My consultant was Debra and right off the back, she was lovely! She had such a great sense of humor and allowed me to be open and honest and what I was looking for. We stayed within my budget (yay!) and she was so patient and helpful. I did end up finding my dress, which I didn't expect to because the dress that I ended up buying was VERY different than what I came in wanting (sounds like an episode of the show, am I right?) but it was the perfect dress for me. There is a huge variety of styles, designers, and options, which is great if you want to try on a wide range of dresses in one appointment. That said, the overall experience felt much less personal than some of the other bridal salons I visited in New York City. It felt a bit like a factory of brides, with a giant room where many brides are trying on dresses at the same time. The mirrors were also surprisingly small and free-standing, and I felt very close up to them, which made it hard to really see myself clearly in the dresses. I also would have liked to step off the podium more to see how the dresses looked naturally, but my stylist seemed to prefer that I stay on it (and of course dresses tend to look better when you're elevated on a podium). The selection is definitely a major strength, and I understand why Kleinfeld is so well known. However, there are other bridal salons in New York City that feel much more personalized, spacious, non-judgmental, and relaxed. I also noticed that some of the stylists standing around elsewhere came across as judgmental, which took away from the overall atmosphere a bit. Overall, I'm still giving 5 stars because of the dress variety and the iconic experience, but I would say brides should go in knowing that it may feel less intimate and personalized than other boutiques in the city. I went on a weekday to avoid paying for the experience. I'd recommend others do the same, as I don't think the fee is worth it. My stylist also was the least knowledgable about dresses compared to other salons.

As I walked in I was greeted by both a sales assistant and Rebeca the owner. Both were very friendly and accommodating, and within a few minutes, I had beautiful sparkly studs in my ears. I was very pleased with how meticulous Rebeca was on making sure the holes were even, she even pulled out a little ruler to measure. The piercing was pretty painless (it was my third hole so I'm kinda a pro.) I was really happy with my experience. It's a calm environment which I think would be good for kids. You are given a cleaning lotion and instructions how to keep them clean and infection free! I am pretty sure they do cartilage piercing on the ear also. Beside the ear piercing, they have a ton of cute accessories to browse. I ended up getting a necklace that have been searching for after seeing it on a girl at the Belmont Stakes. Thanks to Rebeca and Zaraz for a great ear piercing and a cute necklace to go with my summer wardrobe! Also love to keep my business in Lynbrook. I most def recommend Zaraz for ear piercing!

I don't want to sully my review by mentioning other places, but we did go to the famous place (shown on TV) and we ran from there so fast! We wanted a boutique, friendly and professional atmosphere. Carol was everything and more. We arrived on time to our appointment and Carol answered the door to her lovely, private showroom. She spent time with us, reviewing options, fabrics and styles. My daughter tried on one of her gowns and was brought to tears. She turned to me and said, "mom, this is it". She looked stunning. The dress was a combination of color, layers and flair. My daughter looked like a princess on her most special day. Everyone kept commenting on the quality and beauty of the dress. Carol is an artist. This is not a "mill" where you pick something from a rack, overpay and order your size. This is a professional designer sharing her vision and, ultimately, adorning you with exactly what you envision together. If I sound like Im gushing, it's because I am. My first appointment was so ideal; Nhi greeted me warmly and was so friendly and inviting. The space is lovely and all appointments are private (just you and no other brides at the same time). I tried on gowns that I had seen online, as well as separates. When I tried on the Senara gown, everything changed. She was the one! (Note: I made 2 additional trips back to Carol Hannah to finalize my choice before officially saying yes to the dress; thank you Nhi for being so patient and supportive!!) What is extra special about buying your gown from Carol Hannah is the custom fit alterations: your gown is literally MADE FOR YOU. After taking my measurements, each fitting I attended was to further tailor the fit and the components of the dress. For example, I wanted to take the back down a little, wanted the "petal" part of the bust to lay a certain way, and wanted part of the draping altered a bit -- all were easily discussed and accommodated!
