It It was a beautifully taught class that was peaceful and balanced. It incorporated breath with movement and encouraged a quiet mind. The teacher Ricarda was kind and gentle and a great instructor. My husband took me as a birthday present last year, and it was so good that we had to go back again and I felt compelled to shared why. Victoria Balentine is the owner of the farm and the yoga instructor, and I cannot rave about her enough. She used to be a yoga teacher in NYC and, in addition to goat yoga, she is currently practicing as a wellness healer licensed in acupuncture and other holistic healing medicines. For that reason, she comes from a place of true genuine care and has such a great vibe. She has such a calming presence and she makes sure that everyone was comfortable and had ample goat experience. The goat yoga class itself PHENOMENAL. The goats were incredibly playful and affectionate, and it was so relaxing to do yoga while surrounded by them. Having them around while practicing yoga truly brings out your inner child :) After the yoga class, I took a farm tour with Victoria and her husband, where I learned all about the baby yoga goats as well as their mothers! The goat mothers were so sweet I couldnt tell you if the babies or mothers were cuter! We also met her adorable chickens and saw them laying eggs! She showed us how she milks the goats and makes a variety of amazing cheeses. She also grows all her own food and eats completely seasonally. I was so inspired by the humane and sustainable farming practices that the farm uses that every since then my husband and I have tried to adopt a seasonal diet and eat local whenever possible. Overall, I had such an incredible time at the goat yoga farm and farm tour with cheese tasting that we came back again the next year. This is an experience I highly recommend to everyone! Eventually a new (as in her first class teaching there) instructor arrived and did t know how to check us in and couldn't take a credit card payment. Luckily I had cash and the former owner came in to take the class and knew where the change was. I'm not blaming the teacher at all, I own a studio and k ow how it goes. But the current owners really need to provide better training and support to their instructors. I enjoyed the class and the space.

It's in a sort of industrial warehouse space. Very high ceilings and little sound proofing between the studios. While I was attending the class, I was really bothered by the amount of noise coming from a group of teenage girls who I think were doing aerial yoga in another studio. Really killed the vibe of the vinyasa class especially during the relaxation portion in the last 10 minutes. Also, this studio is very dog friendly, so folks with allergies please note this. Especially in the entry way, there were a couple dogs including one that appears to belong to the owners. Not sure I'd come back here which is not something I say lightly about a yoga studio.

My personal favorite are the aerial classes, which have changed my body in ways that other fitness classes have failed. Jessica challenges and pushes you in every class, but if you are a beginner or have injuries, she modifies the exercises specific to your needs. Also, which is extremely important for me, she changes the classes every time to avoid boredom and so your body doesn't get used to the same movements. Other great pluses are the Rockband class - an hour of nonstop cardio hitting wood blocks with drum sticks and Aerial Cirque d Soleil class - performing aerial acrobatics in the swing. She also coordinates a team for obstacle/running events held locally (i.e. warrior dash, urban raid, inflatable 5K, etc) and has a couple weeks out of the year teaching kids specifically. Overall, the atmosphere at the studio (and owner) is warm, welcoming, fun, and challenging. A MUST studio to check out!
