The salon is very clean, the staff is so considerate of my time, they offer a variety of options at reasonable prices, and my nails are perfect every single time. I call ahead each time I want to stop in, either the same day or one day prior, and I highly recommend that all other customers do the same. They are polite and reachable over the phone. Very disappointed...please be aware that this shop was sold and most of the staff is new. It's not May nails. They have no loyalty to May's customer base. They would not honor a gift card issued by May nails so they really are just new people and care nothing about the customers who have supported the shop in the past. There are so many nail places why support one that doesn't care about those that were loyal customers in the past. Can't wish them luck. Think time will tell as people see this is not the warm and friendly place that it once was and karma will prevail and they will lose customers. I LOVE this salon. I have been going since I was in high school... i am now a college graduate. They are so nice and when I was in college they would ask when I am going back and how I am doing. I always get my pedicures from them because they are reasonably priced! I have recently went from regular pedicures to gel pedicures and wow is all I can say! They last me well over a month. My toenail broke in half and it was a few days before a wedding I was in. They quickly fixed this and told me how they would do it and they did amazing. I got my pedicure 6/14/24 and they are still on at 7/25/24. I wanted to write this because I see reviews about quality but you must keep in mind how much we use our hands. I live in DC and always come here when I am in town visiting family. They ate fantastic for a great price! Everyone is nice and friendly. Jack is the best. I had a gel manicure done with cat's eye and a regular pedicure and it was only $43. They turned out great! My second visit here and definitely my last. First of all, they ignore the customers and have side conversations with each other. When they do finally get to you, they're quick and careless. My pedicure looks like garbage and I went and fixed it myself. Normally if a nail salon feels like they made a mistake, they come over to you to fix it...not this place. Okay, I never leave ratings but I just had to for this place. This 1 star rating is solely because of the terrible quality of the gel manicure I received. My nails were chipping not even 24 hours after getting a GEL mani-- the whole point of getting the gel is so it lasts a week or two, right? Well, apparently not here. Then, after less than 48 hours, little "cracks" in the color started to appear all over each nail: imagine how broken cement looks, after 20 years of being vigorously stomped on by angry giants-- that's what my nails now look like. I am so disappointed, as they were very friendly, have great hours, and their prices are super affordable. read more

The place is not dirty & during the pandemic they the staff regularly had covid tests. The only downfall which would make someone think it's dirty is because it requires updating. Terrible experience here. Price that was given at the end of the service did not match the prices that were posted on the wall. When I asked for a breakdown of the cost and why it wasn't the same as what was posted, she couldn't come up with an explanation and came up with something on the spot that still didn't add up. On top of that, enough polish was not applied to my nails they were still sheer when she was done. Two of my tips broke off after not even a week and a half of getting them done. I got a dip powder manicure for the first time on May 13th. I read that it can last from 3 to 4 weeks. The manicurist did a great job and my nails looked beautiful. Unfortunately, by day 8 I noticed that two of my nails had cracks in them and by day 10 one of the cracks completely broke off. I have been so careful with cleaning and washing of dishes because I wanted to try and get a full 4 weeks out of them. I'm so disappointed and mad that I spent $40.00 plus the $10.00 tip to have them done. It was such a waste of money. I've been coming to this salon for 11 years, have rarely has any issues and if there is an issue they fix it immediately, the salon isn't dirty as others have mentioned just out dated- Michelle has been my primary manicurist for as long as I've been coming here and she's great, it's terrible that we expect so much, the prices are right the customer service is there and this family run business deserves way better than these mediocre reviews- people love to complain and rarely ever write reviews that are genuine or nice because it's too much to go out of your way to do good. I've been to other places(had gift cards) and they talk about you behind your back, you pay way more and the service,is just that-service, nothing special. Support small,local businesses. read more

I made an appointment for tips and powder. I usually do my own nails at home since I learned during quarantine in 2020 and i was appalled by the way this nail salon did my nails. First off the woman who did my nails had her airpods in and did not look like she was focused. Second off she cut me 3 times by filing the side of my nail. So much that she broke my skin and I started to bleed. I asked for a medium to long length and the woman did not listen to me and cut them extremely short. Not only are they short but they are extremely crooked and all of them are different lengths. I left the salon with powder all over my fingers and when I got home I tried rubbing it to get it off and it did not come off because it had already hardened on my skin. I never write reviews but this was horrific. I've never had a manicure that hurt so much. Save yourself some money and don't go here. A toddler could do better. read more

Omg, this nail spa is so clean and give me a bottle of water. I have tried their honey lemon spa pedicure for $25. Includes a 10 minutes foot massage and a steamer on my foot, which I have not seem from other nail spa. It was a pleasure experience I have. I was told they just reopen a couple week ago. I preferred the ownership a few years ago. My experience has not been positive the last few times I went. When I have an appointment I still have to wait way past my appointment. Today I stopped in spur of the moment and was told to wait. When I questioned how long they said it would be better if I came back in 1 hour. So I did. Still waited for 30 minutes. Can you imagine going for a pedicure, and coming out with a sore toe? You think you cannot go wrong with a $20 mani and pedi deal, especially when it's offered everyday of the week. The place looks clean, and it has a lot of customers. However, two different workers hurt me when cutting my cuticles. (I go to nail salons weekly, and it has never hurt to cut cuticles.) A worker cut one of my toenails so short that it bled, and now it is throbbing in pain. I'd like to think I drew a short straw and had bad luck with my one experience here, but I'd think twice before I return to this spot. read more

Nail salon is under new management and was very recently renovated! I've been three times already and all were great experiences. The staff are all very friendly and helpful! Everything is extremely clean!! They use a liner in the pedicure tub and still take the time to clean thoroughly. Paraffin wax and sugar scrub included in my regular pedicure. They also provide water bottles when you come in. What a difference these details make! Priced reasonably for excellent service. Highly recommend!! read more
