I have been a regular here for over a year now, so it's about time that I write a stellar review! I work as a server carrying heavy plates back and forth for hours on end. As a result, my back/shoulders have been messed up for years. I started going here because it was affordable enough to go at least once a week to get the kinks worked out. One year later, my back is almost as knot free as it was when I was a kid. This isn't your standard Swedish massage. You leave your clothes on, and they put you in a room with other people - a small price to pay given that an hour will only cost you $45. I've gone wearing anything from work clothes to jeans, and they always make it work. They keep blankets over you for warmth and modesty, and you hardly notice that anyone else is in the room. At first I was concerned that they didn't make me sign a waiver, but these guys are professionals and know what they are doing. Reflexology works out the "crunchies" in your feet and applies a good amount of pressure to massage not just your muscles, but your deep tissue as well. I've paid $150 for a deep tissue massage that wasn't near as good as these guys. I've never had to point out my "problem areas," because they seem to find them on their own within minutes. I've never had a bad massage here. Sometimes I get a new guy, and I worry he won't be as good, but once they start, they are awesome without fail every time. They must be trained very well, cause they all follow a similar routine. Way to go guys. Keep up the good work! read more

I tried out a neck/shoulder massage here for the first time, and unfortunately it was an incredibly uncomfortable experience. I was gestured to sit on their massage chair right inside the front door, I set my purse down behind me and settled in (where my face was down and I couldn't see). Then I heard one or two other people come in, walking around the small room, where previously we had been alone. I heard breathing behind me which made me uncomfortable. When there was a pause in my massage, I looked back behind me to see if I was just being paranoid but there was a guy sitting just two feet behind me with his phone in his hands! I don't know if he was recording, or just genuinely unaware of how creepy it was that he decided to just sit right behind me while I wasn't able to keep an eye on him, but I was upset and unsettled for the rest of the time there. So creepy, I'm only posting this review to warn other women and in the hopes the staff might turn away from doing this again. In addition to that, the chair for me to sit in was placed in the very front of the store, it was warm, with no sound or music from speakers to cover up the heavy breathing and stomach growling noises from the man giving my "massage". He applied good pressure, I could tell he was trying but there was just no skill to what he was doing, just rubbing random places along my shoulders and spine. read more

I really wanted to like Max Feet since I had a gift card to use there, but sadly I don't think I'll return. I feel worse today than I did before going. My masseuse was overly aggressive and pinching me alot. I have marks all along my back. The towel he put over my back left a slight rash from how hard he was grinding into me. He kept using his elbow to rake across my spinal cord ... making tense up more and more. I almost had to stop the massage. Also, the entire time his phone was not on silent (at max Volume) and pinging (at least 20 times, I stopped counting). It was hard to relax because of this as well. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. I give it two stars because it's pretty clean and the staff is nice. read more

I rarely post negative reviews of businesses but I feel that this time I must. I've been going to max feet for over five years and 90% of the time always have a wonderful massage even if it is a different masseuse. I prefer to stay with Lily but unfortunately she was not available. Today I came in, and explained to the masseuse I wanted only my back massaged. It was the worst experience I've ever been through. I don't believe the masseuse has ever done massage before, as there was another female masseuse in the room with us, and she kept talking to him in their own language, it was as if she was telling him what to do, this went on for the duration of the massage. It felt like he took a machine that had a gun on the end of it and it would hit me over and over and over and over again. It was exhausting to experience. There was no massage whatsoever. If anything he would rub his side of his arm up my spine. I've never had anybody put pressure on my spine before this was very uncomfortable and I had to ask him to stop. Finally when he was done w/ the fast poking , which gave me a headache he began the slapping like they do with the end of massage but this time it was harder than normal. I actually felt worse than when I walked in & my head is killing me from all of the punching with his hands on my back & neck. I actually several times in the massage told him to stop and do a new technique he would always revert back. This was a terrible experience. I asked the front desk for his name at the end so that I could make sure not to request him in the future, and they refused to give it to me . After I left, I called back, hoping someone else would answer the phone and they explained to me that the person that just did my massage was new and they did not know his name. This is very scary. So bad it was almost hilarious. My bf & I were seated next to one another and I tried so hard not to make eye contact for fear of bursting out laughing. Turns out our masseuses were both trained in the same technique. This involves using long strokes to rub up the leg & then down the leg. Up & down, up & down. Now & then my masseuse would stop to rub my foot. This break allowed for a glimmer of hope that perhaps she would now move on to the "massage" portion of this experience. Nope. Back to the rubbing... up, down, up down. For. An. Hour. For whatever reason I started to find this really funny. Laughing to keep from crying, I guess. I hate to do this...a few years ago you were given a solid massage for $35 plus tip! I went in today and chose to ignore reviews only because I had been here a few years ago and had a good experience. This was the worse massage ever! I get massages for $150 so I'm not comparing to that. I'm comparing to a decent relaxing experience. I regret ignoring recent reviews. This was the worse experience I've ever had. Simply put...my feet were rubbed raw for 55 min and I found myself in pain and wanted to stop it but kept thinking it will shift and get better. It's now $45 for the "foot reflexology " which I'm fine with if I got what they used to offer that used to start with a head/face massage to relax you then hands/fingers/arms. 30 min of legs/feet then turn over for back/neck! If you enjoy having your feet rubbed to death for an hour this is absolutely the massage for you! Never again so disappointed. read more

We have recently "discovered" reflexology - trying it as a fluke one evening. I just liked the idea of having a foot massage, but this is so, SO much more!! Max Feet has a wonderful, quiet atmosphere, with soft music that sets the mood. The rooms are dimly lit with overstuffed recliners. The reflexology treatment starts by placing your feet in a bucket of warm water for a few minutes. The therapist then starts by applying pressure on the hundreds of pressure points on your feet. Thirty minutes per foot. I can't really tell you what happens during the treatment because each and every time I've gone into some kind of trance. It's not sleep really because if you fall asleep you get your foot slapped lol! Today my hubbie Leo decided to do a combo treatment of 50% reflexology and 50% Swedish massage. He gave that the complete thumbs up as well. We've tried another nearby reflexology place, and it's good, but not as good as this place! If you've never tried reflexology, do yourself a favor - get to this place ASAP! read more

So, yeah, no. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. I give it two stars because it's pretty clean and the staff is fairly nice in asking if you are doing okay. Why I wouldn't give it more than two: - The man massaging my feet kept nodding off to sleep - There was one point where the man doing the massaging was up near my shoulders and burped - It's $45 for the average $30-$35 massage I usually would receive somewhere else - Both staff that were present barely spoke english so it was exceptionally difficult to ask questions about what the massage consisted of - The set-up of the room is narrow and small, although doesn't necessarily play a huge role read more

Expect awesome foot massage for the full length of time (none of this massaging other body parts for half of the time!), but better tea, softer towels, slightly better lotion. Terrible. I've tried several times, this last was the worst. I understand the staff doesn't speak great English but it's frustrating when you are trying to communicate what you want. They charged me an extra $10 for the exact same massage I usually get for $35. I wouldn't have been bad if the massage was good but it was awful and I was glad it was over. Not going again.
