wrong, including any type of blow out. When I called Mavis to take advantage of our warranty, Kieth immediately verified we purchased the warranty and then assured me my son would get a brand new tire costing us only the mounting fee. He told me he did not have that exact tire in stock but it would be delivered from another store to be installed later that day. And so it was. Wonderful service! Made 9 am appt for oil change came back at 10 car not even started!! Why make an appointment!??!!?? Waste of time!

I went there to change my tires. First of all, front desk, Ryder and young lady was rude. When she smiles her front teeth are horrifying. Not very polite lady. When i went to pick up my car, rim caps were broken looks like techs was trying to take off rim caps with screw driver. I complaint about it. Supervisor went to check my car. Came back and started to defend techs even with talking to them. He offered me to look at cameras. I agreed that he said that he cannot show me cameras and i have to come back on Monday. Then i mentioned to supervisor about the front desk to be rude and his reaction was " whatever ". In short, i will never go back to these nasty people. Came here the other day for a flat repair. While they couldn't take care of that day due to it being very last minute, George, the front desk staff was very helpful. He called around other Mavis until he found one that could take me on the spot. He then proceeded to fill my tire for me so I could make it there. I've been to STS in Oakland many times. Now it's Mavis, and my lug nuts have mysteriously gone missing, so they put some no frills lugs on my car.... a little suspicious about that.... I had put on a new set of 20in wheels and tires on my car and one of the stem valves of the wheels was broken. I was in a bad spot, the car tire was constantly leaking air and I had to go to a graduation party that evening with my car being my only driver. I frantically called tire places around the area for help but they said they would not get to me within hours or even days. I called Mavis and they said they could fit me in a couple of hours since they were busy. I settled due to my circumstances and agreed to show up but I had to get the car there at least before it succumbed to its demise of running with a flat tire. As I arrived I quickly entered the building and was greeted by a very nice gentleman. I recognized his voice from the phone and said I was the one with the issue before. The place was nowhere near as busy as he stated over the phone and made it seem like I was at his mercy to fit me in on time that day. Once I was talking to him they immediately got to work on my vehicle and got me out of there in about 30 minutes. The service after arriving there was much better than the impression I got over the phone. It did not seem like they wanted my business although they were completely different in person. I am grateful that I had the outcome of what happened but was very put off by the demeanor and reliability of the call prior. They did a great job for my tire stem replacement and have had no issues. read more

8am appointment this morning for a tire rotation. Tech calls me 2 hours later, (which is when I was expecting the job to be finished) saying he recommends new tires. Bro, you kidding me?! I fully understand where the lifeline of my tires are. Next time when someone asks you to do a job, just do it, not try to rip them off for more money! Crooks! Conveniently located next to a diner so while you wait for service, you can sit somewhere decent for coffee and food. I've been here twice now. The assistant manager has been very friendly and nice. I like that everyone at the desk says hello. What I don't like is that on my first visit, there was a lot of upselling which I turned down, no problem, no extra pressure after that..but one thing was automatically added to my bill which I noticed right away and asked to have removed. Again, no problem, but I had to ask and if gone unnoticed, it would definitely have been charged. I was conscious of price on this job because I comparison shopped tires and didn't want to spend a lot this time. Second go round, brought in my husbands car for a patch. Turned down additional services as his lease is due back in 1-2 months. Asked for a price and to be called when it was complete. Never got the call after an hour at the diner. Walked back and saw that the car was done! Also saw bill was a few bucks higher than quoted. Only a few dollars but the principal of it bothered me. When I asked why he said the size of the tire. The size of the tire? It's a patch! Size doesn't matter plus he knew what size the tire was when I dropped the car off - I told him it was an Equinox plus he walked over to take a look at it. I looked at the bill, they didn't charge as a patch it was charged somewhat differently as per the description therefore a different/higher price. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Again, I'm not making a fuss over a few bucks difference in price. Also, minor detail but the patched tire they filled a little too much and was inflated more than the other 3 tires. Not a major deal but for a tire center, it should be just right I think. I have better places to go next time. read more

Brought car in to be inspected because I thought there was a nail in tire ... had them check out. No nail, just debris embedded in groves after being air blown out. Went to this Mavis location originally because of a flat tire. Unfortunately, it couldnt be repaired as the hole was on the side wall. I ended up buying 4 new tires and getting them installed there, as one tire had a bulge on the side wall and was unevenly run down. The original price quote was higher than what I had researched. They honored the competitor's price. It took 3 days to get all tires in and then they told me that there was a 3-hour wait. That didn't make me too happy and the rep on the phone told me to come in and that they would accommodate me as quickly as possible. After I arrived it took an hour to change all tires, spare tire and equipment was stowed properly, the two used tires I kept were wrapped in bags in the trunk, and tire pressure system in my car was reset. All in all good service that was done in a timely manner after I made clear that a 3-hour wait was not acceptable as they dont take appointments. read more

He was awesome , walked me through the process and set me up with a same day appointment. Dropped the car off and I got a call from him shortly after letting me know that we would need a new tire.
