This review is long overdue. I got my hair done last weekend (dec 1st). And my review might be all over this place. But I really just want write down my experience. I must say when I had booked my appointment, I was hesitant. I read all the bad reviews and was worried that I would go to Maxim Beautique and walk out with my hair all messed up. I was also hesitant because I was using a Groupon for cut, wash and balyage and felt that they might not do a good job since I was not paying full price. Let me tell you guys, that was not the case. First of all, I called to book at appointment and spoke with Dima. He was professional on the phone and took my info down for my appointment. I was excited, but still super nervous. The day of my appointment, I walked in 5 mins late. Dima was already waiting for me so he quickly sat me down and started to analyze my hair. At first I was thinking oh no, he's going to rush this. He asked me if I had a photo of what I wanted. Of course I had many, but I showed me one and he started to tell me what he was thinking. He explained how my hair would turn orange since I black hair and it naturally has red/orange pigments. He told me that to achieve the style in the picture I would need to add a second dye. He never mentioned the price, but I wanted to know so I asked. He told me how much extra it would be and as much as I wanted to say no, I said, go for it. Paying the extra money was the best decision of my life. Not only does my hair cut and color look amazing, but I'm already trying to plan my trip back and even telling my sister to go. Dima was super patient with me. I have long, thick hair. You can only imagine how long it took to cut, color, wash, color, wash, dry and style . It took almost 4 1/2 hours and not once did I feel like I was being rushed or that Dima was getting annoyed. Not going to lie, the owner isn't the friendliest. I tried to smile at her a few times when we made eye contact and she had no reaction really. Maybe she didn't notice, but she wasn't as bad as the reviews make her seem. Overall, that didn't bug me since she wasn't the one doing my hair and she was still nice. Everyone else who worked there kept to themselves, but everyone else was friendly. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. I think Dima did an amazing job. Maybe it's because I was nice to them so they were nice to me. I didn't nitpick or expect super luxurious service. So in return, I got a friendly hair stylist, who was patient with me. I think if you treat them the way you wanna be treated they'll treat you just that way. Anyways, thanks Dima! read more

I am so disappointed and would not recommend anyone to this place. After Dimitry looked at my hair he said he would going to charge me 35$ because of the length(which is understandable) and 85$ for color. I was taken back with that. He said that the groupon I purchased covered the bleach and for the color it was going to cost 85. I was already there so I did not want to walk out but honestly I should have. Dimitry did not know how to handle my hair. I have Indian hair. In addition to the that he did not have a good brush to brush through my wet hair. He was using a hand size travel brush. I was in so much pain, I offered to brush my own hair. This is someone who styles hair you would think he would have some knowledge to part my hair into smaller pieces before combing it through. NOPE. He cut my hair really good. Which is the reason I am giving 2 stars. My hair is so much fuller. I love the bounce. But man my hair color is horrible. I wish I took the time to observe my hair at the salon but I did not. He did even show my the back of my head. I have so many colors in my hair. Some parts are blonde, Bronze and others are orange. PLEASE, DON'T GO THERE! My beautiful red hair is ruined. I went there once when Disha was working and she did a wonderful job with my hair. I went again when we entered phase 2 of reopening and this blonde lady with a Slavic accent did a haircut. She was just supposed to cut 2 inches of my hair. She cut way more than that and all the ends were uneven. The blowout was terrible too. I went home and when I took another look at the mirror I was desperate. Then I went back to the salon and she was just laughing and kind of tried to fix it. I had to go home as I did not want her to touch my hair ever again. Five days later, I scheduled an appointment at another salon as I was too desperate. I am having another haircut today. I purchased a Groupon for a haircut and blow dry. My appointment was rescheduled twice with no explanation. Third time the hairdresser was a no show. I called the number I had from being rescheduled. "I'll be there! I'll be there!". On her arrival 10 minutes late I received no apology. When I expressed my displeasure at being rescheduled twice and then the lateness without showing me the courtesy of notifying me, she said "I will not apologize for crimes I did not commit!" I came here because I bought a Groupon based on good reviews they had already. If you aren't looking to spend more than the Groupon you purchased, inquire first about what you want done and if it's going to be possible. I wanted a caramel toned balayage, and I was told that my hair was too dark for bleach alone to work. So extra color had to be added, which was an additional charge of $65 (my Groupon was $84 for a cut, wash and balayage). Anna was my stylist and I did appreciate her honesty because I'm very picky about color in my hair, and I didn't want it to look much different than the pictures I was showing her. Therefore, I didn't mind the additional cost to me this time around. I would recommend going to Anna. She was very nice, and honest about the achievability of a particular color or style. Some places don't care and will simply do what you ask for, regardless of how it comes out. Anna took the time to explain to me what was required for my hair to look the way I wanted it to look. I also happened to be in a rush and underestimated the time it would take for this process, but Anna and her coworker blowdried and styled my hair together so I could leave on time, which was very nice of them. My hair has never been more damaged in my life! I came in for a cut and balayage because I had a deal from Groupon. I feel like my hair was barely even trimmed, even though I asked for a new style , but when I put it in a ponytail now, one side is much longer than the other ... The balayage was way more expensive than I expected because they charged for toner, but I can't even argue that one since my hair is dark, but it should be disclosed on the Groupon. I've only washed my hair twice in two weeks and everytime I shower, it's like a scene from a Halloween movie because the color just washes right down the drain. I know that when you color your hair, it washes out a bit each time, but it's like there was no conditioning treatment to lock the color in at all. Not only that, but when they did it, my entire scalp was stained and I looked like a complete fool walking around like that. My hair is SO brittle and dry now, that anytime I so much as touch my hair, a handful falls right out. My hair is usually so soft and silky that people come up to me and actually pet my hair.... It's so sad how damaged it is now. Whatever product they use, is like nothing I've ever had anywhere else. I feel like I'm going bald. It seems like I'm losing hair in patches and I notice areas that are much thinner now cuz it's falling out from being so brittle. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I color my hair very often, and I've never had hair this damaged from any other salon, and not even from a box !!!!! So much regret for stepping foot in this place at all. I'm going to echo some folks and say I wish I could give this place NO STARS. This was the worst salon experience of my life. I bought a Living Social coupon for my mom and myself for this place for a wash, cut, and balayage. We should've known the place no good being that it was a beautiful autumnal Sunday afternoon (yesterday, 9/30), and the salon had absolutely no patrons. Anyway, my mom and I showed both the young man and woman working that afternoon pictures of what we wanted and both stated they could do both the colors and the cuts (side note: they also didn't have every color available, for those who like the rainbow/non-basic trends). They also added additional costs to our coupons to cover our roots. They wanted to charge me an additional $60 - $65 for my roots, and an additional $194 to my mom for her grays & highlights. Needless to say, you will see by the pics below, what we requested, what we looked like prior, including my hair the day before, and what we got. In addition to their piss poor job, the man decided to insult my mother's age and appearance by asking if she was on medication (she's not), and mocking her, repeatedly stating, "Oh, you wanna see what you looked like before?", as if to say she's ugly (everyone's entitled to their opinion, but this is extremely unprofessional, in my opinion). Despite the fact that we VERY OBVIOUSLY did not get what we requested, the man insisted on arguing with us, they kept saying to return on Tuesday to fix it, as if we have nothing else to do, and as if their job wasn't to get it right the first time. I told them they were lucky we weren't even going to fight them on the voucher alone. The woman was quite rude, abruptly putting her tools away and silently packing to leave without telling me she was "done". Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that I requested she trim my layers, but, instead, she just chopped about 2" straight off across the bottom & neglected the rest of my hair. Ian did my hair and although I like the cut I hate the Balayage. Probably the worst experience i received from there. I had a nice ice Balayage and was hoping to bring the color up since it has been a while since I touched up the color. My hair is orange with the ends being platinum. I have spots on my hair. Even though I read all the negative reviews, I still figured I'd give this place a chance being that I was only getting a cut I figured nothing could go wrong. I booked an appt and received a confirmation email/reminder about my appt the night prior. I showed up to my appt and the woman working told me the stylist wasn't there and that she tried to call me. I told her I never received a call. She was insisting she called me but then looked in her computer and read off a random number that wasn't mine, before she realized she called the wrong customer. So I've always been a yelp lurker, but was always too lazy to write reviews. I'm feeling pretty passionate about this experience though because a) I'm a girl and hair is important and b) I'm going to have to attend Coachella with this new hairstyle. This review is mostly just for the hair stylist, Orlando. He was a very nice man, and tried to attend to my desires, but it was his skills that were lacking. The salon itself is fine, customer service was okay, except towards the end when I was paying and I couldn't pay tip on my credit card. The lady who was handling the payment didn't ask me if I wanted to pay tip on the card before swiping it and acted like it was my fault for not letting her know beforehand. I got my hair done yesterday morning at Maxim Beautique with Orlando. Got the first appointment in the hopes that I would be the only one my hair stylist had to attend to (he did take one customer during my time, but that's okay). Anyway, I arrived early, but had to wait for a little because Orlando came in late. He was apologetic about it, it's all good, I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere. I asked for a balayage and immediately knew when Orlando started, it was not going to look at all like a balayage. I tried to say something and ask him questions about what he was doing, but he kept telling me to trust him. I've gotten many balayages before and I have never seen anyone use the technique he used. First, he made me purchase toner, which was an extra $50 with tax. When putting on the toner, he basically painted the entire ends of my hair and then tried to lightly comb in some toner on the top of my head with a tooth brush looking brush. The way that he was doing it was very unconventional for balayage. Hair stylists I've come across normally pick out strips of hair to paint on the toner/dye, which is why I think he was either being lazy, rushing, or did not know how to actually do a balayage. After washing out the toner, he proceeded to just cover all of my hair with the actual dye. He massaged in the dye for about 4 minutes and washed it out. The color that came out was basically just the color that he got from toning my hair, no red in it like I wanted. I asked him to dye it again, so once again, he just massaged the dye into all of my hair and then left me laying in the sink for 15 minutes. I now have a bruise on my neck from laying on the hard plastic of the sink. After he washed it out, the color was a little redder, but more like orange/yellow. I was hoping for a deep, dark red. And also, just like I feared, the balayage was pretty patchy and kind of just looked like I got my hair dyed. After the "balayage", I was feeling pretty nervous about the cut because his hands seemed unsure and unskilled. They were a little shaky, rough, and had no precision. He started with cutting my hair in the front first and cut my hair so short that I have bangs now. Not only that, I tried to mention to him where I part my bangs and he said that it didn't matter, that what he was doing was just his technique. However, when I pushed my hair to the side that I normally part it, my new bangs were incredibly uneven, chunky, and overall ridiculous. Then, he proceeded to cut the rest of my hair. Again, the technique was very strange and I honestly wondered how he knew what he was doing or cutting because my hair was all over. My face was completely covered with my hair as if he didn't want me to see what he was doing. He did a lot of straight cuts instead of feathering the ends. The scariest part had to be when he used the thinning shears. He would pull out a clump of hair that was definitely too much for thinning shears and do two straight cuts two inches apart. At the end, my hair did not feel lighter at all, looked pretty choppy, and I now had bangs that I never asked for. I asked him to thin out my hair more because it felt so thick still, but he said it wouldn't be a good idea. And by that point, I wasn't confident to let him touch my hair anymore. He dried only half of my head so that I could see the finished product, which I was unpleased with. Then, I walked out with half of my head wet I ended up going to another salon right after and the hair stylist there said he couldn't do anything to fix my bangs because they were already too short and was in disbelief at the color in my hair. He did thin out my hair like I wanted though. Overall, by the time I was done with everything, the amount of extra money I had to spend on my hair basically made getting a Groupon pointless. Don't be fooled by the cheaper price for the package they have on Groupon. In the end, the toner and the hair drying that you would get in other Groupon packages makes those a better deal! But if you do purchase this Groupon, Dima seemed skillful and meticulous. Don't know if the girl next to me had a Groupon, but her hair looked great! FYI, Carmen, Monica, Leslie, Yolanda, Naomi, etc all don't work here anymore. It's only Dima and Orlando. read more

I had a really great experience with Anna. I've had two visits with her, one for a haircut and one for highlights and a haircut, and I really like her. She actually listens closely and gives you exactly what you want. After my first haircut, I got a ton of compliments and decided to go back and give her a try for highlights. Than some things changed and called back asked to come in the same day I called (11/14)-again no problem was given the time I wanted. It was fairly easy to find and not to far from the crosstown bus (I live uptown) the place looks like any other salon, small but nice. My beautician was named Anna and she was wonderful! Did an amazing job on my hair! I was exhausted that day from running all over the place and I guess she saw that and quietly had a small conversation with me than just let me practically fall asleep in her chair. This place is an absolute joke. Just look at how Maxim responds to negative reviews... I'm surprised it has taken me so long to write a review because I had an absolutely appalling experience here. I came in last winter for a cut and partial highlights. When I got there, 5 min early, there were two male employees sitting in their chairs, both on their phones. No one greeted me or even looked at me. I had to awkwardly introduce myself, and they just responded by reminding me of my appointment time. So I sat and waited the 5 minutes, until the guy was ready to get off his phone. When I sat down in the chair, I explained what I wanted, but he appeared to not be paying attention and even rolled his eyes at one point! No sooner had he finished putting the foil in for my highlights, he started (roughly!) ripping them out. I asked him what he was doing, I said I usually wait at least 30 min, and he said that he had another customer coming and that since my hair is blonde already it would be fine. Note: my hair is blonde because of the highlights I already had, my natural color is quite dark! After he rinsed out the bleach (I don't even think he used conditioner) he proceeded to cut my hair without showing me how much he was cutting off. I tried to stop him several times and remind him I only wanted the ends trimmed slightly, he nodded, but I could see the hair falling to the floor was MUCH more than what I wanted. I was on the verge of tears, but didn't want to stop him because he had already started. When he was done cutting, he removed the cape and told me I was done....with soaking wet hair. I asked him if he was going to dry it, he said no, unless I wanted to pay for a full blow out. I have never in my life been refused to blow dry my hair... even a $15 haircut from Super Cuts when I was a kid. (I honestly regret not going there this time!!) So I left, in December, with soaking wet hair much shorter than I had asked for. When I got home and was actually able to blow dry my hair, I couldn't even see any highlights. I regret coming here and spending my money. What an absolute waste. Hands down worst hair experience of my life. This place needs to be shut down. read more

tl;dr - DO NOT GO HERE, IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY. Before I go into detail, I'd first like to congratulate this establishment on continuing to survive in the Manhattan marketplace while doing the absolute bare minimum in terms of quality and service. I bought a groupon for a haircut/wash/blowout + mani/pedi for $49 - I admit I should have known at that price that this was not going to be a very upscale place, but I did not expect it to so severely disappoint my expectations. I made an appointment for a Sunday afternoon for all the services I purchased, and immediately when I arrived is when the problems began. The salon was empty but for one woman finishing up a manicure, but it seems they did not have me booked and my appt did not exist. The man at the counter went to speak to the manicurist and after some frantic discussion he told me she would be able to do my nails, but if I wanted my hair done he could start that service and she would do my nails as he cut my hair. I was shocked this was even an option and immediately told him not to stress about it and that I would reschedule my hair appt and just get nails done that day. I'd like to reiterate that the salon was still empty, yet somehow they could not fit me into their apparently packed schedule. Now about the nail service: I have been to many a cheap nail salon over the years, and nothing has ever compared to this experience. As I walked to the back of the salon, I did not see any kind of pedicure chair or station so of course I was very curious where this service would be taking place; my question was answered as the woman moved away the small "manicure table" and pulled out what was essentially an ancient foot bath on wheels. In this tiny, cramped corner I was directed to sit in a worn plastic chair and put my feet on the paper towels she had laid out on the foot stand. Again, I was not expecting a luxurious massage chair and garra rufa fish nipping at my soles, but this was just disgusting and something I could have done 10x better in my own home. The manicure pretty much followed the same line: I was told to place my hands in a small bowl of cold water that already felt slimy, the paper towel on the block under my hand was disintegrating to no concern of the manicurist, and at this point I was glad she did not even bother to cut my cuticles because who knows what kind of disease I would have gotten from their probably not disinfected equipment. Moving on to the hair appt: I decided not to waste the rest of my groupon because after all, how badly can you screw up a simple wash/trim/blowout? How naïve I was. I scheduled this appt a few weeks later for a Thursday evening, and after having my appt disappear the first time, I called on Thursday afternoon to confirm. Unsurprisingly, it seems a stylist had called in sick, and they were now unable to take me that day or even reschedule around that time. Would they have even told me this had I not called? Unsure, but this lack of decent customer service is truly appalling. I ended up rescheduling for the next week, and once again called a mere 30 minutes before my appt to confirm I was not going to be rescheduled. And yet, when I showed up, they had double booked the stylist. The woman at the counter stepped outside and brought in another stylist who I guess was on a coffee/cigarette break, and after waiting 10 minutes they finally took me over to have my hair washed. After shampooing and putting in conditioner, she suddenly says to wait 20 minutes for it to set in, and my reaction was utter confusion because I hadn't asked for a deep conditioning treatment, and I did not have the time for that nor did I want to be there any longer than I had to. She said that was the service I had gotten, which I denied and asked her to just use regular conditioner- she finally said fine, just let it set for 5 minutes and we'll do the cut/blowout. I ended up sitting there for 20 minutes anyway, and when I turned around to see what was taking so long, my stylist had taken this time to go and cut the other customer's hair. Finally I was taken to a chair, and the stylist threw a robe around me, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was COVERED IN HAIR from a previous client. Not just a few leftover strands but a haircut's worth of snips strewn right in front of my face. Anyway, I asked for a simple 2 inch trim, and apparently this means brushing all my hair back and doing a single straight cut across - something my mother used to do when I was a child and we didn't want to waste money on an actual haircut. There was no smoothing it out or lining it up to where I part my hair, and right now it is most definitely not looking like an even haircut. All in all, this was the worst nail and hair experience of my entire life, and I truly hope the employees at this salon find a new place to work where they are trained properly and held to higher standards than this sad excuse for a business. read more

Ok so let me start this by saying I haaaaaate giving bad reviews but I chose this place based on seemingly good other reviews and don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. I went in a few days ago with the Groupon for a balayage or ombré with a haircut. I provided Yolanda with multiple pictures of what I wanted, and repeatedly stressed that I wanted a SUBTLE ombré and a blunt bob cut, a couple of inches below my chin. I also said I just wanted a slight trim on my bangs, not too short. Fast forward an hour or so, and the allegedly subtle ombré is now all the way up to the top of my head, splotchy on the right side of my head, and a harsh diagonal line going from brown to blonde down the left. It was terribly brassy and this was after she claimed to have used the $45 additional toner. I was very upset and expressed that it was nothing like the images I had showed her and she began to get frustrated with me. I requested they just do an all over color on top to get back to my natural color and that we'd call it good. She attempted to do this literally 3 times but consistently missed big blonde chunks and had to go back in and try to touch them up. As I continued to express my concern she was incredibly rude told me my service was finished and that I needed to leave. Finally, the manager stated that I could come back over the weekend to get it fixed if I desired. While I appreciated the offer (the manager was kind but also did nothing to calm her employee that was literally yelling at me), I ended up going elsewhere to get it fixed that evening. It was truly so bad I had to call into work that night until I was able to get it entirely redone. You guys, finally some great news. No, no COVID vaccine available yet , but something almost as equally exciting and profound happened- my favorite hair stylist Dima(Dmitriy) is back to Maxim! I always say he is the best thing that happened to my hair, because nobody can do layers as well as he does ! I have fine , randomly wavy hair that has been through postpartum hair loss with back to back pregnancies and is generally neglected in mom bun most of the time . I struggled with most hair dressers just cutting layers straight and then it s a mess once I am out of the salon. Dima's technic is the the only thing that helps my haircut retain its shape even when I don't have time to blow dry. I can't tell you how happy I am he is back. I don't have the before pic but I am kind of glad I don't. Came in recently with a Groupon for a haircut, wash and balayage. After four hours, the male hairdresser whose name I don't remember invited me to check out with completely wet hair. I was stunned, since I've never in my life gotten a haircut that was not then blow dried. He informed me it would be an extra $40. Fine. I wasn't walking out with wet hair. He asked me how I wanted it - big and bouncy. He then proceeded to give me the flattest blow dry I've ever experienced, using no product at ALL on my very fine hair. When I commented on how this was not what I wanted, he made some snarky remarks about it being my fault for running my hands through my hair (in a desperate attempt to lift it, yes). The "balayage" is such that no one even noticed. Stay away from this place. A waste of money. read more

I found a coupon on group on: a very good deal (taxes and blow-dry not included) for a baylage or ombré. I went to Maxim Boutique and I was assigned to Naomi, she did a good job, she even did not need to use the tint (extra 35$), she mixed the two techniques for a very natural result! So I called this place to make an appointment the very rude receptionist is the OWNER , she booked my appointment and I visited this salon yesterday with a Groupon. Upon entering the salon i had a big smile on my face and was excited to treat myself to a new style..my spirit was kinda crushed when no one greeted me , as i stood there. The salon was not busy at all no other customer was there.. the stylists were speaking russian with owner who was seated at the reception desk then a very young stylist came over and stated "you're here with groupon" although taken aback I responded "Hi, yes." He continued to speak with the owner in russian language in a manner as if to bash the fact i had a groupon.. Altough offended, i brushed it off and I began to explain what I want done. I stated wash, cut and baliyage (as listed in the groupon) and showed him picture of baliyage/style I wanted . He didn't introduce himself so I kindly asked what's your name "Michael" he stated. So Michael began on my hair , he seemed very inexperienced and kept leaving to go to the back of the salon to speak the other stylist "Dima" and owner as i sat in the chair.. He washed my hair, began to cut it i had to keep explaining what I wanted, he just didn't get it!!! and proceeded to "baliyage" my hair all the while intermittently walking away, and checking his phone..He had a scared look on his face as if he didn't know what to do.. finally he finished my baliyage which DID NOT COME OUT THE WAY I WANTED! not even close to the picture I showed him, and multiple explanation of what I wanted..I tried explaining my dissatisfaction but he couldn't grasp it..Frustrated I decided to pay and leave, upon going to the reception desk the OWNER in a shouting RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL manner shouted you have to pay extra $65 dollars for "toner" I stated " You did not specify anything in your groupon add" "there's no fine print stating any extra costs" . She began shouting further and stating "I DONT HAVE TO PUT ON GROUPON " I CAN CHARGE WHATEVER I WANT". I stated "you are false advertising, you should specify any extra fees". I then stated please show me your price list she pulled out a piece of paper( picture attached below) and I stated "please show me where it states toner is 65 dollars" she couldn't show me and again shouted "I CAN CHARGE WHAT I WANT ". This is a terrible place. I got a groupon for balayage, cut, and wash for $89. When I arrived Carmen told me I had to pay $35 extra for the toner or my hair would be orange. Then afterwards she told me she couldn't do the ash blonde that I wanted in one session or I would go bald. I would have to come back 3 more times. Which was a lie. When my hair was done, it wasn't the slightest of blonde. It was BROWN. I DID NOT even need toner. I could have done this myself. She was rude and a bitch but that doesn't matter. If it did matter, she was cocky and confident that I was going to like my hair and it's nothing I asked for. I could have used a $5 loreal box and achieved the same results. Ehhhh. Maybe this is a good spot to come to for a quick haircut out of desperation, but after my keratin experience yesterday, I'm apprehensive about whether it was a good decision. I purchased a LivingSocial deal for a keratin treatment and haircut at Maxim, as I was due for another treatment and Maxim was close to home. Due to an appointment running late, my wash and cut was performed by a different person than the one who applied the keratin and straightened my hair. After having time to inspect my haircut at home, I found a few uneven spots, which is obviously disappointing. Regarding the keratin application and straightening, the manner in which these things were done made me think that perhaps it was the stylists first time ever operating a hair straightener--I'm fairly certain I could have done a better job myself. Compared to my prior keratin treatment, which is my only point of comparison, my hair was not silky smooth right after I left, and I'm very nervous to see how it will ultimately turn out once I wash it in 4 days (yeah, 4 days--not the usual 2-3 that other treatments seem to allow) and beyond. A part of me wants to just cut my losses, wash it now, and try elsewhere, but I'm going to stick it out and see what happens. I will post an update in the next few weeks regarding the outcome--I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. read more

As previous review mentioned, this is a hair salon not a nail salon. The receptionist was very friendly. However, the mani-pedi that I received was extremely unprofessional. 1. The lady took 1 hour and 45 minutes for a mani-pedi, which is usually 1 hour or less. 2. You'll have to sit on a hair salon chair throughout the 1 hour 45 minutes mani-pedi. It's very uncomfortable. 3. The manicure lady is not properly trained for manicure nor pedicure. I can probably do a better job than her. Her coloring is uneven. I couldn't believe what I was seeing after she's done with my nails. I went home, removed everything, and redid the coloring because I couldn't go out like that. It was a waste of time for the worst mani-pedi I have ever received. I would suggest this hair salon that not offer any nail service unless you know how to. read more

Horrifying manipedi experience! Bought a deal from Amazon Local for the same price I usually pay for manipedis, but I thought I'd be getting an upgrade of an experience, since it was such a discount price for the place. Boy, was I wrong. First off, it's a hair salon, not a nail salon, so they don't have a pedicure chair. You must sit on a regular chair and prop your legs up on this stool which is SO uncomfortable; all the blood rushed to my calves and feet causing them to sting. Then, when it came time to rub lotion on my legs, the manicurist dabbed some lotion on (while wearing gloves) then rubbed it off with tough paper towels. There's also no dryer to dry your toes and the hand dryer is just a fan. When it came time for the massage- no massage chair- you sit in a regular chair. My back was tensing up during it! The manicurist doesn't make you feel warm and welcome, and neither does the manager. They seem desperate for customers and a profit, yet they don't seem to have the knowledge and/or motivation to give the customers what they want, thus secure their return. I'd never go back. read more
