They treated me like I was family, and not just a client. I have recently started taking Tae Kwon Do here as well, and I am loving it! The classes are physically challenging and mentally stimulating. Rockford Academy is a great place to work out both your body and your mind.

Unfortunately, I never made it back, so I submitted a cancellation request through their app about two months later. That's where everything went downhill. I received a vague one-line email saying my request was "initiated" but needed more information. I replied multiple times asking what was needed--no response. I called, left voicemails, and sent several text messages over the course of months. Still nothing. Meanwhile, I continued to be charged for August and September despite actively trying to cancel. I eventually had to stop payment through my bank. Even after that, I kept reaching out about using the credits I had already paid for. Every time, I was told "Rich will call you back." It took two more months to finally speak with him. Then I was told I only had 30 days post-cancellation to use my credits--something that was never disclosed when I signed up or during my attempts to cancel. Even worse, I was told the only way to use the credits I already paid for was to reactivate my membership and start paying again. To top it off, I found out my account had been sent to collections with no prior notice. This entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely avoidable with proper communication. Make sure you fully understand their cancellation policies--and get everything in writing--before signing up.

Near the bar and grill while you can't go in the water, you can take your drink and sit on one of the cheers on the beach. You can watch people practice on their WaveRunner. Swing on the swings at the bar and listen to great music. I did not have any food here. I did have an amazing Mojito. The bartender was a young man looking to join the Barrington police force. Polite, kind and also had great customer service skills. The reason why I didn't give it five stars is that there are absolutely no markings anywhere as to what trail you are on, how long of a trail it is, and where there may be porta potties. There aren't any maps or QR codes and it was a bit confusing as I came upon several wise and the trail to decide which way to go as I had limited time there. Given the fact that everything is so nicely taken care of I don't know how they can't have at least some markings on the trails that they have there. One of the workers sent me direction and it literally just took me to a pavilion. They have kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and SUP boards. They also offer lessons for SUP depending on the day. Lots of people fishing. Amazing Place! Please add signage for the trails! The pop and water machine near the beach entrance did not work. Hopefully those are checked daily to repair.

I attended this gym from February 2014 until August 2014 while I was living in Rockford for short amount of time due to work. I fully enjoyed my experience at Maximum performance and feel like I got more than my money's worth. The staff are incredible. They take a personal interest in helping you achieve your personal goals and motivate you throughout your entire journey. The trainers know you by name and really care about your progress. They are also extremely knowledgeable about health fitness and give great advice. Since leaving Rockford, I have not found another gym where I feel part of a family like how I felt at Max P. If you are looking for a place to work out and get great results as well as a place where you can meet and build genuine relationships with people who- I recommend Max P 100%!! read more

MaxP has been a game changer for me! I came in terrified & by the end of my first workout I knew I was hooked! Coach Iby is a true gem. She can modify any exercise to your ability level, she can help you through injuries & she always has just the right stretch for those sore muscles. She will also work with you on the nutrition side of things as well. If things are going the way you want them to, she will work with you to help you get there! I was also afraid of the gym community, but I seriously have not come across one person at Max P that didn't support me 100% & get excited for me as I reach my goals. No judgement. I recommend Maximum Performance to anyone that has ever said they don't have time to go to the gym. I was one of those people and there are still days that I revert to being that person again. If you have 45 minutes to scroll through Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc., you ABSOLUTELY have time for this gym. If you are leery of trying something new because everyone else has been doing it for a while, don't be. We all had to start Day 1 while others had been there before. No one is looking at you judging you, we are on this journey together. You are worth the time. You are worth the effort. You will succeed given the proper tools. Ive been at Maximum Performance for almost two years. The difference between this and other places is that everyone is here to make sure you obtain the results you want. If you dont show up for a couple days they will get a hold of you and make sure that you dont fall off track. Awesome nutritional guidence, great workouts for all levels of fitness and one heck of a support team which makes all the difference in this field. The owners and the people that go there are a second family to my significant other and me. If you have a goal you want to accomplish come down and at least see what they are all about. Before starting at MaxP I was going to another gym and trying to work out 4-5 times a week on my own. Running on the treadmill, elliptical, and some trainer led weight training but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. Since joining MaxP I've lost almost 20 pounds and toned my body.
