He apologized and assured us he would repair the damage. On June 10th, I texted him and received no response. I texted him again on June 17th and he finally responded on June 21st. He said he needed pictures of the damage to repair it. I sent him the pictures and he said he would be in contact with the repair people. However, I heard nothing back. On September 1st, he finally responded to my texts and said he was in the hospital and it would be at least a couple weeks before he would return to work. That was the last I heard from him. Needless to say, I would not recommend him. My piano is in worse shape than before he touched it.

I left messages with several places, but Concord was the only company to return my call (and that same day). The lady on the phone was kind and answered all my questions. I was quickly given an appointment for that same week. The gentalman who came to tune my piano was right on time. He was a very kind and knowledgeable piano expert. He even accused me of lying and completely making up the easily-verifiable scientific fact that people under 25 can hear certain tones that people over 25 can't, because he's a piano tuner which i guess means no one is allowed to know anything about sound except for him. So I found a great piano tuner (Jaid Smith) that agreed to tune my piano to this frequency. He was very intrigued and did not give me a hundred reasons why this was impractical. Well I love the sound and the 1960's Baldwin grand piano didn't mind it at all. Jaid was very thorough in cleaning out the piano and readjusting the registers. This may be the only 432 hz piano in Portland but there may be other musicians out there that have researched the benefits of this tuning. I highly recommend Jaid for this or just standard tuning.
