Specially because there're lots of signs saying "private property" or "do not park here" basically because you can park your car near this playgoeind AS LONG AS you don't block neighbors entrances nor the street. Preferably it's better to walk if you live close by. It has a small playground, picnic tables (covered and uncovered), benches to rest. A nice paved promenade for a stroller or tricycle. It's surrounded by lots of pine trees it's like been in the forest.

The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.

If you are planning to visit and not handicap please use the "west" parking lot. Just a heads up there is a sign we saw after we had already been there for hours. When we came a family was having a birthday party in the gazebo. It looked like a great place to have a party. The place is fenced in and good for 2 year olds and up. Shade is great in the summer. They said it was roughly 2-3 miles.. but I think it was like 594058439 miles long! I think I was halfway but daaaaanggg... I just paused for a second and thought "jeez.. if I wanted to give up at that point.. I would still have to go back half the miles I came"! Besides being out OF SUPER SHAPE.... The trial winds through a few thickets, a small bog, a terrific stand of old growth firs and follows a brook that eventually becomes a glorified trench. Plenty of small wild life includes squirrels, rabbits, red-winged black birds, ducks, sparrows chickadees and woodpeckers. While a few signs warned of bob cat, mountain lion and bears (really, in Bellevue?) what I found in most proliferation was the wild and well coiffed Eastside MILF commonly found gazing in Bellevue, Issaquah and Redmond. Both lakes are quite serene and larger than you might suppose. A great in-city adventure, I got in 5 miles of brisk urban hiking. Check Bellevue Park Dept.for various well marked trail heads.
