Everyone should try this luxurious service! I came in because my young adult daughter had heard about it and wanted to try it for a belated Mother's Day. Located in a strip mall between Camas and Washougal, there is ample parking. The vibe is day spa. There's a front room with salon chairs and a large back room with massage tables separated by curtains, as well as changing rooms. It's nice, clean and calming. The staff was very friendly and provided good education for our service and scalp health. I had Sammy, who was very nice and good at her job. We were given a phone to view the real-time images of the inspection of our scalps. So, if we had product build up or dry scalp, we could see that. We did the hydrotherapy service, which was 75 minutes and $105. It consisted of the scalp analysis, scalp massage, exfoliation, hydration and deep cleansing. We also got shoulder and neck massages, as well as hand massages. It was wonderful! At the end of the service, they revisited the magnifier on our scalps and we could see the difference! With this service, they blow dry your hair to about 75% but they don't style it. I highly recommend trying this out! read more

Dropped by this spot on a weekend with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by how big it was on the inside! It really winds in the back and provides a pretty relaxing atmosphere for some zen hair spa time. We first had a hair analysis then were taken back to change/disrobe on the top. Once you lay down, they give you a blanket and a little heating pad which was so darn cozy! Then begins the hair goodness or massage/rinse/massage/head scratch, rinse and repeat quite literally. It was super soothing though at times I did feel like the scratching was a biiiit intense for me -- they are incredibly receptive though and do check in to see whether things are at an appropriate pressure for you so you can always ask that they lighten what they're doing. We had the 45 minute slot and it was very relaxing overall. They do a damp dry afterwards so as not to remove all the moisture and goodness they just put into your hair. I will say this was slightly underwhelming compared to other parts of the service, but overall it was a really nice time, particularly for their very fair price. I took my daughter to her first head spa as a late birthday gift and she loved it! This place is nice and spacious. The technician does a scalp analysis and take you to the other room to change. Once you're in your gown, they will lead you to the station. This experience was very nice. 80% massage on the shoulder, neck, and scalp. 20% washing and rinsing. What a great way to relax and do something good for your hair. The spa is very relaxing and quiet and they do a great job of making sure you're comfortable during the service. If you have curly hair I would suggest bringing your own hair products and maybe a bonnet. They aren't well versed in how to blow dry or comb very curly hair. My daughter purchased a 60 minute "Refresh and Glow" package ($90) for me as a birthday present. I had never heard of Japanese head spa treatments before but she lived a year in Japan and suspected I would enjoy it. Wow, was she right! First, the clinic itself is tucked away in a mini-mall at the east end of Camas, Washington by a Dollar Store and Grocery Outlet. I know, I know. But Camas has evolved into quite a happening little community with a very cute historic downtown, which you can pass through, oohing and ahhing, on your way to your treatment. The scope itself is extremely clean, bright, and spacious. They serve wine or tea while you wait if you want. I was alone so opted for water. My aesthetician, a sweet young Vietnamese woman with limited English came and took me to a dressing room, handed me gown, told me to keep my pants on but take off the blouse and brassiere. It was all very polite and comfortable. She walked me to a table which is a lot like a massage table, but with some equipment I was not familiar with at the head end. For the next hour, she rubbed a series of oils into my hair, massaging them in with both her strong fingers and various implements which circled, vibrated, or rotated, depending on the sequence. It was an olfactory experience, for each scent stimulated different memories and sensations, all pleasant. Some time later she began shampooing my head with fragrant, foamy creams, massaging each one in, cupping my head as she worked. I nearly fell asleep. I found out that I love having my head scratched and massaged so I will be back. It's a definite unique experience but I believe my scalp benefitted immensely. Oh, there's a mini facial built into the sequences. Quite a nice bonus! Afterward, once I was dressed, she brought me out into the main room, put a diffuser on a blow dryer, and gently caressed the excess moisture out of my hair. Upon entering you'll be offered tea, wine, or juice. They then will take you to the back room and examine your scalp condition under a mobile microscope. Once concerns are addressed you are then moved into the treatment room. They will give you a mumu dress top to change into, your belongings will go in a basket under your treatment table. What a relaxing experience! This was my first time at a head spa. Beautifully decorated and sparkling clean! I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me but she was amazing and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The whole staff were so sweet. When I walked in, I was greeted by someone and took a seat until they called me to the chair. There are drinks in the lobby. I wasn't offered any but I think you're supposed to ask or help yourself? Anyway, we started out talking about my hair and looking at it through a microscopic camera. Then, I was walked to a dressing room. I told the lady I get cold easily so she suggested I take just the top off and keep my pants on. After getting dressed, she led me to my bed. The spa room consisted of beds next to each other separated by curtains, but it was so quiet that I wouldn't have noticed someone was next to me. I loved the atmosphere in that room. It smelled really nice and had calming music. The bed was comfortable and they put a blanket over you, as well as a heating pad over your belly so I stayed warm the whole time. She massaged my scalp, next, and shoulders with her hands and a variety of tools. She shampoo'd, conditioned, and rinsed my hair all while massaging in between each step. She then towel dried my hair and asked me to sit up. She dried my back and applied some lotion. After the spa session, I got dressed and went back into the chair. She then blow dried my hair. They tell you in the beginning that they don't style your hair so don't expect to come out of there with a blowout! I would highly recommend May Lily Head Spa. Can't wait to come back!! The price was so worth it. *I saw a review on here said the padding for your head was a hard surface but I didn't feel that way at all. It was firm but comfortable. Well I've been dying to try this place out since it opened and Walk ins are welcome so when I showed up today I was disappointed to wait in the lobby for over 20mins and never see a single person. I tried to call and it went to voicemail and I did try to politely ask if anyone was in the building and I never got a response. I gave up and sadly left. My daughter bought me this service as a gift. She purchased the ultimate package for $155 and I was so excited as I love to have my scalp massaged and hair "played with" in general. When I walked in the was no one there, so as stated I texted the number posted. Someone did come in and for the life of me I could not understand a word they said. I just nodded my head and said yes. Then someone who I could understand came in and she had me sit in one of the chairs. She then scratched my scalp with her fingernail and said "not bad." I later learned this was my Hair and scalp analysis under a microscope. Then she took me to a room and told me to get undressed on top. The first lady then came in and I don't know what she said so I stuffed my shirt/bra into a little locker that had an open spot in the room. When she took me to the table I mentioned where I had put my clothes and she picked up a basket, went and got them and put them in the basket. I was not able to understand the instructions, so I apparently put my clothes in the wrong place. The head massage began. She told me to lay on the table put the warm pillow on my stomach and eyes. The table surface my head was laying on felt like a piece of plywood. It was dark so I was never able to see what it was, but it was not comfortable at all. The massage progressed and I was honestly a little surprised, between the use of her hands and what I assume are several "head massage" tools, the whole process was at times very painful. There were moments where I wanted to say "stop," but I assume this was the normal process so I just tried to relax and make it through. After the head massage was over, the rest was fine. They had me sit up for a shoulder back massage which was not particularly relaxing while sitting up. The whole process was long and sometimes painful. Would I do it again? Absolutely not! I came home and told my daughter that the whole experience was nice because she spent so much money that she really didn't have to spend and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. Ultimately I will have to tell her the truth because I would not want another gift certificate for another occasion. I am not fragile, I can take a good firm massage like anyone else, but there was just not much to enjoy about this one. I was relieved when it was over and I certainly did not leave feeling relaxed. I tipped my person well, (I have no idea what her name was because no one ever introduced themselves). She tried. I guess the best way I can describe the experience is instead of a head massage, I received a scalp resurfacing. Still don't know what the Hair and scalp analysis under a microscope was supposed to be (or tell me about my scalp though). ... And I was never offered any beverage like apparently others were. As someone else said, the privacy is not the best with a sheer curtain between each guest but it's really dimly lit in there I got over it quickly. And yes, the service wasn't very customizable but I was very happy with it overall. With bigger begs, better privacy, and a slightly more tailored skin treatment I think I would make the drive more often. It was a bit pricy but I feel with the attention I received it was fair. Wow, what was this? The woman whom performed Treatment didn't really explained but by reading I was under the impression I was going to be getting an intense head massage wash my hair and my face. Unfortunately, the woman was more concerned about her her fake nails then she was about a massage. I've had a better 10 minute head massage this hour and a half of what I just paid for, she said she was the owner which I'm surprised the way that she handled things when I asked for more pressure she couldn't add more pressure her nails filed so she couldn't use her finger so she couldn't add pressure. I feel like I just paid Ojai CA prices for what could pass as one of those happy feet places that charge $60. For an hour. They left your hair a rats nest. The quality of the products in uncertain of. Hair feels super waxy. Then she. She had the hands of a mouse and tiny fingers and put no energy or care into what she was doing. I'm uncertain what lisence she carry's because she is claiming to do three different types of services massage, hair and facials? Is that not three different schooling types? I'm certain the workers there weren't licensed either as they only had one cosmetology license framed. Sadly, she was more concerned about herself than she was her paying customer. read more

First time at a head spa, though I'd seen videos on youtube and knew what to expect. I carry a lot of tension in my scalp and forehead, and got the 'ultimate tranquility' 90 minute package. I appreciated that she was honest that my scalp was already pretty clean, and never once during the process tried to upsell me on any products. Service was friendly and professional--and I know some people get nervous about going to asian-owned businesses because of a potential language gap, but that is certainly not an issue here. The head massage, face massage, neck/shoulder massage, scalp cleaning etc process was just delightful & melted away the tension. I frankly don't care about facials but she seemed to know what she was doing and it was very relaxing. My only minor complaint is that the water used generally runs lukewarm. This is better for the hair so that's likely why, but during the long service it did make me slightly chilled. This would be easily fixed if they replaced the heating pad on the stomach about halfway through the service. It likely wouldn't be an issue on shorter packages. read more

I had really high hopes for this place and fully anticipated adding this into my self-care routine but I was left disappointed. I love the concept and the staff were great but there were 4 major misses: 1) I had no privacy. You are in all large, dark room with other people and the only thing separating you from your neighbor is a sheer curtain. 2) the bed was too narrow. I would say that I'm an average-width woman and had no place to comfortably rest my arms. I was either fumbling with them across my stomach or tucking them under my butt so they wouldn't fall off the edge 3) no custom experience. They did not even glance at my skin which leads me to believe everyone gets the same generic face mask and judging from the Costco size of Nexxus spotted in the back room, it's reasonable to think everyone gets the same shampoo/conditioner regardless of hair type 4) I paid $186 for 90 minutes, including tip. I understand that I could do less time but I wanted to make it worth the 30 minute drive. In this economy, it's hard to justify paying that amount for an experience that was sub-par. read more

This was a bucket list item and I can't believe I found a head spa close to home. Finally got to go last weekend and it did not disappoint. The staff here are all wonderful, the space is a little odd driving up, it's in a strip mall and the lobby is a large strange space but ignore that. They take you back to a beautiful quiet room, everyone getting treatments is together but separated by curtains and no one is making a sound I promise. Lovely spa music and dimmed lights greet you and then you get your head massaged, shampooed, conditioned, neck and head rubbed for like an hour. What else can be better?
