Tammy clearly had the skills required and understood what I wanted to correct which was apparent after the first treatment. This was work that required some abrasive action along with some various applications of other products. Some of it featured a little sting here and there but the bottom line was, after the second treatment the itching had stopped. Tammy continued over the final four sessions to refine and texture the rough spots and extract tiny little bumps. She also minimized a small facial scar that I hadn't really been aware of. Since I went in primarily looking to resolve the itching, all the other work Tammy did was for me a bonus. My skin looks and feels much better. I also decided to start using a loofah sponge to maintain everything that was done. After having been spoiled by stylists from La Jolla, to Manhattan Beach to Pasadena, CA, after relocating to the PNW, I started my search in Portland. After a few failed attempts in coordinating appointments at top salons in Portland (they rescheduled and then I had to reschedule, then they rescheduled), I asked a colleague where she had just gone (her coloring looked fantastic). She referred me to Nico Bella. I called and immediately got an appointment with Wendee. Located in downtown Camas, I have always been able to find a parking spot within a block. Its a cute little shop that offers other treatments (I have used the manicurist, too). Once having my hair done by Wendee, I have never wandered. It's refreshing to have a stylist give you an honest opinion when experimenting with a new hairdo or look. Plus, I look forward to escaping the hectic work day to her quiet salon and leaving revitalized. As if that wasn't enough, during Covid, she has developed the best salon safety protocols hands down. I have sent multiple family members to visit her salon, feeling assured that she follows so many safety protocols. Plus, family members have left feeling the way I do. Located in a strip mall between Camas and Washougal, there is ample parking. The vibe is day spa. There's a front room with salon chairs and a large back room with massage tables separated by curtains, as well as changing rooms. It's nice, clean and calming. The staff was very friendly and provided good education for our service and scalp health. I had Sammy, who was very nice and good at her job. We were given a phone to view the real-time images of the inspection of our scalps. So, if we had product build up or dry scalp, we could see that. We did the hydrotherapy service, which was 75 minutes and $105. It consisted of the scalp analysis, scalp massage, exfoliation, hydration and deep cleansing. We also got shoulder and neck massages, as well as hand massages. It was wonderful! At the end of the service, they revisited the magnifier on our scalps and we could see the difference! With this service, they blow dry your hair to about 75% but they don't style it. I highly recommend trying this out!

Once you lay down, they give you a blanket and a little heating pad which was so darn cozy! Then begins the hair goodness or massage/rinse/massage/head scratch, rinse and repeat quite literally. It was super soothing though at times I did feel like the scratching was a biiiit intense for me -- they are incredibly receptive though and do check in to see whether things are at an appropriate pressure for you so you can always ask that they lighten what they're doing. We had the 45 minute slot and it was very relaxing overall. They do a damp dry afterwards so as not to remove all the moisture and goodness they just put into your hair. I will say this was slightly underwhelming compared to other parts of the service, but overall it was a really nice time, particularly for their very fair price. Call and make an appointment so you can have some zen time, either alone or with a friend! The gals here were super sweet and I would totally consider going back.
