I have taken mine and my wife's vehicle to the Quakertown store for various services. Have had them replace my tires and brakes all around my vehicle. However, when it comes to having your oil changed and tire rotation they fail. On three different time I requested for them to rotate my tires. The first time I was not certain that they rotated and excepted it, however the second time I marked my tires to see if they did the rotation. Went to get my truck and seen that they didn't do the rotation. When I called them out on it. The store manager went out to speak with the service manager as to why it was not done. He stated that he checked the tires and they looked good and no need for rotation. I told the store manager it was not there place to make that choice. They said they were sorry and would get my truck in as soon as possible. I then had to wait an hour to finally get what I requested. On 5/4/26 this morning I gave the Quakertown store another chance. This time I waited for my truck. I observed they changed the oil and filter, but however again did not rotate my tires. I got the store manager. He said he was up from the Montgomery store location and would find out why the service tech didn't do the rotation. Thes service tech stated he checked the tires and he felt they didn't need to be rotated. The visiting store manager had the tech do the rotation. I have to give the manager in charge credit he refused to charge me for the oil change and was very sorry that I was treated the way I was. I will never take any my vehicle to any Mavis tire. When I called Mavis tire Cooperated and explained what happened I was requesting a call back I was informed they are a private corp. they would deal with the store, and no one would be calling me back. We needed front brakes and rotors and Ciocca quoted us over $700 and Mavis did it for around $486. they got us in fast and had it done while I waited. I called ahead to see if they could assist and they said yes of course so we got towed there by AAA (also awesome service). This is also a holiday weekend: the worst timing imaginable. Although the tire shop didn't have the specific replacement tire we needed in stock (because it's new and not a tire they typically handle, the team went above and beyond to help us. They quickly and professionally got our spare tire on, free of charge, and were incredibly kind, helpful, and caring throughout the entire experience. In a stressful situation, their support made all the difference. You don't always expect this level of service and compassion when you're far from home, especially on a holiday weekend. Our car had a problem on the way to a hiking trip. Before we got here, we visited 2 different car shops that were too busy to tend to us, let alone just check to see what the issue regardless of how busy they were. Bob happily looked at our problem and checked out our car and internally had a mechanic look at it. We were in and out and back on our adventure for the day within an hour-hour and a half. They are terrible. Historically used them for tires and then decided that I would try them for an oil change because they had a coupon for a tire change and rotation. First, they never did the tire rotation. Second, they charged me double than the stated price. Even the normal additional charges (like a disposal fee) were significantly higher than what I have paid previously. I called and talked to the manager and they said they would resolve the issue but then I called back several times and the manager was mysteriously never there. I dropped off my car on Saturday night and received a call first thing Sunday morning. I had two tires that had nails in them and needed to be repaired as soon as possible. The manager understood my urgency and said it would not be a problem. I received a call back in an hour that my car was ready. Bad experience just lately here. My husband went twice and dropped his car off for an inspection. BOTH times and WITH an appointment he picked his car up at closing time NOT TOUCHED. I figured this can't happen again so I scheduled an appointment for an inspection on Monday for the following Sunday. The whole week went by and I even got a confirmation of the appointment. Late Saturday afternoon I get a call asking if I can reschedule because "there's no one there to do it". He put me in the book for Thursday of this week. I hung up the phone and immediately called Pep Boys who were accommodating and kept my appointment for Sunday. Afterwards I called Mavis back and tried to cancel my appointment. I told him I was going somewhere else and he said "ok call us when you want to reschedule your inspection" ----huh??? He clearly was not even listening to what I said. Monday morning I open my email and there's an email stating that I "didn't show". Whaaaaaatt. Get it together! We won't be returning. Three strikes. You're out. Why does it take over two hours to swap out 4 tires? I make an appointment for my car to have 4 new tires to be put on. I arrive a few minutes early so the work can start on the agreed upon time. I'm expecting maybe 15/min a tire. two hours later still waiting..... do we not have the proper tools and equipment to do the job? Surely this store has power tools to remove 16 lug nuts and a tire changer. i suggest the store communicate properly and inform their customers that they're to incompetent to complete the job in a timely fashion. that way people aren't wasting their time waiting around in a lobby. read more

They had tires in stock which I was thankful for but I waited for 4 hours for them to put 2 tires on, so much for an appointment time. Then then told me my shocks were leaking and my break light was out which it wasn't. I just needed 2 tires put on. When I denied the shocks the gentleman told me his hands were covered in grease which is funny because he never left the front desk. No urgency at all for the guys in the back. Much like Greg below, we purchased 4 brand new tires for sons car just 2 years ago.... the two front tires are bald and they won't stand behind their warranty. Bad business practice. We spent hours here waiting on the tires in the first place and years later the tires are no good. Find a better place. (You have got to be kidding me that this owner seriously is telling me that we should expect 2 tires (both front tires) to be no good in less than two years because they were not rotated .... these are 60,000 mile rated tires that wore out in less than 20,000 miles... I've been driving a long time and have never EVER had tires wear out like this when we got behind on maintenance which by the way happens & would have been done had it not been for covid.... you Sir seem to forget we've been on lockdown for nearly a year?? By the way at the install they couldn't get old valve stem out and so left it... or something to that effect...I remember it taking hours and them trying to explain but by that time it was dark and we had a 45 minute drive home so we just threw our hands up just wanting to be done... and it wasn't until my son went to drive to college that the tire was found to be flat ... we took it in to schnecksville and they wanted to charge a new warranty fee for a new tire to replace the one they wrecked by using the old valve stem....the entire experience was a disaster... but don't listen to me.... judge for yourself OR READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS. These tires were Cooper evolution touring tires... the total bill was 603.83... how many expect this after 2 years?) people rethink these warranties.... seriously ... they will find anything to void it if they can. This girl right here. But I suppose it was a blessing in disguise, because this situation introduced me to this place, and the service was so top notch I feel compelled to write a review. Awesome! I hit a pothole and had to have my Mini towed there after hours. I called to let them know why it was there the next day and had my car ready that afternoon. Corey was great! Very nice and a quick turnaround. He kept me in the loop and suggested things but didn't make me feel like other car places when you just don't have the money to replace everything. I called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment for my vehicle and have a part ordered. Both the part and appointment were set for Monday. So, I dropped my car off Sunday. I then called Monday at 1:00pm, and they said my vehicle was going on the lift next. When I went to the store at closing, it was not touched. They then promised to have it done Tuesday. Again, I came at closing and it had not been touched. Their excuse was that there were too many walk-ins, but I had an appointment since Saturday... Went in for an emergency tire repair - driving my 8 year old daughter to her grandparents when all of a sudden, the tire pressure alert came on and dropped quickly from 32 psi to 6 psi in 5-6 mins, was passing mavis and pulled in quickly for emergency help. Guy at counter said I would have to wait 4 days just to see my car. They give me a quote for 4 new tires, 329 + tax. I get there, they put my car up and take off the wheels ( I'm here for over an hour at this point, which is obviously not the issue, but I'm simply stating how long they knew my vehicle was here and were working on it ) and then, and only then, do they tell me "Oh hey. Downright rude today. Counter guy not wearing a mask. I asked if his workers would be wearing a mask and gloves in my car. I explained that I am on chemo and have a compromised immune system. This was not a confrontational encounter, but his response was to tell me to go somewhere else. No concern or accomodation. He defininetly did not like be called on the fact that he was not wearing a mask and his shop guys were not and yet he tells me that they will. He told me to leave if I didnt like it. OK then, I did. Coming here is always a great experience. The staff is warm and friendly. They take our car immediately, and they're always finished with it earlier than expected, even with multiple repairs. Most garages make you wait to bring it in, then wait even longer wait for parts. This garage is always on top of everything and is fully staffed. Poor quality, No integrity, Does not stand behind their warranty. I purchased 2 tires from Mavis in Feb 2018; I was upsold by Tim, the store manager. Tim stated the tires had a 55,000 mile warranty. A year later and 21,000 miles, the tread is at 3/32 (2/32 the tire will not pass inspection). When I returned with my complaint, Tim's offer was for me to pay another $95, which included mounting and balance charges (I paid $170 for 2 tires new). When I told him that was unacceptable, he repeated himself and would not be reasonable. I reached out to Mavis corporate, where I was ignored! They didn't even have the courtesy to tell me to go away. Summary: Mavis corporate culture does not concern themselves with warranty, customer satisfaction or integrity. Went in for a simple tire rotation with a specific appointment. Took them 30 minutes to rotate the tires and then an additional 45 minutes waiting for a tire delivery truck to move out of the way so that I could leave. When I asked if they could just pull up the delivery truck by 10 feet so that I did not have to keep waiting, the very rude attendant said, "We have a business to run, we can't move that truck!" Their unwillingness to move the truck caused me to be late for a business appointment. Moving the truck would literally have been a five second operation. I guess "running a business" does not consider the customer at all. I will never go back to this place for tires or anything else and would discourage anyone else from doing so either. I brought my truck here to get a ball joint replaced and to get inspected. It was already inspected by another shop who told me I needed a ball joint in order to pass inspection. After korey looked at my truck he explained to me why I didnt need a ball joint and inspected my vehicle and had me back on the road very quickly. I know this place is busy and ive seen some reviews about having to wait but i dont care. Honesty in my book goes a huge way. They easily could of charged me for this work and I would never have known the real problem( alittle grease) korey and his honesty saved me 350 dollars. I dont care how long I have to wait. Unscrupulous! I brought my car to the Quakertown location to get it inspected. It passed emissions, but they wanted to charge over $600 for two struts in order to get a safety inspection sticker. The exact words were "they're leaking so bad it looks like a can of oil was poured over your struts". Even though I knew they would charge me for the safety inspection anyway without even road testing it, I declined to get the work done so I could get a second opinion. I bought the car recently and I know this car's history. The car handles fine with no strut noise evident. I told them I would be pissed off if it passed the safety inspection at another shop. The guy at the counter told me that my comment was "uncalled for". I beg to differ, it was totally called for since the car passed with no problem at another inspection shop. In the past I never had a problem with Mike, but I do not trust the new guy behind the counter and won't ever use Mavis Tire again. Coincidentally, there is a similar unfavorable review concerning inspection/struts posted here, so this seems to be a negative pattern of operation at this location.
