I was driving by randomly and decided to stop for a sandwich. I chose a sesame seeded bagel with ham and provolone. Bagels are large and the cold cuts are boars head. It was a decent sized sandwich and very good. I was hoping it came with a pickle or small side salad but just the sandwich. Service was attentive and quick. We live extremely close to Bagel Boyz and being a lover of bread, I hold my judgement of bagels near and dear to my heart. (I will not go to Gems; and prior to Bagel Boyz opening, I would constantly drive 20+ minutes to Bagel Masters for a quality bagel.) Happy to report that I no longer have to do that because Bagel Boyz has quite large bagels, that are always fresh! Some things to be noted: the inside is not quite large, so I recommend take out. They're often busy and sell out fast too, so I highly suggest calling ahead- especially on a weekend. Pros: Bagels and sandwiches are always fresh. The size of their bagels is LARGE. I prefer a big, fluffy bagel, so their bagels are perfect for me. My husband gets the Kevin Special and is always pleased with the quality and portion. They also have a set price for sandwiches, which i think makes it easier overall for the customer. Cons: My biggest gripe is when I order specialty cream cheese, i often have to order a side of it in addition to this, because there is not a lot on it. (I do not prefer a large amount, but if I'm being charged for speciality cream cheese, either put it on both sides, or put enough on the one side where it covers the whole bagel...) They also sell out of bagels fast. (For example: I walked over at 11 A.M. for a multigrain bagel and they're already sold out on a Tuesday.) Wow! Finally a great bagel near by! Actually I only tried a bialy but it was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just as it should be. They also make them a nice size so you don't feel like you're being ripped off with the teeny tiny bagels most places sell. Actually they were so big the bagels didn't even fit in our bagel cutter. I usually cut a dozen to fries for the kids during the week abs I couldn't shove these big bagels into the cutter :-). Best bagel in central Jersey! (In terms of flavor, price, friendliness) I just moved to this area and did a sweep of all nearby bagel places and this place is legit. (I always order Fresh, baked on premise and none of this BS cash only or 4-5% surcharge for credit card nonsense that other businesses around here are pulling (i smell tax evasion). I say a good bagel is one that doesn't need any toasting or schmear. You can just dig into the pillowy dough and then eat the slightly crisp outer layer plain. Ruined my day. We just went in there and got three everything bagels, one pork roll, egg, and cheese, and the other two porkroll and cheese, with one porkroll and cheese toasted, let's just say they ruined everything. No pun intended. They somehow gave me, the one who ordered first a huge plain egg wash bagel, I hate egg wash and I hate bread unless it's covered in seasoning. I almost cried, it ruined my day and week. Then they toasted one bagel like they were supposed to but labeled the toasted one as untoasted and the toasted one as toasted. I found the bagels to be some of the best in the area. They are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the inside. They're so fresh that they don't need to be toasted (I only asked for toasted bagels if they've been out too long and are getting hard). The specialty ones are really good as well. I ordered a bagel for takeout from here today - specifically an egg bagel with cream cheese. I'm almost sorry to have to write this, given I attempted to call right after to let them know. I opened up my bagel to wipe some off the cream cheese (I'm not big on a lot of cream cheese,) and when I did I found several pieces of what it looked like beard hair. In shock, I opened the other side of the bagel and saw a long hair. When I tried explaining there was no empathy or shock to my finding. This was my first time finding several pieces of hair in/on my food. I've gone in for a toasted bagel with cream cheese several times and they never toast it. Almost bought a muffin once but they don't look very appetizing so I passed. I ordered a sandwich that was on the menu for $6.99 and for whatever reason was charged $10 with no explanation. I dont like to cause a scene so I just paid for the sandwich and left. It was not worthy of the $10 price tag. The sandwich was extremely dry, the one cheese slice was so thin I couldn't taste it and the mayo I asked for was literally the size of a pea.
