Since he didn't have a new replacement part on hand, he installed a good used part to get the system running again. What really impressed me was his integrity. He didn't charge me anything, not even the service call fee, because the repair was so minor. I insisted on paying him for his time, but he refused. I fancy myself a pretty good DIYer. When looking into AC mini-split systems I considered for a short period about trying to install a Mr. Cool unit. But, I needed an electrician to run a 240 volt circuit (something I'm not about to tackle) and the reviews I read about DIY installations on mini-split units were not encouraging. So, Yelp to the rescue. My wife and I obtained bids from three different companies. Oleg and Accord Air responded first, offered the lowest bid, and gave some great advice on what unit to install and why the interior wall units were better, less expensive, and more efficient than ceiling cassettes. Their bid was half that of the highest bidder. When we made the final decision, Oleg arranged an installation THE NEXT DAY and came out with a team of three workers who completed the job in about 4 hours. They were meticulously clean, incredibly professional, and the installation looks and works great. The Mitsubishi unit they installed is whisper quiet and is barely noticeable on the wall. The weather has been cool, so we haven't needed to use it much yet, but it tested well and we can't wait to see what it does in those hot summer days. Could I have saved money with a DIY installation? Sure. But now, I have a better, more reliable system and I didn't have to mess with the wiring or hire an electrician. Would my installation have been as clean-looking and as professional as Accord Air's? Absolutely not. Would we recommend Accord Air to anyone needing help with a mini-split or anything HVAC? Our AC broke due to corrosion and leaks. Right off the bat, if you are struggling financially - don't waste your time getting other quotes. I guarantee they will be BY FAR lower than the others. Like... by thousands of dollars. We got multiple quotes and all of the people who came over were very pushy and aggressive sales people UNTIL we met Oleg from Accord Air. He knew the job was going to be difficult, but did not change his price. His team was PHENOMENAL. I have never encountered people who pushed themselves that hard. Our complex is VERY old and they ran into issues they'd never seen, but would not leave until we had working AC. I kept trying to offer drinks and snacks, but they just wanted to push through. Unfortunately, that did end up meaning we have one issue that will need to be addressed in the future (something is wrong with our duct, so we have to create a hole somewhere else in one of the connecting walls and currently we can't have a ceiling there or it won't get air access), but it wasn't their fault. It will still be thousands of dollars less than the other companies. We are just so happy to have AC for these hot months! They were able to fit us in within a couple of weeks! They have continued to check in on how it's going and offer support if we need any. I will never use another HVAC company and will recommend Oleg and his team to everyone we know. read more

Called Accord about my issue, which was a black stain on my kitchen drywall right above my kitchen cabinets. It tested positive for mold so obvious moisture behind the wall. AI said it was likely related to my AC piping because the compressor is right outside that kitchen wall on the patio. Oleg was available and came out right away, opened up the drywall and determined it wasn't related to AC but was more likely a leaky drain or other plumbing from my master bath, which is right above where the leak is coming from. When I offered to pay him for his time, he refused saying it wasn't necessary. How many people do that? I immediately opened a claim with my insurance carrier to investigate the leak. Thank you Oleg. We got a few bids to install 4 mini splits. We decided to go with Oleg and his company Accord Air. During install things were done professionally and as expected. We ran into an issue with our home's power and needed to bring out SDG&E and a licensed electrician. We solved the problem. We also had an issue connecting to the WiFi on one of the units. Oleg personally came back out and replaced the WiFi adapter and we got it all to work. Overall they did great work. And we would recommend using them.
