these people are literal angels. i brought my altima in because it was making a loud screeching noise and they checked everything really thoroughly. it turned out my car had multiple serious issues and they were completely honest about all of it. my brakes were literally on the verge of failing and rubbing against my rotors, and they told me straight up that it was dangerous to drive; which honestly may have saved me from a future accident. they took the time to explain everything in a way that actually made sense and were very clear about what needed to be fixed immediately vs what could wait. they treated me and my mom with so much kindness and respect and even helped us out with pricing, which they didn't have to do. i genuinely felt like they cared about my safety and not just money. i can't recommend them enough. read more

I went in for tires, decided to get an oil change too and I was told I needed brakes, that they were at 10%, when I asked if I could wait, they said I should atleast get the back done. I agreed, because they made it sound crucial and dangerous. I went back for front brakes and my car was still sitting in the lot at 2pm not even looked at yet. I asked for my key and left. Thank God! Went to another mechanic and he said "YOU DON'T NEED BRAKES, YOU'RE AT 60%!" I will never go to Mavis again or recommend it to anyone! read more

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. I originally had no issue at this location but seems they are incompetent like the other locations. Went for an oil change and got done too quick. They said they did a "full oil change and filled all fluids." Ummm not the case. I called this morning when I saw my car said low window washer fluid. That's supposed to be topped off with an oil change but maybe in a lazy Biden world it's not done correctly. The thing is if they didn't do that how do you know they do everything else like they are supposed to do?! I will NEVER go there again. The fat girl who answered said they don't do that anymore unless the customer asks. Well when I'm told I'm getting a full oil change with all fluids filled I wouldn't ask. Such liars! read more

Oil change is what I went in for and got red carpet treatment! I settled in for what I thought would be a few hour wait but was in and out in 30 minutes. They looked over my car and everything was great and I was on my way! Matt stood by his word on the quoted price. Which was lower than the dealership I normally went too. Went in for leaking tire and had been told by another shop that 3 tire sensors needed to be replaced. Melissa checked us in and cheerfully answered all of our questions. The service mechanic, Dante, determined that it was simply a leaking valve stem, and quickly replaced it. He also checked the tire sensors and determined that they were all functioning properly. We expected to spend over $300, but only needed to pay for a valve stem. Melissa and Dante were pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. This is the only place we'll consider in the future for our vehicles. read more

My tire needed to be patched, I figured taking it to Mavis was my best option considering they are a tire place. I called and customer service was great. However, I left my car there for 4/5 hours and when I returned back to it, my tire had little to no air in it. Which was already a red flag. I questioned it, but did not think much of it. Took it to Wawa to replace the air and later in the day took it to a friend to have a second look because it was once again, losing air. Come to find out the hole was never repaired. I find it absurd that a tire place could not fulfill the request of patching a tire and lied about the fact that it was patched. read more

Yep...2 visits...2 cars.....1 review Had to come back twice because they couldn't do back to back vehicles, at the time. The wait time alone is undescribable.... 1 hr for an oil change.. they say they go to an indepth overview of your vehicle, this is the reason for the 1 hr process. They look at your alignment, shocks, tires.. basically a full service , the works you might say to ensure your saftey. They do analayze and suggest things what your car needs or may need in the near future. The price could get up there... the waiting room could use a good mopping, some cleaning is needed... If they have a sanitation crew that comes in when they close i do feel bad for them. They do have vending machines so if you are thirsty or need something to snack on i suggest you go with that option, They do have a coffee pot out there for you, but its like rolling the dice after seeing the floors and counters... would you risk getting something.If you need to use the restroom.. use a whole roll to cover the floor and the seat if you are not good at hovering. Other than the waiting room and bathroom being a disaster the staff is helpful the mechanics are knowledgable.. sometimes i think they need to hire more cause the place does get crowded and busy. read more

My husband waited at least 5 hours (after being told it would be about 2 hours) to get tires put on his vehicle. After that time, they still hadn't even looked at his vehicle. There were several mechanics there and basically they were doing nothing but goofing off. Never going here again. read more

I could not give Mavis Discount Tires of Depford a higher review. I had an issue with the tire valve of my 2021 4Runner. I called a few local tire places who had a long wait list. Mavis could see me immediately. I brought the vehicle in, explained the issue and knew that I was talking with someone who had solid knowledge about my specific problem. I drove into the garage, the tech took at look and then explained the specific problem. He talked me though the solution and was able to execute immediately. I had complete understanding of the problem and the solution. It was extremely quick and I drove away with confidence that the problem had been solved. I would return to Mavis tires for future service and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for knowledgable techs, great customer service and confidence driving away. read more

I had every int on spending $285 for one tire he looked at the tread on the tire and said it still looked good to let him check for a nail or some other ubstruction he found a nail in the tire. pulled it and plugged it. and charged me $27. I took my truck in for a routine oil change 2 weeks ago. A few days later I noticed a puddle of oil in my driveway. I took it back and they tried another drain plug. Still leaks. Took it to a local mechanic, he said the threads were destroyed from cross-threading the plug. Required a new oil pan and labor for $500. A routine oil change here for $100 turned into a $600 bill. I'll never go this garage again. I highly recommend you avoid it too. read more

I'm so glad I found an auto place that I can trust. The staff are always friendly, the place is always clean, and whenever they inform me of something, it's just that - giving me the information - not insisting I spend more money. This last trip I was getting tires on, and when I was checking out, the guy said, "Your wiper blades were pretty worn, and it's supposed to snow tomorrow, so we threw some on there for you." I showed up 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment for a routine oil change and a tire check (as I believe one tire has a slow leak). The person at the desk told me that the work could not be done tonight. This left me confused, as I had called just a few hours ago to confirm my appointment and nothing was mentioned of a delay or the possibility that the work could not get done tonight. The customer's time was not valued or even considered in this case. What a disappointment, as I have visited this location on numerous occasions. I will take my business elsewhere. Showed up on a Saturday to have our car aligned, as it was shaking a bit at about 70 mph on the highway. Had to reschedule, as there was a 2 hour wait, even though we were on time for our appointment. Came back on Weds. to have our car aligned and was told the rims were too bad to balance the wheels. Instead of telling us that we really should get new rims, an attempt was made to balance the wheels. The car now shakes uncontrollably at 55 mph now and we were blamed for having beat up rims. Sorry, but why would you touch the rims at all if they need replacing? "I've been doing this since I was 16, and I'm now 41"...that much experience should have told you NOT to attempt to balance the beat up rims. Somehow that was the "lesser of two evils", because we had paid for a year of alignment services. Manager had the audacity to tell me that he was "skipping out on dinner with his family", as I stood in the train station, not yet home from a day at the office. Sorry bud, but my wife shouldn't be calling me, telling me that the car no longer feels safe to drive, after SHE DROVE IT TO YOU just fine. Stay away. This place is not worth the headache. I second all of the amazing reviews of the Deptford branch of Mavis Discount Tire!!! Kevin and his team went above and beyond the call of duty helping me recently! I live in California and was on vacation, heading down to Brigantine this past Monday afternoon to visit a friend. I got onto 76 East from Philly and pretty quickly saw a low tire pressure warning for TWO tires on my rental car. I was pretty freaked out, not knowing the area at all and with dark approaching. I pulled into Mavis, explained the situation to Kevin and he dropped everything to put my car on a rack and look for the problem. It turns out I had a screw embedded in one tire and a small hole in the other. I might very well have been totally stranded and screwed (sorry for the bad pun!) if not for Kevin and his team's help. I was back on the road within less than an hour of my arrival and made it to Brigantine and back safely! Kevin is a prince among men and I would highly recommend his shop. i drive 35-45 THOUSAND miles a year for business. made an appt. to have my tires rotated, balanced and aligned, plus an oil change. told the attendant how important it was that the work be done well because of the milage i do and how little time i have to have work done. she said, not a problem, it will be done well. needless to say, the balance was WORSE after they serviced my vehicle.
