I got a facial here recently. I have some pretty major gripes with a few things. First off, the salon was freezing. The room the facial was in, was even colder, and there's no warm blanket in the bed. I was freezing the whole time. Second, the towels she wiped my face with, were put on the floor. I was so grossed out by that. Third, I specified what I needed to focus on, and was completely ignored. I could easily put some stuff on my face, and wipe it off. I needed a good cleaning, and just didn't get it. I will never go back. Please do some serious changing, because I was really excited to find a close place to get facials at, but can't look past these things. read more

While Darlynn does very nice work, she is always late. Either arriving to the salon or, if she is there on time, getting the appointment started (one visit was 30 minutes late getting started). My feet were often left in cold water while she was on her phone. I would often sit for as much as 10 minutes multiple times through out fills waiting for her to get to or finish fills. One visit was 3 1/2 hours long for a pedi and fills. It should not take that long. As I said, she does nice work. But my time is valuable, too. Whoever is in your chair, sitting in front of you, should be the priority. read more

Seriously do not know why you'd go anywhere else. I'm such a spa snob too. But wanted to keep my business local so we tried out Glo. Our birthday group (ages 10, 11, 22, 46) had facials, manis, pedis and henna. Totally amazing artistry, customer service and atmosphere. I'm excited to get eyebrow microblading and lash extensions based on the great before-and-after pics of their clients. I was Hopeful this would have been a go to place in Washougal since it's so close to my house. First- a client that messed up her eye brows came in right as I got there too so Darlynn was busy fixing her eyebrows. Not a problem on its own, but frustrating in the big picture. Next she proceeded to complain about the way other salons operate, price gouge, use drills and cut the skin instead of price gouge. While saying all this, she did what she was complaining about and filed too much against the skin in two spots on my ring finger and a spot on my other hand, index finger. They were deep enough to burn and scab over. Lastly, I'm not a politics person. I pay attention but have to be careful because of crippling anxiety if I watch too much. She was telling me about moving her business to her house and said things like "who knows where we'll be in a year". Stuff like that is incredibly triggering. She may not care, but I wish she wouldn't have said it among other things. I won't go back because of the complaints about other salon while doing the same thing and the political comments. I wanted an hour of peace and ended up getting almost 2 hours and being quiet most of the time in hopes to not have to hear anymore and bloody cuticles. This mommy wanted an escape and maybe an adult conversation (I have a toddler) and this was just what I needed. Darlynn did a great job on my French tips, bonus was the stuff they use doesn't stink so you don't get hit with the fumes you usually get when you go get your nails done. I enjoyed being able to have a conversation with my technician, who asksed questions about me and made me feel like my time was valued too! Thank you for the amazing nails and conversation.
