I really liked this dog park. I brought my dog around 200pm on a hot Saturday afternoon and there was no one around. Since there was nobody at the park I can't comment on how people handle their dogs or how vigilant they are when picking up after their dogs. I didn't feel the heat because the park has a couple benches under shaded areas. It does not have designated small and large dog areas. I walked around and the fences are pretty sturdy. There are chairs around the park and a couple dog toys. All clean up stations were fully stocked with doggie bags and I did not notice too many unpicked up messes. There is one water station with a few bowls. I like that the dog park is further into Max Baer Park and not right across a busy street. Parking lot is small but on a busy day, I assume people park on the street. The park is surrounded by baseball fields and other sport arenas so it's probably a cool place to watch games and bring your dog along. Overall not too bad for a small dog park! Obi had a good time and we had enough space to play with the chuck it toy!

Dusty is inspecting the park...he's not very sure about this place just yet :/

Pros: It's quiet. Secluded in a neighborhood/park where not many people are aware of it's presence. Street location isn't very busy. Plenty of parking Pick up bags are provided Bathroom facilities (port-a-potty) Chairs for seating Plenty of shaded areas Not very muddy, even after it rained a couple of days ago. Fairly large Cons: Location! No one knows it's there, which adds onto the next one. No one ever comes. I've been several times, and I've only ever seen one other dog come. On various times of the day. Seating is provided, but majority of the chairs are really dirty. There is water facilities, but just a spicket. I prefer the dog fountains, as the water is always fresh (with drainage). Sitting water collects dirt, pee, gets hot, etc. Only one park, not separated into sizes. Fair distance away from the parking lot, with no pathway to the park. I'd assume the park gets really loud when there are games at the fields adjacent to it, which would ward me from coming on weekends. Which would also make parking an issue All and all, it's a nice park, but not worth making the trip for. It's probably an oasis for the locals, but I know/seen better. It's obviously not funded as much as the other dog parks in Livermore, and for a reason, it's doesn't get as much traffic as the other parks. Isabella

Big trees, lots of chairs, squirrels and water. Great dog park!

This is a very nice dog park. The dogs we've met have all been well behaved and the owners conscientious. There's plenty of shade, seating and grass.

This park was recommended as being a great dog park. It was not great. Too many wood chips and just not great optics for us.

Nice local dog park, kind of small but good for socializing your dog. Good group of local regulars.

Large, lots of shade and water. Most dogs behave, not always the same for their owners.

It has a whimsical theme with giant oversized flowers that act as shade! Plus forest inspired play structures to climb. There was also a musical instrument area for kids to explore. I loved the four person see saw which was very unique! The giant sit and spin was fun for the kids too. I loved that this park had features you don't see just an ordinary park. It made this playground more a destination playground as I mentioned. It was worth the drive. I wouldn't drive an hour away for it, but 30 minutes was worth it. It was also very quiet when we went on a Sunday. We easily got a shaded picnic table to eat our lunch we had packed and then hit the playground. The playground was very clean too. The only down side was that the exercise equipment had some broken machines which was unfortunate, but all of the playground equipment was in working order. Both my kids enjoyed the park so it's great for a wide range of ages, even toddlers.

Parking is in a lot near the basketball courts and a short walk around the library. We especially like to come here for the shade!

This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

The atmosphere was so amazing. There was excitement coming from the park and waterpark. There were tons of local vendors. I truly enjoyed all the sampling at the farmers market.
