Great park. The view was great. Sidewalks are available along with a bike lane to travel to this park. It offers a grass field, sitting benches along with a gazebo and even a plaza. Overall, I think it is a nice park. read more

Hidden Gem! I stumbled upon it by accident. I usually go to Hap Magee Ranch or Cubby's Dog Park but this one just has more friends that our little Kiko enjoys playing with. There's two small fenced off grass runs on the hill. The entrance is actually a dual entrance that stations the water fountain for the dogs. I wish the grass was maintained better because sometimes #2s can get lost when pet owners don't pick up after their little one. Aside from that, the dogs that attend this park are all friendly and their human's are nice! I definitely recommend this dog park to anyone who lives close by, I reside Dublin and like this park a lot! read more

This dog park has a really good view; you're on a hill and you can oversee a lot of nice scenery. As the previous reviewers have noted, the dog park is separated by big and small, but the only water foundation is in the "common" entrance area, which isn't desirable, but shouldn't prove too be too problematic. Just more annoying and inconvenient than anything. I think the biggest issue is the fact that there's no grass (just tanbark), but I think it's easier to upkeep, and is better for the drought. However, it might kind of hard to find the poop since the bark is also brown, so keep an eye out when your dog is dropping its butt! All of the dogs that I've seen here are friendly, owners are attentive, and I haven't had a problem yet! There are a good mix of dogs, and my Kelsie has had fun playing with all of them. If anyone starts acting up, owners deal with it accordingly, but the worst thing has just been some toy-possessiveness, nothing too bad. People here are quite considerate. However, I'd say, if you have kids coming into the dog park, BE VERY CAREFUL about opening ONE gate at a time. The first time I was there, I was with my boyfriend. He stepped out to get something from the car, a few people were just coming in with a bunch of dogs, both gates were left open, and my dog bolted out. Thankfully, she was just running to my boyfriend (who was halfway down the field already), but seriously, that's why they have two gates. Be careful and mindful. If a dog gets out and something happens, someone will have to take responsibility...And no one wants that. It's so frustrating when people leave the door wiiiide open and ajar when there's no need, especially when dogs like running over to greet new dogs by the gate. Don't do that. (Last note: no trees. They gave little baby trees that will prolly take another couple years to grow...So pretty much there won't be any shade during this summer...You will burn to a crisp unless you go in the morning.) read more

I realize this entire complex is not officially open yet (for what reason, I don't know since it was advertised to be opening in Fall of 2014), but I visited to check it out. Problem #1: It's at the FAR end of the complex. Let's forget about the fact that excited dogs will be charging through the park, pulling their owners behind them all that distance in their excitement to get there. More notable is, what do dogs do as they walk over/next to grass areas? That's right, they pee and poop. Let's be honest--not everyone picks up after their dogs. It just doesn't happen. So, there will undoubtedly be players and/or fans who get the privilege of stepping in it on the soccer field. I can't imagine any dog owners were consulted/involved in planning the placement of the dog portion so far away from the entrance. Problem #2: The surface is bark--the worst surface for a dog play area. It's not conducive to running and rolling. In fact, when I was there, I saw some dogs inside, and they were staying on the thin border of cement all around the park. They didn't want to be on the bark. Problem #3: Despite the fact that the plans showed lots of trees in and around the dog area, I counted three. Three. small need-lots-of-time-to-grow trees. That place is going to be hot as hell in the summer. The dog parks in Dublin have lots of trees. Memorial Park in San Ramon has a covered area. Cayetano park--nothing (at present). Problem #4: The "staging" entrance area for the two sides--one for small dogs, one for all dogs--is shared, meaning ALL dogs go into the same area to have their leashes removed before they then disperse into the chosen side. Again, I can't imagine any dog owners--especially those of small dogs--were involved in thinking this through. We could tell you that set-up is a recipe for disaster. Problem #5: The ONE water fountain is in the staging area. That means rather than dogs being able to approach the fountain if they get thirsty during play time, owners have to anticipate that their dogs are thirsty and escort them out to the staging area (where other dogs may be in the process of coming and going) and then back into the play area. Inconvenient and potentially risky for dogs to escape--remember, they are off their leashes, but the outside gate might be opened during their visit to the fountain. (Potential) Problem #6: There are no "pick-up" bag dispensers. It's possible these will be added before the park is officially opened. If not, that's a problem. Annoyance #1 (#7?): One of the posted regulations is "Limit of 2 dogs per person". I understand what they're trying to accomplish, but it's discriminatory. I have three dogs. Guess what, if I liked this park and wanted to visit, I'd bring all three of them. I am attentive to their behavior and pick-up after them. Don't lump me in with what I assume is the real issue of people who dog-sit/walk and bring large numbers of dogs at the same time. Even so, I go to dog parks almost daily, for years, and I've only seen that happen once. Overall, this brand, spanking new facility is a huge disappointment. In fairness, I'll check it out again after it's officially open and update this review if it needs it. However, the problems don't appear to be those that can be easily changed, if at all. read more

The 2 star review I am giving is because of the dog park. I don't mind the distance from the entrance, but I really don't like that it is BARK. My Labrador puppy loves grass and I want her to roll on the grass, have fun, lay down, run, etc... How can she do that in BARK? She will eat all of it, and then get sick afterwards. I am not bringing my dog to this dog park because of this one reason. It is unfortunate because we waited so long for this park to open its door, as we live right next to it. I will have to drive somewhere so I can find real dog parks with grass. City of Livermore - Can you please change it to grass, so we can bring my puppy and all of the other dogs owners in this review to this dog park? read more

This is a clean and well maintained park. There are separate enclosed areas for smaller and larger dogs, and there are several poop bag stations throughout the park. My dog loves it here. read more

We love it here! This park is usually super clean and isn't over-crowded. This is the best dog park in the Dublin, Livermore, Mountain House area. The owners are always so nice & the dogs seem to be pretty well mannered as well! Just wish there was more shade especially since it's been so hot lately! read more

I really enjoyed this dog park! Loved that they had two areas for all sizes and small dogs. Parking is pretty awful. There's a drinking fountain for dogs as well as adults. I really like that there are wood chippings instead of grass and mud. Baggy bin is all full of bags. Beautiful scenery. Picture if you want to take your dog on a hike afterwards. read more

The dog park is bark. I understand drought conditions, but some dogs do not do well on the bark. My dog doesn't have a problem with it, but other dog owners have taken to using the grass field next to the park because of the bark. This is going to cause problems in the future. read more

This is a beautiful park! However, BARK is not the way to go. My dogs did not like walking, let alone, running on it. Change out the material, and I'd give it a 5 star! read more
