This place is connected with Riposo coffee. As i was waiting for my coffee I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Bun. I tried a sample of the pumpkin bun last time i was here and it was tasty, soft, and warm. The one I ordered was $10... It wasn't warmed up, it was messy, hard & cold. For $10 I would have to expected my bun to be warmed up at least..... The icing was just slapped on, i don't think there was any sauce on it, like the one in the photo. I didn't even eat the bun. It was truly a disappoint for $10 The service was okay

Tried this place based off TikTok! It was easy to find and had ample parking. They change their menu often and have a couple of flavors to choose from including an OG. My friend and I go the pumpkin spice latte and apple cider doughnut during one visit and the coffee caramel during a different visit. The apple cider doughnut was delicious and kind of tasted like an apple pie. The pumpkin spice latte had a strong pumpkin and little more on the sweet side than the apple cider doughnut. The coffee caramel one has a good balance between the coffee taste and sweet. The coffee flavoring isn't overpowering. All the buns are large enough for two servings or split with another person.

One of the best cinnamon buns I've tried! They weren't too bready and the icing was not overly sweet! Parking was super easy and staff was incredible with trying to help us decide what to get they also give you instructions on how to heat them up to be able to eat them later!!

We drove south to try Mav's Top Buns after seeing them on Instagram. Worth the drive. So creamy and yummy with unique flavors. Nothing like it. I'd drive here again in a heartbeat. When you bring them home reheat in microwave and it's life changing. Love this place!

So I have been back to Mavs 2 or 3 more times since I wrote my original review. I have to say the Jersey corn buns are my new favorite. They are not overly sweet, has a hint of corn and just are totally delicious. The banana and also the lemon blueberry buns are good, but not something I'd get again-just not my thing. I'm not into fruits with my sweets. The Oreo bun was excellent, as well as the I think it was dulce de leche-I think-but could be wrong. My second new favorite. The birthday one (with the sprinkles was good). This week I tried the cannoli and hot fudge buns. The cannoli is now my third favorite. The hot fudge has a lot going on but it was good.

Mav's Top Buns delivers with large and tasty buns. I enjoyed the different flavors like banana pudding. I enjoyed their special flavors of the week more than the OG cinnamon roll. The OG is delicious but I preferred the creativity and flavor profiles of the other flavors I tried, which one could argue if they could still be called cinnamon buns (since they didn't have cinnamon in them). All in all, they are expensive but I would buy the buns again if the flavors of the week sound tasty.

I've been wanting to come here for months now, and I finally got the opportunity when I was in the area. I fully anticipated there being a line, but thankful that there was none. Staff was very patient as I asked questions about the different flavors. It seems like they have a rotating list of them that is different from week to week. When I went, they had lavender, honey, Oreo, birthday cake, OG, pineapple express, and caramel coffee. The originals are nine dollars each and all other others are $10 so it is a bit pricey. They did inform that the buns can be frozen and reheated and they still come out tasty. I bought four of the six. My favorite was probably the OG. And even though they're probably not meant to be, I did eat one of the buns, four days later after keeping it in the fridge. Popped it in the microwave for a few seconds, and it was still delicious so they hold up well. There isn't seating inside so these are definitely to go. And there is a coffee counter in as well if you're looking to grab some. I will definitely be back. I liked how they also included heating and storing instructions directly on the packaging.

My favorite Cinnabons! I feel like it is so easy to make a pretty good cinny roll. But I also feel like it is very difficult to make an exceptional one. Mav's top buns have exceptional buns of so many different and amazing flavors. Highly recommend.

I've been stalking MTB's instagram account for months, and finally decided to take the plunge (aka the 45 minute drive one-way) to get some treats for Easter weekend. I was lucky enough to order everything I wanted during the Easter drop (make an account on BeerBroadcast prior to the drop!), by refreshing the page right at 8p and anxiously watching the slow website loading from too many people on it at the same time. The OG big buns were $35 for a box of 4, $38 for the lemon blueberry buns, and $45 for the nutella babka. It is pricey, but it is worth it for the buns. The nutella babka is heavy in weight, like 3 pounds I'd say, but I could only eat a small sliver at a time because it was too rich with Nutella for me. The buns though, the buns is where the hype is validated. They are big, pillowy, chewy, with the perfect amount of icing and taste fresh even after microwaving them for 30 seconds after being in the freezer for a week (not that long but they're that good that I wanted to eat more asap). I'd definitely buy the buns again, but am hoping for them to start shipping soon!

Secured the goods on a rainy Sunday

I've been following Mav's Top Buns on social media for a few months now and finally got my chance to check then out. This business started as somewhat of a pop-up type of business, doing pre-orders and allowing customers to pick them up at a designated location. They recently opened up their brick and mortar store in Middletown. It's located in the same strip mall as Bottle King, which isn't hard to miss as you're riding down 35. I arrived on a rainy Sunday morning, shortly before 9 am. If you've been following them on social media, there is a lot of hype about this place. They usually have a line out the door and usually sell out quickly. I was hoping to get there as soon as they opened at 8 or very soon after. I overslept and prayed that the weather would allow things to be in my favor. It was! When I got there, they still had pretty much everything available, except the Nutella babka. I was originally planning on getting two boxes of buns, but I realized that would be too much for me and one other person in my home. I decided to go with the OG Cinnamon Buns. Now...I'm sure many of you are familiar with good ole Cinnabon, so if I had to compare, I'll lay out a few differences. When you get the buns from Mav's Top Buns, they're already pre-made, so you're not going to see anyone behind the counter making fresh cinnamon rolls or putting them in a box for you after you order. However, they provide you with reheating instructions. You can buy the buns in boxes of 4 large buns or 8 mini buns. The prices of the boxes ranged from $34 to $36. It's been a minute since I've visited Cinnabon, but I feel like Mav's is a little pricier. However, they could be fairly close in price. As for the buns themselves, they were pretty tasty. However, I think I would've liked a little more of the cinnamon filling in the middle. I absolutely loved the vanilla bean cream cheese frosting on top and thought it was the perfect amount, not too much and not too little. Would I go back? Absolutely! I love supporting local businesses and Mav's usually has a variety of different bun flavors each week. It's almost like the Crumbl of cinnamon buns. You never know what flavors they'll put out each week. They still allow you to do pre-orders and pick ups which may be a good idea to avoid missing out on what you want. Another bummer is they're only open on the weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 11 am. I'm thinking that may change over time. They're still fairly new.

Just ok! Sadly I didn't think they were the best I ever had... I was able to grab 4 while they were doing a pop-up a few months ago in JC. I'm glad I tried it! They do many it easy to order online so you're guaranteed to get something which I liked or you can wait in line and pray! Lol the BunCult for this company is real! I'm so happy for this family who worked their butts off - maybe the plain isn't the way to go? I'd be willing to get a specialty flavor or item bakery item! Def recommend heating it up! But sadly wont be going out of my way for the plain classic bun... I guess I've become a cinnamon bun snob.. :/

I ordered two hard rolls . They looked great. Got home and just now was going to make lunch with them. I have to say so disappointed. I asked for two "hard" rolls and boy did I get them. They were more like day old hard rolls . Instead of being crispy they were rotted it seemed. Completely fell apart, crumbled at touch . No crunch or crispiness and my fingers pushed thru the outside surfaces like going into cardboard. Crumbled and felt so stale under these circumstances had to be at the minimum day old left out dried up rolls. I had heard they went down a bit down the "old" Dixie Lee, but this was embarrassing. I decided I wanted to treat myself to a little cake. I usually visit a local bakery for cakes, mini desserts, and cannolis. It's generally pretty good, although it can be a bit hit or miss depending on what you order. While searching online for bakeries nearby, this place came up with stellar reviews. I was surprised to see it was only about an 11-minute drive from my house, so I decided to make the trip. The bakery was set up much like a classic neighborhood bakery, with beautiful cakes displayed along one side and cases filled with mini desserts, pastries, cookies, and cannolis. While chatting with the staff, I mentioned the bakery I usually go to. That's when they told me that bakery actually gets its cakes from Normandie. I found that fascinating because I had always assumed every bakery made its own cakes from scratch. Suddenly, a lot made sense. I had originally planned on buying a small birthday cake, but since it was only for two people, I decided to put together an assortment of mini desserts instead. I picked up tiramisu, carrot cake, lemon cake, and several other mini cakes. Every single one was outstanding. Not one dessert missed the mark. The carrot cake was moist, the tiramisu was perfectly balanced, and the lemon cake was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, high-quality, and thoughtfully made. The minis were slightly smaller than the ones I'm used to buying elsewhere, but honestly, they were the perfect size. Now that I know where those cakes are actually coming from, I'll happily make the extra 11-minute drive and buy directly from the source. This will absolutely be my new go-to bakery for birthdays, special occasions, and hostess gifts. A wonderful birthday discovery that turned into finding my new favorite bakery.
